Pork BBQ with a toasted roll with fresh Cole slaw and home made chips! Best Ever Sandwich!

My Sister and I were looking to pop in and get a fish or shrimp taco. Very nice place shrimp taco was really good. Love the avocado slices on the taco as well. Fresh is the favor of the day! Carlos is this place barbecue place on the front of the building. His barbecue is the best I've tasted for the crispy wrong fresh coleslaw made on the spot! I was worried it might be too sorry but he's been playing with the seasonings and recipe to where it's just perfect ! Man is it Great Tasting too.

3.5 stars // It's not always easy to find gluten free or Paleo eats while on the road, which is why I was enthused by Kaboburritos, a Mexican-mediterranean fast-casual place at The Market at Liberty Place. The combo of cuisines initially seemed odd, but the Tall Man and I decided to just go for it and see. This was my first time at the Market, a mini food hall of sorts off the main drag in Kennett Square. It looked like there was a good amount of variety for meals and snacks, so I made a mental note to come back and try some others. Midday wine tasting, anyone? Back to Kabo, which is located near the back of the Market. You order by selecting your choice of protein, a dish, and a style (Mexican or Mediterranean). All ingredients were listed on the board, which made it super easy to tailor my meal. I got the chicken Mediterranean salad without tomatoes and dairy, while the Tall Man got a lamb burrito Mexican style (what other way is there?). The woman at the register was fun to talk with, plus she had many helpful suggestions. We ate on the road, which was slightly messy. My salad was full of ingredients, with a generous portion of marinated chicken and two huge scoops of hummus. I didn't even need dressing. It was fresh and filling, although the hummus was pretty chunky (not really my taste) and the flavors were fine but not amazing. The Tall Man's burrito was ok, with the lamb being the best part and everything else lacking in flavor. I would probably come back to try something else, knowing this was a place to get a quick, fresh meal that's relatively within my dietary needs. Although the flavors were just fine, the service did bump my review up towards 4 stars.

Good little place with Mexican and Mediterranean fare. We were at Longwood Gardens and had some time to grab food and decided to venture out towards Kennett Square. This place had good reviews and a unique combo of two foods I wouldn't typically see served together. Even though I went with Mexican this time I would definitely come back and try their Mediterranean. I got a chicken quesadilla and my fiancé ordered the chicken burrito bowl. His looked like a good portion and my chicken quesadilla was pretty big too. I really liked how they didn't just give me salsa and sour cream on the side but also guac at no extra charge! Big plus in my book as I always end up getting guac on the side. The quesadilla was actually pretty decent too and the chicken had great marinated flavor. This really surprised me because most of the time the chicken in a quesadilla is very bland and the cheese is making up most of the flavor. The atmosphere here is a little strange. Not a place I would typically pick and maybe choose takeout or sit outside if I wasn't familiar with it but it is nice that there is a full bar in here plus other food options if other members of your group do not want this type of food. I think I would come back if I'm in the area. Not sure if I'd go out of my way though.

Fast casual restaurant serving Mediterranean Mexican fusion inside The Market at Liberty Place. I wanted a quick and casual bite after visiting Longwood Gardens and Kaboburritos worked out nicely (only a 10 minute drive away from the gardens). The menu here is quite simple - they offer burritos/bowls, tacos, salads, or platters in either Mediterranean style or Mexican style with your choice of protein. Although my group was the only customers, it did take about 15-20 minutes to get our orders. I had the Mediterranean style tacos with chicken, and they were light and tasty with nice flavors from the feta, hummus, tabouli, tomato salsa mix, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce. I also tried some of the Mediterranean platter with falafel and Mexican platter with shrimp and thought both were simple but enjoyable. While everything tasted good, nothing really stood out for me. I've had much better Mexican food and much better Greek food before, and this fusion just ranked average for me. I might consider coming back if I'm in the area but I likely won't go out of my way.

Came in on Wednesday, Thanksgiving eve around 6pm. Sadly, the only difference between the (Mediterranean) bowl and the platter was that it included (half) pita bread. Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered it. Based on previous Yelp reviews, for the platter, it's a larger entree: the hot items are supposed to be served in a separate container thus that's why it's $5 more than a bowl. The amount of chicken was sparse, tasted bland, and was dry and overcooked. And the white rice was not even warm. The salad wasn't impressive either, bland despite hummus and dressing. In retrospect, I probably should have walked away before ordering. I noticed as I was walking up to the counter that the three employees working there were in a deep conversation and didn't acknowledge me even though one of them saw me standing there. And when my order was finally taken, the person looked distracted and unhappy. The entire experience was pretty dismal and disappointing.

Walk up counter. Plenty of seating.

What a great crazy Mexican Mediterranean Grill. They call it Mexiterranean, I call it delicious!! Stopped here today with my wife and daughter after visiting the Orchid Exhibit at Longwood Gardens about five minutes away. It is located in a food court with several other very nice restaurants. There is plenty of comfortable seating in a common area with large rustic tables. We started with an order of side starters. Tzatziki, which was garlicky full of cucumber chunks and delicious , Pico De Gallo and a very nice Tabouli with grilled pita and crispy tortilla chips. Crazy. My Lamb Tacos Mediterranean style were excellent. They were stuffed with tender tasty lamb and creamy hummus, tabouli, grilled peppers, feta, Tzatziki sauce and balsamic glaze. Crazy. My daughter loved but could not finish her generous portion of Mediterranean Chicken Salad. Had enough for s nice dinner or tomorrow's lunch. Even though we were stuffed we found room to share some Churros, they were hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. This is great place to stop after visiting the Gardens or when in the nice town of Kennett Square.

My family tried Kaboburritos for the first time last weekend and were pleased! First of all, the Market at Liberty Place is great because everyone can have something different. Everyone in my group ended up wanting Kaboburritos. Two ate Mediterranean food, one had a burrito, and I had the burrito bowl. The bowl was good. It was a nice size, and the rice and beans were good. It also came with avocado, which is always a plus. The only thing that I didn't love was the dressing. It said chipotle ranch on the menu, which sounded like something I'd enjoy, but in reality, it tasted like french dressing. It was really sweet and sugary, and in my opinion did not go great with the salad. Next time I'll order it with just the salsa--that would be plenty, and it would be a healthier alternative.

Great spot. 1st the market itself has plenty of options. After looking around I decide to try the tacos. I enjoyed the shrimp and chicken tacos. There was plenty of flavor in all the tacos. Loaded with meat, cheese, salsa, guacamole, lettuce and corn for filling. The service was good and food came out both hot and fresh.

I love when this happens…read more With no agenda, we ended up in West Chester PA (vs Westchester NY.) A cute town with an inordinate number of restaurants, we peered into windows and read menus. "The Mediterranean Restaurant" sparked interest. Infusing Lebanese and Italian cuisines, they garnered great reviews. Also BYOB. After running to Carlinos for a bottle of red, we took our chances at Mediterranean without a reservation. (Do indeed make one if you come for dinner.) I chatted with the couple across from us. "This is the best restaurant in West Chester," the fellow said. They live here and have been to them all. We started with what's called a Maza Platter: customer's choice of four appetizers. I selected feta & olives, tabouli, hummus and baba ghanoush. Delish!! (Unlike my husband, I wasn't a fan of feta, but this feta was infinitely better than anything I've had before.) The spreads are made inhouse. The cheese isn't. T raved about the lamb kabob, which was likely grilled. I in turn recommend their falafel encrusted chicken. Chef isn't afraid to spice things up and everything was noticeably fresh. Even the sides were stand-out. The aforementioned couple recommended Mediteranean's apple pie for dessert, a seemingly odd choice. They said it's baked in the restaurant's adjoining bakery. Since they ran out of ice cream -- what's pie if it's not a la mode?! -- T and I shared baklava. Two thumbs up. Homemade, not saturated in syrup. I'd like to give a shoutout to Jason, our delightful and efficient server. He does the restaurant proud. Note that Mediterranean has been in West Chester for 29 years. (That's a virtual lifetime in the restaurant world!) Prices we thought reasonable, and portions generous.

The entrees weren't any better. Ran out of beef. Not sure how one does that on a day with like 3 tables. Tried the special soup, which we sent back. The bolognese was gross. Tasted sort of like Chef Boyardee, but worse. The had to argue with the "chef" to even take it off the tab. She suggested we'd be better off eating at home. We agree. McDonald's would have been a step up. It seems like they just don't have any spices or salt in that kitchen. Plus the servers would just disappear for ages. It appeared that this was our server's first job in food service. Service was rather slow. And hour in, no entrées. It's in an hold house, which was cute. Most tables are upstairs. If you want Mediterranean food, you'd be better off cooking something from the Betty Crocker cookbook.
