The food was okay in terms of taste. My daughter (youngest) had the sushi and she said it was fresh and yummy. The chicken teriyaki was for my eldest and she said it was good food but there were some parts that were hard to bite down but overall great tasting food. The portion is great. My ramen tasted okay, barely any meat. It was very disappointing. I wanted to ask our server Rafael for more meat but he was no where to be found. By the time I was done he came by for our dessert order then he gave me someone else's receipt. The service sucks. This restaurant is located at The Collection, an outdoor mall. The restaurant looked as it didn't have enough waiters because only one side of the restaurant was available for dining. So we had to be put on waitlist in order. When we did get seated I would say the waiter and serving staff did a good job taking our order & getting food served in good time. My wife and I both ordered the chicken teriyaki. Very large portion of chicken with white rice and green salad. Just the right amount of teriyaki sauce and it was not overly sweet. It came with small scrappy slices of salmon, yellowtail and ahi tuna, a hunk of fake krab, a cooked shrimp and two large hunks of super sweet omelet. We chose this restaurant for its large outdoor seating. But the food is more mall food court quality. Had a Samurai combo with beef, chicken and tempura. The beef was good and a large serving of chicken teriyaki. What I did not like is the miso soup and rest of the food was cold. The hibachi seafood was hot, and the the plate tasted good except the sauce was extremely salty. For fun we had some tropical drinks. Next time I'll skip them. I didn't like that the blue drink was green, it tasted of too much pineapple juice. Then again, a mall restaurant is not a tiki bar. read more

2nd time I've been here. Service was less than fair this time. I got my entrée 15 minutes before my wife received hers. The chili oil/Jalapeno sides I asked for to go with my meal, were brought when she got her food, not with mine. Our appetizers showed up when we were finishing our entrées and brought right before the check! Food was ok, not great but these guys were so disorganized and our service was a joke! Food with tip over $100 and not really worth half that. I can get great Japanese food and drinks at Sumo in Camarillo for around $60 for us both with caring attentive service and appetizers first. I'm sure rent is high in the Collection but If everything was good with fast service, an extra star or two could have been added. read more

Husband and I hadn't been here in over 4 years (there are so many great restaurants to try in this shopping center!) so we decided to give it a go last night. I was super excited to get the fried onigiri but their menu had been re-worked since my first visit and that was no longer offered. Neither was the snow crab roll that had been missing an ingredient last time. We got the fried tofu again, I got some fried rice and a krab hand-roll, an order of inari and hubby got tonkatsu ramen and cucumber salad and an eel and avocado roll. None of the food was super enough to convince us to want to return. I asked for the inari warm and it was room temp cool, which is better than super cold. It had mushrooms in the rice, which is fine. Wasn't expected and I don't like mushrooms but it's a fancier version of the item so I won't fault them too much. Fried rice was fine. Krab hand roll was nice, though slightly heavy on the mayo flavor. Hubby ate the pork off his ramen and abandoned the broth and noodles. He said the noodles weren't good and the broth just tasted like garlic, not like rich pork. Eel and avocado roll was good when it finally arrived (they thought they delivered everything and we had to ask where our last roll was). Fried tofu was fine. Based on the dining options in the area, the changing of the menu and lackluster taste on this visit, we're not expecting to return here. Service was fine. We stopped by at around 3:30 on a Sunday and the place was not crowded. Got a table immediately. read more

Not much about this experience was good. First, the hostess sat us at a still-dirty table. Food and napkins were littered underneath like maybe children had sat there and everything was sticky. That was a red flag. Second, we ordered drinks and food at the same time. It took our server so long to greet us, that we already had plenty of time to mull over the menu and decide what to order. After we ordered, we watched the bartender pour our beers and they sat on the counter....and sat...and sat... We got our food before we got our beers--incredibly disappointing. Our food came out cold and bland, too. The only good thing was the baked scallop California rolls-- they were pretty good. But they came out very late (either the kitchen or the server forgot about them) after our other plates had already been cleared. Since we didn't enjoy the food, we didn't finish our plates. In the end, the server gave us a small discount, which was appreciated. This was the first and last time I would eat here. read more

We sat there for 20 mins waiting for a waiter. I was literally about to walk out, I was hungry and I shouldn't have to wait for someone to notice us. We were literally seated in the middle of the restaurant inside, clearly someone noticed us, but didn't mind to come over. I flagged a bus boy down and complained that we've been sitting for 20 mins and how no one came to help. He brought a server over after a couple mins. I have the biggest love and hate relationship. I use to go there a lot more often, we always get the Spicy Chili Beef Ramen, and We constantly get it wrong! It seems the have a terrible communication issue, their food is mover an issue, it's always the way they comunícate or the customer service! The Firecracker Appetizer it's amazing, I love their Alaskan Roll, I won't mention all the items we've tried but all I can say is that the food it's excellent! If you are looking for fast assembly line sushi it is fine. There are so many really good sushi places in the area we won't be coming back. Very small menu and extremely little sauce and flavor.
