Wow! Am I impressed with Kacey's! It has everything: great food, excellent service in a nice environment at a reasonable price! My cod sandwich was fresh, hot, with a light, crisp crunchy coating. I usually find Ciabatta to be heavy, but this one was light and delicious. It comes with a remoulade drizzle; I needed more. My partner's shrimp po-boy was proclaimed the best eaten ... maybe ever. Lots of shrimp of a good size, good fixings, not enough remoulade. The fries and my coleslaw were excellent as well, I just couldn't get to them after the amazing sandwich. Btw, sandwich comes with bacon and guacamole, which I requested be taken off of mine. We topped it off with their lemon cake. It was amazing! I'm happy to find a place like this so close to I-75. This strip mall hidden gem could be a large wharf restaurant with such a diverse menu. Our party had the lobster bisque, shrimpscargot, blackened grouper, shrimp scampi, lobster tail, and kacey's platter. The lobster bisque was rich & creamy but needed some lobster meat/bits in it. The lobster tail sat under the heat lamp too long waiting for our other plates and was dry. The rest of the food was EXCELLENT!! The service was pleasant and attentive. My family came in at lunch time and was greeted very kindly by staff. When walking in, it is a smaller restaurant and you can see into the kitchen. They had many boxes scattered around the kitchen and dining area filled with food products and dishes. When we sat down in the almost empty restaurant, we were greeted and given menus. They didn't have a physical kids menu available but they were able to list the items per our request. I ended up getting the shrimp scampi, my mom got the fried shrimp basket, and my brother got the kids chicken tenders. The scampi was good but the bread seemed stale and the scampi was very strong. I tried some of my mom's shrimp and they were very good. My brother seemed to enjoy his chicken too. Throughout the meal, our waitress was not very attentive and was constantly wondering around when we were clearly trying to contact her.. If I were to go back, I would definitely get the fried shrimp rather than the scampi. Doubt I will be going back due to me being in Florida for only a couple days. read more

Stopped here for our last dinner before we head to the airport home. The service was friendly and staff knowledgeable. The prices weren't bad. Pretty reasonable in my opinion. Like $15 to $24 for any of their entrees on special, and $8 to $14 for most items on the menu. No draught beer, just a small selection of bottles. They also had wine and sangria. We had a party of four and only spent $90. Not bad at all. The food was good and seemed fresh. I liked the hush puppies! And the shrimp was huge! Very tasty. This is approximately my 4th or 5th time at Kacy's Seafood. I don't always think of it when I'm in the area but I always enjoy my meal. The service is always friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is a little cramped but enjoyable. The food runs from pretty good to excellent. I've had fish here grilled, blackened and fried. Most of the preparations have been very good or better. I have to mention that the lobster bisque is very good and the gumbo is outstanding (ok, not New Orleans outstanding but definitely FL outstanding) . I do have to criticize the French fries. They are clearly "out of the bag" quality. For a restaurant that is clearly conscientious about the quality of their entree's, they should make the extra effort regarding this silly but very important side dish. I can't imagine it would be difficult to make fresh (in house) cut fries. I've noticed this on more than one occasion. The wine options are ok but they need a few more craft beer offerings. Bottle or draft. Anything to improve the choices. More IPA's, a pale ale or two and possibly a dark beer option. Overall, I do like Kacy's. I might go back and order 2 bowls of gumbo next time. LOL. Attention to a few details would make Kacy's a place I would think of more often. read more

Finished our beach day with the question of what to do for dinner. Hit up Yelp and found Kaceys seafood. Looked at reviews and thought we'd give it a shot. WOW. Our excellent experience started with the host. Very friendly, accommodating and a real pleasure. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was very prompt. We ordered and the food was there in just a few minutes. Very hot and fresh. No visit to the heat lamp. Again, the wait staff as well as the host made stops at each table to check on the experience. Great customer service! This place is pretty small so be prepared to wait a little while but they are very efficient and get customers moved through quickly. Place was very clean. You can immediately tell that the staff takes pride in the customers experience. Will definitely visit again. BTW - as we were leaving, the host remembered our name and wished us a good evening by name. read more

Honestly cannot say enough good things. The food here is so delicious. I've had takeout from here a few times but finally got the opportunity to dine in on a Sunday afternoon. The place is small with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Had our 3 year old twins with us which is a challenge in itself but they were treated very attentively as well. The food is amazing, desserts good too. We were looking for a seafood restaurant half way between Fort Myers and Palm Harbor FL. Kacey's fit the requirement and was close to the 75. The food was very good. We had the shrimp w/ ahi tuna, gumbo, fish tacos, shrimp porboy, and shrimp sampler. Anything with the shrimp is a star. ( Wasabi shrimp = amazing) Good beer selection and refreshing Sangria. I have come here numerous times for fish. Last week it was like always...good. However, came 5 days later and it was so off. Not just hard and chewy (like overcooked fish, because it wasn't ) but more like a whole different kind of fish, the texture wasn't flakey or white and like it came from a different source/food broker, sadly the quality has been compromised. My friend ordered the exact dish ( $17 fish n chips) and hers too, was just as hard and chewy. We didn't finish it. The waitress told us nothing changed. Well, it tasted like an old salty frozen expired piece of fish! (Both pieces of mine and both on my friends plate) later, in disbelief, I asked a SECOND waiter and we were told that IN FACT, they sometimes DO have to use different suppliers! Well, they should take heed, that these behind the scene changes, forever loose customers. I'm no longer feeling confident in what kind of fish OR it's origin...that I was eating / served. I couldn't help wondering if I was eating an imposter like Swai? Which has more sodium...(hence the salty taste I experienced) Anyway, I'm selective with what fish goes in my body and know that sometimes Swai gets pulled off as a more expensive fish like grouper, flounder or sole. This Resturant should keep its quality control (or suppliers) in check. When employees are not informing the managers or it's owner, of food quality complaints...you may not be aware that your losing regular customers. read more
