    Clam Strips Appetizer
    Heino P.

Top Notch Seafood It's been many years since our last visit and we were so glad to find them still in business as a premier seafood eatery. We had tickets for a show at Van Wezel and Kacey's is just 15 minutes away making it a perfect spot for dinner before the show. We got there on a Monday evening at about 5:00 and it was packed with a waiting list, but they just happened to have one open table for two and we were seated immediately. Some years back, they were one of the few places that offered whole belly clams, but they now only serve clam strips. Knowing that this is a class operation, I ordered them from the Starter Menu ($15.00). Perfect. A basket loaded with tender, thick strips of clam with a very light coating and deep fried expertly. Golden brown and delicious with a nice clammy flavor, moist and not even a little chewy. Served with a lemon wedge and a homemade tarter sauce. We loved them. My wife ordered the Crab Cakes from the Starter Menu ($15.00). She is a crab cake fiend and has tried many and these were top notch. Just enough fillers to hold an abundant amount of crab together as a cake, then seared on a flat top. Served artistically on a platter with Cajun remoulade that added just the right amount of extra flavor to the cakes. 2 cakes and all I got was one little taste. My wife really enjoyed them. She had a small House Side Salad ($6.00) with her cakes and it too was very good. The salad had a mix of greens, dried cranberries, shredded cheddar cheese and tomato and she added a flavorful raspberry vinaigrette dressing. I had the Steamed Mussels off the Starter Menu ($14.00). I suspect this was a pound of plump, moist mussels, swimming in a lemon-garlic wine sauce, joined with a couple pieces of garlic bread. The sauce was a nice change from the usual butter wine sauce that is often served with mussels. I left no mussel in it's shell. This is a very popular restaurant as the patron flow was non-stop during our visit. I look forward to returning in the future.

Shrimp Trio with Rice Pilaf and sweet potato fries

One thing you can count on at Kacey's Seafood is the consistently good food. We had the Shrimp Trio which is now my favorite dish here. Comes with 2 sides Rice Pilaf and green beans and you can sub a side for other delicious sides they have if you wish. Our server Kinga is a seasoned person who knows how to give you the royal treatment and she has great ideas for dishes should you find yourself in a quandary as to what to select. The atmosphere is very low key and relaxed with plenty of room between tables where you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor. The house wines are very good (Oxford Landings from South Australia) and can stand up to your more higher priced wines without busting your wallet. Bottom line is if you want good seafood with a variety of selections to chose from with all fresh ingredients this is your go to place. You won't be disappointed!!

We sat outside. Even though this place isn't in the most scenic spot, the service made up for it. The food was good. The portions were decent size. We all took a box home with us. I got the fish and chips. It was cooked well and the chips were crispy. The steamed mussels were perfect too. This place lives up to the hype.

    Cajun Mahi Salad
    Roy B.

We had an awesome lunch that really hit the spot while we were house hunting in the area. Using my trusty Yelp-app, we picked a place close to the highway and en route to our next quarry. Outside there are 5 or 6 tables and a hostess stand while inside there are 12 more tables that seemed to be occupied and reoccupied during our visit. Even at 3:00, at an off hour, people continued to wander in for a pickup order or a meal with 2 or four people Service came quickly and Katie took our drink order. She explained the specials for the day and offered recommendations. While inside we noticed that the glass storefront admitted all natural sunlight and the new tile and clean environment made for an enjoyable meal. The only downside to the meal was the view while facing the kitchen. There is a shelving unit just full of plates and boxes and all sorts of things we ought not see. A partition from the kitchen to the dining area might help. Other than that the food we ate was very fresh and the salad ingredients were fresh and crisp. The bang bang shrimp came out hot and delicious. My fish tacos were good and well put together. Maybe a little more seasoning but not a game killer. The Cajun mahi salad my wife got was the best. Large portion of fish and very fresh salad made for a great meal. Prices were beyond fair and we would come back anytime we come to the area

Casual spot with good food and service. Coconut shrimp was tasty and the bang shrimp appetizer (not pictured) was delicious!!

    Bang-bang Shrimp!

What an incredible lunch we had at Kaceys! We ordered the bang-bang shrimp, crab cakes and a Greek salad. The flavors were out of this world! By far the best food we have had in awhile! Our service was excellent! And the staff were amazing. We will definitely be back!

    Lobster Bisque
    Tim N.

Stopped in for an early dinner today with some friends. The fresh catch snapper with lemon garlic butter was amazing, as was the pecan horseradish encrusted salmon. Their salad was very good as well, and the orange bee sting glaze was also very good on salmon. Lobster bisque was great! Service was very good, and we felt like we got a good value meal today. Definitely will be back to try other menu items in the future.

    Kacey's Platter
    Alicia A.

Small, popular, busy spot but we were able to get seated quickly on a hot Thursday night in July. Friendly and attentive waitress. I ordered the fresh market snapper blackened. It was a little over cooked, so kind of on the dry side, that's why the 4 stars. My boyfriend got the Kacey's platter and he said the ribs, crab cake and coconut shrimp were good the potato pancake was ok. I liked my green beans side and hush puppies. Solid spot.

We arrived early upon opening and were seated right away. Parking is a dream compared to the downtown location. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating. Another benefit to getting there early is the discounted apps. We enjoyed an order of deviled eggs and some seasoned buttery rolls. My advice is not to order the rolls; they're tasty, but honestly, it's just bread, and if you only want to opt for one or two apps, it just seems like a bit of a waste, but that's just me. I don't eat seafood; my family loves it, so I ordered the veggie risotto. Dannnnng, it was so good, and it was extremely filling and enough to feed like five people. I took most of it home and got like two meals out of it. We were too full to really enjoy the dessert, but we split a cobbler three ways, and that one bite was sinfully good.

Exceptional Customer Service -- Thank You, Antonio Rossitto!…read more My wife and I had lunch at 131 MAIN today and wanted to recognize Manager Antonio Rossitto for an exceptional experience. Our meals arrived lukewarm, and we mentioned it to our waiter simply so the restaurant would be aware--we weren't looking for anything in return. Our waiter brought Antonio over, and from that moment, Antonio took complete ownership. He insisted on having both meals remade fresh from scratch and then personally brought the piping-hot meals back to our table. The food was incredible, but what happened afterward impressed us even more. Antonio came back to check on us and surprised us by telling us he had comped our entire meal. We never asked or expected him to do that. He simply wanted to make sure our experience was up to the standard that 131 MAIN expects for every guest who walks through their doors. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant. What separates a good restaurant from a great one is how they respond when something isn't right. Antonio turned a small issue into one of the best examples of genuine hospitality and customer service we've experienced. Antonio, thank you for going above and beyond and for making us feel truly valued as guests. You are an outstanding representative of 131 MAIN, and we will absolutely be back!

The only issue, and I could have asked for more, was they should bring a small side of dressing when they bring the salads out. Regardless the salad was yummy! The prices were steep but not any more than you would expect to pay in an upscale restaurant, $23. And, what I appreciated was they DO NOT INCLUDE AN AUTO GRATUITY! YAY!!! Overall the experience was outstanding; environment was beautiful, service was good, food was delicious. We will be back, many times I'm sure!

Even though I felt a little guilty arriving close to closing and staying a bit past 9 to finish, the staff never made me feel rushed. If I hadn't felt bad about the timing, I absolutely would have ordered dessert -- and probably an espresso martini to top it off. Now I know for next time I'm back on the West Coast. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with a classy, upscale feel -- even though I showed up looking like I had just survived a road trip (because I had). There's only so much glamour you can maintain after three hours in the car. I highly recommend coming here for dinner and then walking around the shopping area afterward. It's exactly my kind of shopping destination -- you truly have everything you could think of in one place. I just wish we had something like this closer to home.

Very nice ambiance, more quiet than most. I was there for lunch and had fish soup...not quite…read morebouilabaisse but very tasty...and at less than $10 bucks, a great lunch. Service was attentive and the place was not very busy I will be back to try the octopus...a real test!
