This coffee shop with bright blue color theme is quite easy to spot on the Main Street by Waikiki beach. Came over for a quick breakfast first day in the area, it could get a bit crowded in the morning so I end up left then came back next day super early. They make quite good coffee using Kona coffee beans which is supposed to be one of the most expensive coffee beans. Although I wish the bean is light roast instead of medium/ dark roast. Also tried their croissant which was quite crispy and creamy. read more

Kai coffee is one of my favorite coffee places in Honolulu. Love their kai latte. We went here multiple times while on vacation. You can buy whole beans coffee and they will grind it for you. They have several selections to choose from. read more

Their signature Kai Latte (6$) is pretty good. It was smooth and flavorful. 6$ for a medium is a bit overpriced but it is Waikiki. I also had their blueberry scones (6$) and that was also pretty good. I would get it again though because it wasn't worth it. I love how the location is right in front of Waikiki beach. You can just relax right, feel the breeze and look at all the tourist while drinking coffee. That's true paradise. The staff is nice and the drinks are made quick. I would come again when I feel like paying 6$ for a coffee. read more

This is a really cute and clean coffee shop just steps from Waikiki beach. My husband and I ordered iced mochas and they had to have been the best ones we've tried on the island so far. Great non-dairy options but with a higher than normal up-charge ($0.80, hence the 4/5 stars) Known for their made to order crepes with multiple unique fillers that are cooked and assembled in the kitchen window. I had the iced Kai latte and breakfast wrap with meat. It was really good! I got it to go and sat on the beach. The staff was nice, for the most part. Just those two things ended up being $20 which is expensive to me, but I ended up saving half for lunch; definitely not an every day thing but it was yummy and filling. The lineup was huge at around 7:30 in the morning. I tried the caprese sandwich and it was so fresh and yummy.

We tried this cute corner coffee shop while visiting Oahu last month. One of the workers recommended the macadamia nut latte, it didn't disappoint one bit! The matcha was also a hit. Of course the prices are high, but so is everything else in Hawaii! read more

Hard pass! Coffee and teas are mediocre. Food is absolutely garbage, $10 for a sandwich with zero substance. The breakfast sandwiches had no egg! Pricing isn't labeled on any food, therefore everything is a surprise. Starbucks down the street is a better choice! read more

Right on the touristy strip that is Waikiki beach, you'll find this cafe with the best lattes - with macadamia milk! Try their "signature" latte, and get it iced if it's hot outside (or even if it's cold, if that's your thing). The barista/owner was super friendly and helpful when I had 21 questions. There are three Kai Coffee locations in Waikiki. This review is for the Kai coffee inside Alohilani Resort (lobby). We had the cold brewed coffee and iced chai tea. The lounge area is spacious with beautiful furniture and aquarium. There were very few people so it was very relaxing and peaceful (at 11am). read more

I am always looking for a place to get a cup of coffee. There is always Starbucks but you frequent one, you frequent them all. I learned of this place when I first went to the Hyatt Regency location just a few blocks Ewa on Kalakaua Avenue. Most of the staff from the Hyatt location work occasionally at this location, the Alohilani Resort. This spot is direct across from world-famous Waikiki Beach and when you walk out with your order, you are looking straight across the street at palm trees, sand, and blue ocean. It doesn't get much more relaxing than that. Most of the time I get the house coffee, which I learned to order at different coffee shops as this could be what separates each shop. This place house coffee has a taste all it's own. Not overly bitter and not too mild. Definitely good for the occasions when you need an extra push. The sandwiches are very good and will fill you up for lunch or a late breakfast. The staff is very friendly and I have had the chance to interact with them many times. I have also watched them as the help the tourists with their orders and it doesn't matter if the tourist is English or non-English speaking. Very patient and calming. Always sending customers off with a smile. Now that they are back open after this covid 19 crisis, I hope they can recover because they were closed for a few weeks and recovery will be slow. The coffee was surprisingly great here. The line is very long even at very early in the morning. I realized that coffee shops are not in every corner so I ended up coming here a lot while I was in town. Wasn't a huge fan of their scones though which were a bit dry but at least they're huge so it will fill you up. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. read more

We just went today for the second time and I can't say enough about the açaí bowl here, but even more so the incredible human beings running the operation. We were greeted with the warmest eyes (since we couldn't see his smile with his mask on) as we entered. We got four açaí bowls, all custom ordered, and Tony took the time to talk me through all the different toppings. There are just some people whose energy is so refreshing and bright. Tony was just that from start to finish. Their açaí bowls are not too sweet like most other ones we've tried (and we have tried quite a few in our day). Their coffee is very good as well. The matcha was fine. This is for the service. I was there at opening along with another gentleman. That gentleman may have been homeless but may not have been. He was nice, courteous. We held a conversation. The person who came out to open the doors wouldn't even acknowledge this man. The man said good morning, - nothing. The employee was having trouble with the sliding door. The man asked if he needed some help - no response. The man came in ordered his drink, his card didn't work so I paid for his items. Then my latte was made before his tea, which he had clearly ordered first. The whole experience just left me with a bad taste. Treat people the way you want to be treated, always.
