It was so good that the zucchini chips were dipped into it long after their own accompaniment was gone. The lamb neck was rich and comforting, wrapped in zucchini pita with sunflower yogurt and mint jam, a dish that felt hearty without being heavy. The Spanish mackerel was good, clean, and well executed, though it played more like a well-prepared white fish than a dish meant to steal attention. It was not a miss, just outshined by plates that took bigger swings. The cuttlefish, served over kritharoto with manouri, squid essence, and preserved Meyer lemon, arrived later in the meal and quietly impressed. Deeply flavorful and complex, it might have rivaled the octopus for top billing had it come earlier. Even as leftovers the next day, it held its own, which says a lot. The decor was intentionally minimalistic and pretty, but there are many more engaging aesthetics in the area. The service was excellent with friendly, attentive staff and both drinks and food coming out quickly. But considering the pricing, the food was just good not great. Octopus was probably the best dish I tried. It had a char but was not overcooked and very tender. The raw tuna was a quite generous size but I was disappointed by how little flavor it had. Spanakopita was very good. Drinks tasted good and were unique but were half pours or filled with ice so you get very little value for the cost. I love how they had an open kitchen and love the aesthetic decor that they have! They definitely set the mood for a good date night! For food we got the grilled whole fish which is definitely a must get when you're here! It was so flavorful and the fish was so tender! One thing I did not love was that the tables are shared with other guests - which I am not a fan of for a luxury restaurant but it is a small space. The pricing is definitely on pricey side- most small plates were $20 plus and the fish entrees were $90 dollars plus. We ordered about 4 small plates and two starters and split the lobster pasta for the bill to be around $230 dollars with us only getting 3 cocktails total. The drinks were insanely good though and the food was very good. The overall experience was unique and the server was spectacular. I made a reservation for one during opening weekend. Upon arrival I was welcomed at the door by a greeter who opened the door for me. The hostess were cute, bubbly and immediately acknowledged my reservation seating me promptly. Overall, the atmosphere for me was a 10/10. I was welcomed with water at the table and then my waiter immediately greeted me advising of the various various venue items, including his favorites which was appreciated. I decided to keep things light as it was just me and went with the smoked carrots and feta dip. I never thought smoke carrots could taste so good and the dip to compliment was absolutely delicious! The wine selection was overwhelming so I went with a suggestion by my waitress which did not disappoint. I really wish I could remember what it was cuz it was delicious. I ended with the peach and pepper cocktail which is reminiscent of an old fashioned which is my typical go-to drink. Oustanding experience from start to finish! Began with a warm welcome from the hostess even though we didn't have reservations. We were seated at the lovely bar with great views of the upscale space. We started with two small plates: the Crab Claw, perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and heat, and the Oyster, bright and briny with a subtle herbaceous kick. The freshness of the ingredients stood out, and the plating was clean and elegant. Alex, our bartender, expertly recommended a crisp white for me, which paired seamlessly with the seafood. The positives: Beautiful decor. Excellent service and food. The negatives: We had an early reservation and there were only a few customers at the bar, the restaurant was empty. They seated us at the worst table, near the bathroom. When we asked to be moved, they had to check because they had "reservations." They did move us finally but that was not good. The big thing is it is tremendously overpriced. Our dinner for 2 was $450 and we did not order big. It is impossible to not spend a lot of money here. $22 for bread!!! Yes it had a caviar butter but not worth it. The cheapest wine was $75 and next one up was in the $100's. We live in the neighborhood and often dine locally.
