I've had this place with takeout on the apps and have also gone inside. There are a lot of Ramen locations in the area, and this is probably my favorite due to the freshness of the food, the packaging of the delivery and the quick service. It is in a food court in a grocery store so if you were looking for a luxury meal, this is not for you however, the spicy Ramen is 10 out of 10. I can't speak to their sushi because I have never tried it, but I probably ordered from this place at least once a month probably more in the cold months. read more

I ordered from DoorDash and wow! I ordered the Torched Nigiri plate because of the great reviews and I'm glad I did! This was probably the best sushi I have tried in a long time. There was a variety of nigiri to choose from and the fish tasted fresh, buttery with a slightly smoky flavor. $29 for 16 pieces I think is quite reasonable for the high quality. We were craving some ramen on a cold Sunday for lunch and happened to find Kakkoii nearby with a decent rating here on Yelp, so we gave this a shot. This sushi and ramen shop is inside the 99 Asian Supermarket which is super convenient if you ask me. We ordered NS7- Hell Ramen 地狱拉面 ($13.00+) This is super spicy just what we needed on a cold day! It consists of Japanese ramen in house special hot red broth, topped with house made Cha-Shu pork, marinated soft egg, fish cake, seaweed, corn, cabbage, and bean sprouts. We also ordered SP12- Snow Mountain Maki (8 Pieces) 雪山卷 ($12.95) It was pretty basic and we knew we couldn't go wrong with it. The Snow Mountain consisted of shrimp tempura maki topped with special crab meat salad and tobiko, with yuzu mayonnaise. The Hell Ramen was surprisingly pretty good for a cafeteria/food court style shop. The broth and the toppings were separated without us having to ask which was nice. That way when we got home we boiled the broth to our own linking and mixed everything together. The broth itself was really flavorful, but super spicy which was exactly what we needed and wanted. We also ordered a snow mountain sushi roll, which we thought was okay but not bad for a cafeteria like shop. The fried shrimp inside the sushi was actually pretty big which was a huge plus. They weren't stingy with their portions. We were quoted to wait 10-15 minutes so we decided to walk around 99 Asian Market for some time and picked up what we needed. Once we were done, our order was already ready for us. Customer Service: the lady who took our order was super nice and friendly. She was super patient with us while we were exploring the menu since it was our first time here. She came back multiple times to check up on us and gave us the time we needed without being pushy and antsy to take our order. Also, they are running a couple specials! Not the best ramen, but it definitely hits the spot and satisfies the ramen urge. I like to get the special that includes a bowl of ramen and a sushi roll for $14. I normally get the spicy ramen and the shrimp tempura. Like I said before, it's not the BEST, but it's good enough. There are also a few other places to get food in the little food court, and I like the fact that it's in the supermarket because - why not. Without a doubt, the worst ramen (NS1. Heaven Ramen) I've ever had at any restaurant. The Cha-Shu pork was so overcooked and tough it was actually difficult to chew. Something had clearly been burned (I'm not sure what), and that burnt flavor seeped into the otherwise flavorless broth. The entire thing was essentially inedible. The R9. Beef Don, while edible, was some of the blandest food I've ever eaten. The A5. Gyoza were essentially what you get at a bad American-Chinese take-out place when you order their 'dumplings'. I'm a sesame lover so the flavor and sesame seeds sprinkled on top of the octopus was perfect. The ramen was packed perfectly. All the noodles, meats, veggies were in a covered, deep microwaveable bowl and the broth in a separate covered container so I really just had to reheat the broth and pour it over the other stuff in the bowl. Its located in a food court so theres plenty of seating space and plenty of parking in front of the super market. I got the Spicy Ramen Combo with a Shrimp Tempura Maki. The service was quick and the food came out promptly. Unfortunately, the ramen was not spicy at all. The soup itself was a bit thin, and very garlicky, with a touch of sweetness. It was topped with corn, bean sprouts and a gooey egg, as well as pork chasu. The bean sprouts added a bit of crunch and texture change to the ramen and made it quite satisfying. On the plus side, the shrimp tempura roll was tasty. The price is great though! 13.95 for a good roll and good ramen offers a great value and merits an extra star. However, the original price for the ramen soup bowl alone was $12 something, even though they had lowered the price down to $10, but it's still expensive for such a small bowl which is not enough to fill up my belly. Pretty pathetic show as far a delivery goes. At this point they've messed up on a few separate occasions: one time they gave me octopus instead of scallop, another they used an entire salad worth of garnish to bulk out my chirashi and my last order of the cooked sushi special was so poorly rolled, the fish wasn't even sticking to the rice. I was really excited when I found this place on yelp, I thought this could be my new go-to ramen place since it's so near where I live. Boy was I wrong! Kakkoii sushi and ramen is in the little food court area inside the 99 Asian supermarket. The husband and I both decided to get combos (ramen + a side) as they were definitely better deals. If you get the combo, you only get a choice between Heaven ramen or spicy ramen. The ramen was terrible, I could not bring myself to eat more than a few bites. I had to go buy another dinner from the mala store next door. Firstly, the noodles were overcooked, mushy noodles is never a good thing. The whole ramen was just really bland, the broth was lacking flavor and salt. Once you eat the sides, the ramen is tasteless. It is very odd that cabbage was a topping in the ramen, and the cabbage was extremely garlicky! The only okay thing in the ramen was the egg, it was cooked just right. The sides however were pretty decent, the popcorn chicken and takoyaki was very flavorful compared to the ramen. The tokoyaki was a lot of sauce and mayo drenched on deep fried batter balls, it's hard to go wrong with deep fried foods. Our friend got the sushi burrito and that seemed to look good too. Some words to the wise: this is the real deal, as in, if you have only had instant stuff, prepare for culture shock. This was made for Japanese people by Japanese people.
