Came here for a quick and tasty lunch. We started with the fried calamari. It was delicious! Highly recommend if you are looking for an appetizer. We had the pepper chicken and general tso chicken. Both were delicious and just the right portion for a lunch meal. Service was prompt and flawless. The ambiance of the place is super cool. Interesting new place we ventured to on a Tuesday. Definitely some decent food, but also things that turned us off sadly. Let's get into it! The food was decent overall. We ordered three sushi rolls, the fried calamari, and the Peking duck. The sushi tasted good but wasn't super fresh, and the duck was unfortunately extremely dry. They only gave us four pancakes even though there were five of us, which was a bit inconvenient. It would've been better if they considered adding another pancake or asking us if we needed another set. The pancakes were also really big and thick, which is odd for a duck pancake as it kind of overpowered the duck instead of complementing it. They placed our table in the back right next to the bathrooms even with an open dining room, and the service was sadly extremely slow. We had to wave down a waiter quite often as they wouldn't be walking around there. We hope to maybe return during a jazz night where there might be better food/service, but unfortunately don't recommend on a weekday. read more

I purposely went out of my way on Saturday to have dinner here with my family. We were kind of in the area, but I definitely diverted from I-93. I went here years back so I wanted to see if they still had it. Street parking is the best bet and you could get lucky like we did with a spot on the same street. If you don't mind a walk there seemed to be plenty of open meters on Main Street. We arrived at 6pm and it was busy but still plenty of tables. The decor was cute and our waiter was so attentive. The food came out hot, quick, and everything was delicious. We ordered the sampler, pork lo mein, general gao's chicken, an order of the crab Rangoon, and crispy chicken wings. My kids loved everything too, which was a major win. Everything had flavor and both the wings and general gao's chicken were crispy, despite it having sauce. The crab rangoon was crispy and full of crab inside so that was a huge plus. The food was so good that I'd do it all again. I truly cannot wait to go back! read more

This place will always have a special place in my heart! I remember when this first opened, and it was the start of Malden being a food hub in the north shore. ehhhh. this place used to be great, not so much anymore. ordered a bunch of stuff. the salt and pepper soft shell crab was tasty, just wish the peppers and stuff were on the actual seafood instead of under it. it could have definitely used more crab considering it was almost 30$ for the app. the crispy duck was dry dry dry-extremely overcooked. the wraps it comes with were dry as well- not impressed at all. the general gau chicken was good actually i liked the flavor and the little bit of kick it had. although, very salty and i woke up the next day feeling like i was hungover (from all the salt and msg). the sushi roll was fine, can't really mess up a basic roll. the miso soup and edamame were fine too, hard to mess it up! the service was good, our waitress was soo nice! i just wish they would be more reasonable with the prices to reflect on the portions and the quality of the food, as the portions were lacking & the quality of some of things we ordered were not amazing or worth the price. read more

The sushi here is superb. We had the Scallop Rock & Roll specialty to start along with the Sea to You - both were delicious. I liked the Scallop one best because it is topped with melted cheese. The waitress recommended the Torched Salmon Maki and we had to try it after the first two rolls exceeded our expectations and I am glad we did. The Torched Salmon was warm and filled with flavor. I would go back and order all of the same rolls again. The staff is attentive and they all work together to provide the best service. We did not get any cocktails but the restaurant does appear to have a full bar. There is plenty of seating and this place is located in the popular part of Medford among other great restaurants. The Pad Thai was really dry and the noodles were overcooked. There was more tofu than the chicken and shrimp put together. The servers were rude and did not keep our drinks topped off. This is by far the worst service I have had being new to the town of Malden. I had high hopes because the ambiance was nice although there was a smell of cleaning products which I was willing to overlook because it looked nice. Unfortunately no cleaning product can clean the nasty behavior that was given to me. Father's Day Visit - Great Food, Slow Service Arrived around 1:30 PM on Father's Day without a reservation. We found parking easily around the corner at a meter (free on Sundays), and walked in to be promptly greeted by the host, who welcomed us warmly and sat us immediately. The restaurant was only half full, which surprised us a bit given the occasion -- we expected a rush that never really came. We were seated at a comfortable booth with a white tablecloth, and water was poured right away. Our waitress greeted us and took our drink orders: a Tipsy Flamingo for her and a Zombie for me. While waiting for our drinks, we ordered the Sushi Deluxe appetizer. The drinks arrived after the appetizer had already hit the table -- about 20 minutes after ordering -- and to make matters worse, my drink was incorrect. I received a Scorpion Bowl instead of a Zombie, and while I mentioned it, the issue was never corrected or taken off the bill. Entrees took over 30 minutes to arrive after we placed our order. By that time, we were trying to stay positive and enjoy the experience, but the sluggish service made it difficult. Thankfully, the food was excellent -- the highlight of the visit. However, due to the delays and lack of attention, we decided to skip dessert and tea and asked for the check instead. As we were leaving, the same host who welcomed us was near the door, and I mentioned that the food was great and we'd return again. I noticed that there was plenty of seating in the back and got up outta that doorway. This was a dimly lit, relaxed vibe with plenty of space. I came to this restaurant with my family and my service dog, and it turned into one of the most disappointing and frustrating dining experiences I've ever had in Malden. Upon arrival, we were denied entry because of my service dog--an action that clearly violates both federal and state laws. We spoke with the host, the general manager, and finally Jackie, the supervisor. They repeatedly demanded proof of certification for my service dog, which is not only unnecessary but illegal under the ADA. Despite calmly explaining my rights, we were met with resistance, a lack of understanding, and no willingness to correct their approach. After about 40 minutes of waiting and trying to resolve the situation, Jackie informed us--rudely--that she would make a "one-time exception" and allow us to dine there. At that point, we were exhausted and chose to take our business elsewhere. No one with a service animal should be made to feel unwelcome or be forced to defend their rights in this way. This is my fave spot for lunch these days. I've tried several dishes here and all of them are a hit. Every time. My last meal there was the shrimp and scallops and fried rice with crab rangoons on the side (lunch portion). For $16 + tax, it's a pretty good deal. Also, a real plus is that they will have your meal to you in under 15 minutes. They know the lunch crowd well. For a sit-down establishment at lunch, hour that's pretty extraordinary. Their kitchen apps are perfectly cooked, my favorite being their pre sliced spring rolls that are delicate to the touch but crispy to the bite. The sushi is made fresh by hand at their rolling station to watch, making your meal as delicious as it is entertaining. We walked in, and the only Asian people were the servers, so I shouldn't have been surprised. But my friend said that the food was decent the last time he came, so I had hopes. The portion of the noodle ($15) and shrimp ($21) were smaller than I expected for the price. I can't speak to the authenticity of the noodles, but I've eaten a lot of salt and pepper items at numerous restaurants (it's my go-to) and this one was too salty and tasted off. The manager (?) came up to us after and asked why we didn't order any Chinese dishes, since we were all Asian. He told us that before covid, they had a much more extensive menu, and to ask for things not on the menu because it's still in the system.
