Sometimes you know just walking in, it's not going to be a good experience. We have been to this Denny's many times, but this time might be the last. Two waitresses, one who was yelling at the chef and got everyone's attention. Not good. We did not see the other one for about 5 minutes (maybe on break?) A man behind us, solo, had been there way before us and had not even got a menu. When he did the waitress just chucked it on the table on her way by and kept going. Many other people waiting on their checks or food. That was it for us and we left. Real shame they can't enough waitresses, if that is the case or a better manager which it appears they need. Where was he or she to help out? Who knows? We've crossed off this Denny's for now as there are a lot of other restaurants around to spend your hard earned money in. Very disappointing. read more

I ordered two Thanksgiving Day Plate specials for a family member who couldn't afford a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. When the meals were delivered, each order contained only one slice of turkey with gravy on top of French fries and onion rings. I called to speak with a manager--his name was Steve--to explain the issue. Instead of listening, he repeatedly and rudely told me I was "ignorant" and insisted I received exactly what I ordered. I explained multiple times that the only food included was a slice of turkey with gravy over fries and onion rings--items I didn't even want but were listed as mandatory add-ons. Steve, acting as though he knew more than the customer, continued calling me ignorant, then dropped an "F-bomb" and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with the hostess, who initially seemed willing to talk but quickly became just as dismissive. She mocked me for "making a big deal" about not receiving what I ordered, accused me of not listening, and repeatedly interrupted me when I attempted to explain. She then refused to offer a proper resolution--no refund and no replacement order--only a partial refund or the option to drive back and pick up the rest of the food. The pictures clearly show the meal should have included mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, broccoli, stuffing/dressing, and garlic bread. I told her I would not accept those terms and would contact the corporate office and my credit card company. She replied, "Do what you have to do," and hung up on me as well. Honestly, the rudest experience I have ever encountered in the customer service field. Acting like I should be grateful for spending $60 dollars for two pieces of Turkey, dab of gravy, fries, and onion rings? I ordered a lasagna and some eggs. I waited for 1 hour and 32 minutes for my food. When I kept asking the waiters where my food was, they kept coming up with excuses. Eventually when it did come, the lasagna arrived burned to a black color and cold as a rock with weird pieces of what looked like hair in my food. The eggs were as well cold as ice and since after waiting for 1:32 minutes I'd expect it to be nice and warm, it was complete sh*t. I did not eat anything during my so called "lunch" here. It's Denny's, so it's pretty much what you expect, I think. It's the standard diner fare, but I was a little disappointed with being up-charged for a side of bacon. I ordered an omelet with bacon and cheese, plus a side of bacon (I really like bacon). My omelet was supposed to come with potatoes and toast, but I'm on keto, so I asked the server to leave them off my plate. In that case, you might have thought a side of bacon would have counted as a substitute. You'd have thought wrong. It's not that I minded paying (okay, I kind of minded paying for it), but I would like to have been told ahead of time that I would be charged for the bacon. And if I'd known, I probably would not have ordered the extra bacon. Cuz three bucks for 4 slices of bacon? That's a lot to add to a breakfast bill. The food was okay. The service was good. It was a snowy, icy day, and there was an employee out in that nasty weather spreading salt on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. (Way to go, Dude, for taking one for the team!) I was a bit disappointed with how quickly I felt rushed out the door as I was paying, though. When I handed the employee my check and pulled out my debit card, I asked her if they still had a points program. She said they no longer had the app with the points​ but had another program. She didn't ask if I was a member or if I wanted to sign up. She spoke quickly and didn't really give me an opportunity to ask about it either. Wow. Some of these reviews are really rough. To me, Denny's is always on the mark with simple American fare. You can always depend on Denny's to get a good meal. Their $2, $4, $6 $8 menu offers a lot of options and I chose the hamburger from the $6 list. Their burgers are the best bar none! Always cooked to perfection, which for me is no pink in the middle. The fries were hot and the amount of food on the plate for the $6 price tag was more than generous. I also ordered some orange herbal tea that was delicious! The waitress Eva was so accommodating and attentive. She stopped by several times to see if everything was good. She said she made sure the hamburger was cooked completely before bringing it over to my table. I appreciated her friendly personality and attention to detail. Overall, it was above my expectations as far as cleanliness, comfort, and timely service. Highly recommend!! read more

Out of all the other Dennys locations closest to me, I'll always choose this location over the other ones. This location is newly renovated, it's bright and clean. Staff are welcoming and personable. Came here on a Sunday morning, it was in the middle of a snow advisory so it was only about 5 customers in there when I went. I'm sure if it wasn't the circumstances, it would have been busier. I ended up having the 'All you can eat Pancakes', which I ended up not even finishing my first stack, and the second stack I ordered, I took home. I also ordered one of their skillets. I don't remember the name but it had chopped up sausage links, mushrooms, bell pepper, potatoes, onions and cherry tomatoes - topped with cheddar cheese and two eggs, I got mine over easy. It was very good and I destroyed it. Could have licked the skillet. This is my favorite location, and I will be back. read more

Did you know there is a Blondie song called "Dennys, Dennys"? Look it up. She sings in French but it's definitely about this chain restaurant. I admit, I used to come here, but not because I like the food. I can't stand the food at Denny's, I think it's the worst breakfast food imaginable. I'm not into breakfast food anyway, but this is so generic and bland... it's as bad as IHOP, and Cracker Barrel/Waffle House are definitely much better breakfast chains. It is maybe a step above Tim Hortons & McDonalds breakfast sandwiches but not far. Delta Sonic makes better breakfast food. Anyway the reason I would come here would be the drinks... I loved the tropical non-alcoholic cocktails. Until a few months ago, I'd come fairly regularly for them, and then like a bad dream, one day I drove all the way up here to find that they had been taken off the menu. Boo. One egg had the yoke broke so that defeated any runny yoke and the other egg was over well rather than easy. The edges of the eggs were burnt. The toast was hard and crisp all the way through it. The butter was scarce, it was like eating a stale cracker. The has browns wrre over cooked but at least partially editable. The waitress was friendly, but i went there to eat, not make friends. They $2 $4 $6 $8 menu is so helpful and the options to choose from are so delicious. You can get 2 buttermilk pancakes, eggs and bacon (or sausage) for $4. I would recommend ordering the French toast, it was soft in the middle and nice and coated on the outside. Everything that you should look for in a good piece of french toast. Overall the staff was great, our waiter kept checking up on us and kept telling us if we needed something to just ask. The cleanliness of the restaurant was good. Mediocrity is the recipe of the day here. We were here during a slower part of the day at 10am and they were not busy. Yet the speed of delivery of order was slow, and just as our last visit, the food order left much to be desired. We had both ordered pancakes, and while one order was good, the other was burnt. This was the same experience as our last visit. One order was hash brown's and the other was sourdough toast. Both orders arrived with hash browns, no toast.. No waitress came back to check on our meal, until they brought the check. We asked for the sourdough toast to go. it was brought in a to go container, but it was regular toast not sourdough. So while the menu may say hashbrowns or toast, plan on hashbrowns. It may say fluffy pancakes, but you will get them well done, burnt and crispy. And if you value service, know that they will not value you. I usually like to give the benefit of the doubt which is why I hesitate to consider sharing a review until a second visit. After 2 disappointing visits, I'd recommend any other palce for breakfast first. read more

24 hour 7 days a week. Drink refills. Only game in town in the very early weekday mornings. Yea its a chain. You been to one ... you've seen them all. This branch has been recently renovated. Specials, especially after hours are of great value. No matter what, expect to pay at least $10 to get back out. They have you over the proverbial barrel and they know it. However it is good food and usually a good portion that won't leave you wanting more a few hours later. The Grand Slam breakfast is my standard with all bacon. The sausage gives me heart burn. I get hungry working overtime and on night shift it's my only restaurant option. On occasion (SuperBowl) they have special promotions you can't ignore. FREE has that effect on me. This visit started off good, as my wife and I were seated quickly. It was 2 am when we arrived and noticed there was only one server. He was polite, and seemed frazzled (it was busy for 2 am). The food was what I'd have expected from a chain diner, it was decent. I got the Sriracha Burger, and did expect the burger to be much spicier. By the time my wife and I had finished we were the only ones left in the restaurant. We saw that every table that had someone at it previously has yet to be cleaned off. Almost every table was a mess. This is the real reason for a 2 star review. Firstly the restaurant needed to have more wait staff, as it is not uncommon to see a nearly full restaurant that late at night, as it is the only 24 hour place in lockport.
