Server: Edilia was friendly, helpful in choosing our food. Our food was brought out immediately when it was ready. She kept an eye on our table to make sure we had everything we needed. She really made our experience memorable. We received excellence service and would definitely come back over and over again. That was the best Mexican food I've ever had. We've been here for brunch many times and usually enjoy it. This visit was different. The mimosas were no longer bottomless, which we understood since the brunch price was lower. What caught us off guard was being charged $35 for a bottle of champagne. The price wasn't listed or explained ahead of time, and that felt excessive compared to other brunch places in the area where bottles are typically much less. Absolutely not, but considering that the one in Orange has a better parking situation and better service, there's no reason to come back here for us. The decor and theme was beautiful as usual for Kalaveras. We ordered wet burritos, nachos, empanadas, fajitas, and a Molcajete. Zero complaints with the quality of the food! The guys that brought out our plates were super nice and friendly. Our main issue was the fact that service was not as attentive as I would have preferred. We asked multiple times for a specific change in an order and they never brought it out. All we asked for was black beans instead of refried beans. We asked three times and it never came. My hubby and I went to the location in Redondo Beach and tried their food, and we wanted more of their quesbirria tacos (thanks to my bro who recommended this place for these), so, when I found out there's one in Corona, I was stoked! This place has got such a cool vibe! I like the dim lit atmosphere and decor with fun music playing. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and quick to serve. Management came by to check on us too. I can tell this place has their operations well-planned, organized, and streamlined. We got our drinks and food in no time, even though the place was packed! The food and drinks were delicious. We came here mainly for their cheesy and meat-packed birria tacos. Their carnitas taco was so delicious too--we love the distinct smoky flavor it has. The drinks were yummy as well. Went to brunch, used to be good. No more bottomless mimosas which was fine but if you think you're going for anything bottomless including food. You're going to be so dissatisfied. We got there at noon and just about every food tray was empty, had to track down the taco guy in the kitchen. It appeared a complete disaster of management and cutting corners on quality of food and again not much available to eat. Salad bar was embarrassing and scary to even consider eating. Once I found the taco guy they had means to make homemade tortilla's but instead used store bought right out of the package, the carnitas taco meat was good, that was really it besides our server. Nothing about the experience of their brunch was worth mentioning. If you do go, suggest ordering off the menu which is an option. read more
