Check your bank statement if you come eat here. They gave themselves an $18 tip. I made the situation known to the manager named Jerry, and they have still haven't refunded me because he says I have to go in person in order to receive the refund. I don't live near Rancho Cucamonga, so this is an unreasonable request. I was told that I would be issued a refund via Zelle since I am not near Rancho, but so far I have received nothing and now Jerry is even avoiding my calls. Today when I called, he was "in the restroom" and didn't even bother calling back. Made a reservation for 18 for my husband's birthday during their Sunday brunch hours. Everything was seamless. We had no problems and the wait staff was highly attentive. My husband and I agreed that the enchiladas and the tamales were some of the best we had ever had anywhere. I had been once before to the brunch and wanted to take my family back and my husband agreed afterwards he would absolutely go back. Their brunch is definitely my favorite brunch of any place I've ever had brunch at and I've been to all the high-end Inland Empire places. I was hesitant bringing kids because the first time the videos were not family friendly but this time they had sports on the TV's so that was great. My only real critique would be for them to check the restrooms more often because when it's busy they get dirty pretty quick. We will definitely go back again and bring more people with us. Ok I am seriously so happy that I got some friends to go with me to their brunch buffet on Sunday!!!!! This places was packed by the time we were done and I know why. The price and the food they offer is totally worth it. I better go again actually before they decided to increase the price. I was able to give them a flyer that I got from the last visit I had at dinner for a free margarita flight. It was so cute and I was able to share it. I would definitely recommend the flight. I arrived for happy hour at 3:15pm this afternoon and was immediately seated by a hostess. My waiter took my order and brung me some water that was the last time I saw him. Another employee brought out my food and drink. I would rate the asada tacos a 7/10 and the classic margarita a 9/10 it was strong and tasty. As time went by I noticed my Waiter never came back to ask how things were going or if I needed another drink etc. Around 3:56pm I seen the waiter seating a group of customers and stopped him and requested my check. It took him about 10 mins and to return with the bill and I gave him my method of payment. 7 mins later he stops at a table to hand them their debit card I then asked him for my change and he let me know someone else was bringing it to me. Another 10 mins go by and the staff member who was supposed to give me my change gave it to the table in front of me I had to call him over. He then handed me my change after apologizing then walked away. I then looked to see that they shorted me my change. The vibe of the restaurant so nice it was well decorated they had TVs everywhere. Came for their Sunday brunch. The manager on duty (2.22.26) sat us down at our table. Our server never came to our table. The manager came by eventually and that's when we mentioned to him that our server never came by to our table. That's when the manager mentioned who our server was and in that moment we mentioned to him that Hector never came by to offer us napkins, refills on our mimosa. Manager leaves, apologize for the fact that Hector never came by and 15 minutes later the same manager comes by and we mentioned to him again that our server Hector still didn't come to our table. Can park across the street at the car wash parking lot ( we were there Saturday evening and a sign stated we can park for Kalaveras customers) I had the molcajete $45 with no shrimp , Comes with tortillas, beans and rice on the side. The salsa sauce were so good with the meat choice beef, sausage and chicken. Don't expect your beef to cook medium rare , my beef were overly cooked it was so dry and chewy for my taste. Same with the chicken breast it was too dry and firm. Besides it was hard to eat having the food sitting in the mortar, wish they gave me an extra empty plate to slice the meat to manageable bite size pieces. Overall I am pretty satisfied when I go here. Sometimes the service is hit or miss. The Albondigas soup is amazing! Everything is a little more expensive than you'd like but if something isn't up to par just let them know and they will fix it! One time the enchiladas were hard and we let the manager know and they fixed it right away. This place has VERY LOUD MUSIC! They are trying to make it like a night club, during evening they have black lights that light up the whole neon colored decor. I love the margarita flight and the barbacoa tacos! BEWARE - FOOD POISONING!!!! Went into their profiles Rancho Cucamonga location last night for taco Tuesday with a 9. The server (Erick R. was amazing! My granddaughter ordered the chicken wings from the happy hour menu. At about midnight the SEVERE case of food poisoning kicked in. After a long night at the ER, I call today at 11 to speak to a manager. He was busy so they said he would call me back. I even gave details of my grievance. I waited 2 hours and nothing so I called back and Jorge answered and stated he was the manager and sorry he didn't call me back. I provided details and all I got was a so sorry. Brunch at Kalaveras was soooo delicious! Every bite was full of flavor and the vibes were just right for a fun and relaxed weekend meal. Our server was very attentive, especially with keeping our bottomless champagne flowing. Never had to ask for a refill! A friend recommended this place for their drinks and we went to celebrate my birthday. The glow in the dark murals go perfectly with their theme. The music was loud but the variety was good. We tried the guacamole and ceviche for appetizers. The guacamole was missing salt and I don't think the avocados were ripe enough. The ceviche had too much mango and not enough flavor. For the entree, we ordered the Molcajete and it exceeded our expectations. The meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. Our server was nice, she recommended the Jarrito Loko and it was very good. Me and my party had reservations for 7:30 and we got put on a list and were told to wait for the next available table, not that big of a deal until we had to wait almost an hour for a table. We got our food and drinks after another hour of waiting. Me and my fiancée got the shrimp enchiladas and the aguachiles. Shrimp tasted off but not that big of deal because the drinks were great. Until the next morning. Me AND my fiancée have the absolute worst case of food poisoning ever. I am throwing up nonstop, the other person in our party didn't have any shrimp and they feel fine thankfully. I understand it was busy but my lord please prepare your seafood accordingly because now I am absolutely suffering. It's Valentine's Day. We had an 815pm appointment and did not get seated until 845. Ok no problem. We then proceeded to wait an hour and 20 minutes for food that never came. We tried to get help and their only answer was their kitchen is busy. Well if your kitchen can't handle holidays, don't fill every seat and not produce. You ruined an evening. We ended up leaving because the manager never came to talk to us after the waitress said he would speak with us in 5 more minutes. Never came. Very disappointed. Never again Kalaveras. My family brought me here today to celebrate mothers day, it was 3 adults 3 kids under 9 years old. I had checked for prices and said it was $35 per adult and $18 per child so we went and as soon as we got there we were told we were only allowed 80 minutes to eat, we said okay but thought it was weird such a short time but went with it. The food was good and we ate and drank. At exactly the 80 minute mark they told us we had to pay and leave. No joke exactly at 11 am they brought the check and told us we had to leave. I had a full plate in front of me and we were rushed out. We paid and left and when we got to the car we carefully reviewed the receipt because it was sooo high. Turns out that they upped the prices of the buffet to $50 per adult and $25 per child and had added a 18% service fee that came out to $40.50. Basically just because its mothers day they upped their prices and added additional fees and no where and at no point did they ever inform us of all the price increase and the added fees. Honestly this is beyond ridiculous and I feel robbed. We were given barely over an hour to eat and charged way more than usual and on top we were charged an additional fee. What should have been a bill of less than 200 dollars came out to nearly 300 dollars. The world is already sooo costly with groceries and gas prices to then be uncharged and not even beign told about it before hand. I will never be going back and if your struggling financially and just trying to treat yourself for the first time, go somewhere else cuz they robbed us here and then rushed us out the door as quickly as possible. This place is a fun little spot. It has cute decor and a great atmosphere. The super friendly staff, music and lighting add to the experience. If you sit toward the back of the restaurant where the restrooms are located it's super loud bc that's where the music plays. Their food is delicious. I came here for happy hour so I need to come back and try more menu items but the carne asada fries and chicken taquitos were my top two faves.
