I've been to a few Kalaveras locations, and honestly, I'm just not a fan. The food and drinks have never really impressed me, so I usually only go if I'm invited for a special event. This time, it was a family get-together for Sunday brunch. There's plenty of parking in a private lot, which is definitely a plus. We went for the Sunday buffet brunch, which is $29.99 per person, and $44.99 if you add bottomless mimosas. And of course... you know I had to go the brunch and bottomless mimosas route. The brunch setup included an omelette station, chilaquiles station, and taco station. The buffet itself had a mix of traditional breakfast items like French toast, pancakes, and bacon, along with Mexican dishes like tamales, ceviche, and enchiladas... plus a few random non-Mexican items like pasta. I'm personally not a big fan of buffets. They can feel a little sketchy with so many people handling the same utensils, serving themselves, etc. Brunch runs until 3pm, and it seems like that's really what people come for. During brunch hours, the place was packed. But right at 3pm, it completely cleared out. It was pretty much just our party of 15 and a few other people left. Service was decent. Our waitress came by regularly to top off our mimosas, which I appreciated. Overall, it's not really my vibe food-wise, but it worked for a group gathering.

I came for the $1.99 Taco Tuesday deal, and it was pretty good! The size of the tacos is pretty decent and they had a variety of meat and veggie options. I got the asada and birria tacos, and both were really good. They also set up a condiments bar for you to add your own salsa and toppings if you'd like. The only bad thing is that they don't offer complimentary chips and salsa for this deal, which I guess makes sense. When you come on other days or order other entrees, I think they'll give that to you! Plenty of parking in the back too!

I recently visited Kalaveras on Thursday, June 18th, to catch the Mexico vs. Korea game. The atmosphere was electric from the start, with all the TVs tuned in to the game. Our hostess was kind and checked in on my reservation. The food was a mixed bag - the house sauce was a bit bland, but the habanero sauce was delicious, with just the right balance of tanginess and heat. My friend ordered a plate of nachos for the table, which came with chicken that, oddly, didn't taste like chicken. It was almost as if it had been cooked in the same area as the fish, but it was still edible. Our server, Priscilla, was very attentive, checking in frequently and keeping the good beers flowing, even on a busy game night. The carnitas were good, but we'll try something else next time. The atmosphere was great, and Mexico's win was a bonus - we might be back to catch another game.

When it comes to Mexican food, I can be a tough critic. Luckily Kalaveras did not disappoint! I came here with my family while visiting and was surprised by the presentation of food upon serving. Not only was the food prepared fast, but the presentation was beautiful! I wasn't that hungry, so I ordered the potato taquitos. They were perfectly fried and topped with all the fixings. I also had the Guavarita, which was perfectly made and refreshing. I sampled the mole enchiladas that my cousin ordered and loved the taste! The sauce was rich and had a little kick to it. My son enjoyed his seafood enchiladas and the side of rice and beans. The Mexican rice was perfectly cooked and delicious. Customer service here was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The ambiance is pretty spacious inside and a nice place for larger parties. The exterior has some cool looking skull statues displayed at the entrance. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and the food was excellent.

Food was delicious! Service was okay could have been better by being more attentive- what I loved about this location is that they live music in the night.I believe towards the weekend!

Stopped by for Taco Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised by the deals. $1.99 tacos and happy hour every evening is hard to beat. We grabbed a few tacos and loved the taco bar with a solid selection of salsas and veggies to customize everything. We also ordered a couple margaritas--definitely good for the happy hour price. It's an older, more established spot, but if you're looking for affordable tacos, decent drinks, and good value, this place delivers.

It was a great experience as always. Service is kind and attentive. The mocktails are so good and it always gives vibes. The food is good. They have a grand menu but not too big that making a decision would be difficult. I highly suggest the pasta la diabla so good. Tuesdays is a dollar tacos and some days they have a band playing. Go check them out.

First time here for Sunday brunch and was very impressed. It was not crazy packed, and they have a good variety of food to choose from. A decent selection such as a taco station where they have tacos and a station to make your omelets, chilaquiles and more! They have great music playing, it was very loud, so you do have to speak louder to speak with your guests as the speakers are right above you. Service was great as they check your refills. They offer agua Fresca in the brunch as well, which were delicious.

Pretty cool spot, ambience is very nice, service was awesome, food was delicious, drinks were good. Lots of specials during the week so keep an eye out Will definitely be back and highly recommended!

Kalaveras (Rancho Cucamonga) is one of our favorite restaurants for spending time together on Saturday afternoons. We have not been disappointed with their menu. We ordered the dragon roll and molcajete with a Cadillac Margarita and an Ultra. Our server, Anthony, brought our order to us hot (temperature), and they do offer a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We like our food spicy, and although everyone usually gets it mild, they always accommodate us with spicy habanero. The staff are always attentive and do their best to provide excellent service, even when it is crowded. Our waiter was Anthony, and he always greeted us with a friendly smile and attended to our every need. Even when we haven't been around for a while, he treats us like we were there the day before. The restaurant is kept clean, and although some of the furniture needs refurbishment, it is still comfortable.

How much for Sunday brunch?

$39.99 per adult before taxes or $18 for children

How much is the bottomless mimosas? And is the brunch buffet good?

Brunch buffet is amazing, with bottomless mimosas included with the meal along with homemade agua frescas, coffee, and fountain drinks for $39.99 every Sunday morning. Saturday morning bottomless mimosas are offered for $20

Do they play football on tv on sundays?

How much is the Sunday brunch buffet?

$45.00 regardless of age. Not worth it.

What's the price for your Sunday buffet and the serving hours? Thanks.

Sunday buffet brunch as of 11/27/2024 is served from 10am-3pm for $39.99 per adult before taxes.

Can you order off the full menu during brunch hours?

do they have bottomless mimosas?

Do you need to make reservations?

No. It's a pretty open and fast service restaurant. You will have a great time, no matter who your with.

Is there dancing available?

I don't believe so. It's just a regular restaurant. No place to dance.

Is this place family/kid friendly during the day?

Not at all.

Is there a happy hour menu?

Yes they have happy hour from 3pm-7pm Monday-Friday.

Is qusabirra tacos good?

They are amazing!! So flavorful and tender!!

Is this a kid friendly place?

The music is obnoxiously loud like you're in a club. They play Latin artist music videos from YouTube on the TV's, so some videos are inappropriate for younger age groups in my opinion.

Does it take reservations?

They do but you can just walk in as well! I've never had to wait. Always been seated right away

Is there dancing?

No there is not.

They have patio seating?

No didn’t see any

Are the beans and/or rice suitable for vegans and/or vegetarians?

No, they are cooked with meat broth

Hi there! When does this location open?

They have a soft opening today, 7/5

They have some heat to them!! This is like an Arizona or Mew Mexo themed type speakeasy. I love their decor. With the fireplace and the animal skulls and animal skins everywhere. I just love how it looked. Theres an exit to the outside patio area which is nice, since this place stays open longer than most of the shops in Haven City. Only problem is if theyre playing music outside, every time the door opens it is so loud!! Like annoyingly blow my ear drums loud. Their drinks are very southwest themed. They have a lot of drink options to choose from. We ordered their blue sky and silver cloud. Presentation looked pretty. But the drinks were not that great. I had their silver cloud which had a mango foam on top. Tasted great, till you mixed it into the drink. The drink was way to smokey. It was so smokey it was almost bitter. I get a little smoke. But it was way too much. Any notes of mango or fruit or sweetness was lost in the smoke. The blue sky looked pretty. But after having a sip of the silver cloud it killed my taste buds. I couldn't taste anything in the blue sky. After our first round of drinks we were done. Had to go home and make myself an extremely sweet drink to get my taste buds back..... its a great concept. The price point is reasonable. 16 dollars for each drink. I do love the decor. But the vibes from the outside is distracting. If your into mezcals and smokey drinks this place is for you. But it unfortunately was not my cup of tea.

I actually had to ask another waitress for water. When our waitress came by we reminded her about not getting our drinks yet and she copped an attitude and was like "we were busy, yeah I asked someone else to bring the water". Ok. No need to be rude. Thankfully the food was good, so at least that was enjoyable. Our waitress never came by once to check up on us, as we watched other waitresses be more attentive at other tables. Honestly I've had better service at McDonald's. That's embarrassing for a restaurant like The Cut where food prices are not cheap. I'm sure it was just this one individual that was performing poorly, but it left us with a bad experience where we simply don't want to come back, and take our business elsewhere.

However, the tiki décor is great with plenty of bamboo, carved tiki figures, hanging puffer fish, tiki style signs, and many tropical accents. There are overhead fans spaced around in case it is hot outside. We had one round of drinks and several appetizers. The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5
