Just tried this spot last night. I don't know if it's new or if I've just never noticed it. The store was completely empty, except for one polite woman working behind the counter. The store was very clean and tidy: always a good sign. I ordered one Strawberry shaved-ice (not on the menu, you have to ask; ~$10) and an "iced honeycomb latte" (~$5). First, the "honeycomb latte." If, like me, you naively assume this is going to be a "honey" flavored drink, you're wrong. I believe "honey" is in reference to the "burnt honeycomb" candy topping on/in the drink. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. The candy topping was delicious, so much so that it's the first thing I ate! The latte was smooth and creamy. Not too sweet, very creamy. Absolutely FULL of caffeine. Similar to Vietnamese coffee or Thai tea. I'd suggest this drink if you want something in that vein. Second, the strawberry shaved-ice. Wow! Super, super good. It's pretty much shaved, frozen-milk (too creamy to be water, so assume it's a water-milk mix or something). This is topped with a REAL strawberry puree. There are bits of strawberry throughout. Tastes like home-made strawberry purée with lemon. Delicious. Then, the whole thing is topped in sweetened, condensed milk! As for size, it's definitely big enough for two people! Overall, very satisfied with my purchase. A bit on the pricey side, but the ingredients are quality and the stuff here seems pretty authentic! read more

Kamurocho is a cute little cafe shop! My friends and I came here after a long day at Livermore outlets. Kamurocho is a little ,hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop kind of shop, and the overall ambience is quite lovely. The strawberry matcha latte is a sweet treat with lots and lots of strawberry bits. If you are a strawberry lover, you will definitely love this drink! The sweetness of the strawberry marmalade compliments nicely with the slight bitterness of the matcha. The matcha has a nice earthiness to it. In my opinion, this strawberry matcha latte trumps Boba Guy's version of the drink! The latte is $6 for a large size, and the price is really reasonable for the quality that you get. Also, don't forget to check out Kamurocho's hot drinks! They might surprise you with nice latte art if you visit during hours that are not as busy! My friends had latte art on the hot matcha latte and honeycomb latte. Great spot with great drinks, and the lady working there was so nice that she alone makes me want to come back regularly! (drinks are obviously a bonus too haha) We got the honeycomb latte (as great as everyone says it is) and the roasted matcha rice latte. I really love the roasted flavor of the latter and it's def a more unique drink that's harder to find at other shops. Also the boba was cooked perfectly (I got some from a fresh batch). Hidden gem! Not Elite, but I dine out too often, even during the Pandemic. She is always present and takes TIME & Care into EVERY Drink and Japanese [ I miss my Okinawa shaved ice days...]. Smoother than Hawaiin, I'm Thai, so knowing my Thai Tea preferences, lol. She Cares about each item served, not rapid sbux styled drive thru nor walk up but, She provides styled beautiful drinks! Colorful and organic strawberries, with..rare. woah. Tasty, tasty, tasty...not so much sugar. My hubbie likes the Hot Hojika Tea PLAIN NO Sugar not even the black special rock sugar, no milk Tea for him. Smells so good! But I prefer her Milk Teas, especially the Honeycomb one!! The shaved ice seems to be for 3 adults! Lots to enjoy. We had a nice table outside. Spring Jasmin air du Temps abounds here. Hiding behind BurgerKing drivers. Tiny but fun. I'll be back...7th time as of writing. Either today, now they have snacks out front of counter in sliding upright case! We had a shaved ice craving and stumbled upon this place-- so glad we found it!!! Mango shaved ice- the texture was somewhere in-between shaved ice and shaved snow. The mango syrup was not too sweet and we loved the fresh mango in the middle. The serving size was good for 2 people. Strawberry matcha latte with boba- nice real matcha flavor! The strawberry marmalade is a bit chunkier than I'm used to. Boba was perfect! Hojicha latte with oat milk‐ got this one on an impulse because I've never had it before. This might be my new favorite tea! It's a strong dark toasty flavor, this satisfied my coffee craving. It is similar to matcha how the powder settles at the bottom. I love genmaicha, so this flavor was right up my alley. Would definitely recommend if you haven't tried it before. The storefront is in the middle of quiet plaza with plenty of parking. Second, the price is cheaper than most other places. And, third, the lady who works there provides amazing service and is super nice. New and cozy dessert cafe! In the span of two visits, my friends and I tried 3 out of the 4 kakigori selections (Japanese shaved ice). They were very tasty and just the right amount of sweetness. One kakigori could feed 2-3 people in my opinion. Mango was refreshing, matcha adzuki was pleasantly sweet, and kinako was nutty and flavorful. The owners were super friendly and gave us samples of their drinks to try out! Being so new (opened ~2 weeks ago?), they listen to feedback and make sure you are completely satisfied. My cousins and i were in the area and found this spot! This spot is cute and homey. i must admit coming here in hot weather may not be the best since they do not have a/c but the desserts and drinks r great!!! Boba was soft and it was the perfect sweetness ratio. Iced Shaved desserts were good too. The lady who was working alone was such a lovely lady! she's such a hardworking person being the only one in the store doing register and making the dessert itself. Got the kakigori. Was pretty tasty. Service was friendly. I wish the ice was softer like hawaiian ice. The price is a little high for me to be a regular. Also note, these things take a while to make so if you come on a hot day you'll prob be waiting a bit. read more

I saw this place pop up in my Yelp suggestions when looking for desserts around the area so I thought why not try it out! Once entering, we were met with the nicest lady! I didn't get her name but she made sure we felt welcome and comfy. I got the mango kakigori and oh boy was it delicious! I used to live in LA and had my fair share of kakigori and bingsu from Japantown and Koreatown so this brought me back those same delicious memories. It had a whipped cream like topping with a bunch of mango syrup and mango chunks throughout. I think there might've been some condensed milk or something, but not too sure. I especially liked this one because the mango wasn't too sweet or overpowering. And the mango syrup and mango chunks were dispersed evenly throughout the ice that each bite was filled with yummy goodness! 10/10 I felt the tri-valley area was missing some good Asian shaved ice and I think I found the spot. It's a small place with great quality food and service. My daughter ordered the mango shaved ice, I went with the soy bean shaved ice and a hot matcha latte without sugar. Shaved ice are very well done - great ice texture and the sweetness is just perfect. The hot latter came out very good as well. The lady who served us was super friendly and she asked if I prefer to have latte before or after the shaved ice - very thoughtful. We will come back to try other alternatives.
