It had been so long since we'd had bolani, so we got one stuffed with potatoes. It's a thin bread stuffed with potatoes or sometimes leeks, and it's grilled crisp and served with a spicy green sauce for dipping. So tasty! We needed more veggies so we tried the borani banjan - delicious eggplant in tomato sauce. Paired with some delicious Afghan bread it was heavenly! Of course we had to cool down with some house made doogh - this yogurt drink is made with mint in Iran, but the Afghan version has cucumbers in it and it was so refreshing!
