Had a great time with my bride here a few weekends ago. The family vibe was strong (it was the 4th and Star Wars...). Beer adventures with the experiments and one-offs was fun. The burgers were on point and the fries (with queso and jalapenos!) were indulgent and rich. Top notch, indeed? Why only 4 stars? The only quibble was that it took a really long time for the wait staff to notice us and then they had a "discussion" over who was working the section. C'mon folks... Have a plan! We drove over from Louisiana to hear Wilderado play the Love Street Music Fest, unprepared for the fantastic time we had! Our VIP tix (well worth the price!) got us into the main restaurant area where they had a full spread of Mediterranean foods waiting! Staff, from the lady who banded us to the event organizer, to the bartenders, to those working the tent near the stage...including Adam!...made us feel like we were the only ones in attendance. The music was top-notch: Lucid Illusions, Adam Lambert, and Wilderado sounded and looked great! Someone even arranged for the full moon to sail by during the show. PIZZA & PINT: Couldn't find a Yelp for them but since it's connected to Karbach figured I would include it here. Pizza was decent. We got the pepperoni with hot honey and the hot honey wasn't noticeable at all. The crust had decent flavor and I liked the sauce. But overall just okay. Hoping if we try another type it'll be better. However if you're getting beers at the garden and order a pizza to go I can see that hitting the spot. (Honestly think they should offer pizza by the slice). Also it is odd that if you're just coming for the restaurant you have to order food at one spot and beer at another. The food is self service with a computer but someone is there for the beer. Will note it looked like they had their F.U.N series out there as well. As a former Texas resident, going to Houston and visiting Karbach was like being summoned to the mothership. As you might expect from a regional craft brewer (and a Texan one at that), the place is gigantic. The beer is great and there is a wide variety to choose from. Sitting outside under the fans was nice, and there were playing great jams from the 90s-00s; almost feels like they dug into my own personal back-catalog. Me and Mom stopped by after errand's. Place is very large and inviting. Small parking lot out front and additional access the street. Immediately greeted upon entering and seated inside. There is seating outside but Mom didn't want to be outside. Indoor has tall tabletops, standard tables and a wall with booths. There is standard seating at the bar. Our server was friendly and our food was tasty. I had the chicken/veggies/hummus and Mom had fish and chips. We tried some of their beer selection and pretty tasty. They had several awesome food trucks outside; Funnel Cake Bar, Creole vendors and even Italian shaved ice. I actually ended up buying some gloss and a liner from one of the vendors. Karbach burger: 8.5/10 - great taste, juicy, and well rounded burger. highly recommend for something reliable Truffle fries: 8/10 - get the truffle fries. I wish they added chopped parsley or something to make it look nicer but the flavor was solid. fry itself was crispy. bacon aioli was tasty but very rich. Pub pizza: 3/10 - DO NOT GET THIS. i read other reviews saying that it was good so i wanted to try it out. however this tastes like if I made a pizza at home with some kraft mozzarella cheese and threw some toppings on there. the crust was thin though and the cheese was melty, but overall this is a hard pass. Flights: 9/10 - great concept and 2.75 for most of each selection. I wouldn't recommend the paloma or the margarita (you're at a brewery for a reason) but all the beers were unique and tasty. I'm not a craft beer enthusiast or anything, but I especially liked the love street citrus and the hopadillo juicy ipa service was overall mediocre and inattentive. we sat a while before anyone helped us. maybe an off day but it's whatever. fun environment though being able to try a lot of their different products all in all, would come back! read more

I had a lovely time at Karbach yesterday afternoon. I went midday on Tuesday so it was very chill. I imagine weekends here are packed because they host pretty cool events like Karbachtoberfest that's coming up the end of September. This brewery and very spacious with tons of seating indoor, outdoors, and a Biergarten as well with plenty of seating. I ordered from the restaurant and sat on the patio. I tried the 5 flights with my favorite beer being the Love Citrus (wheat based). I really wanted to try the Love Peach however they were all sold out of them one which means it's definitely a fan fave so I'd like to try that next time. I also really enjoyed the Paloma cocktail too which had tajin around the rim which complimented it well. I also tried a small Cesar salad with a side of chicken to go along with my drinks as well which was pretty good. My hostess Alyssa (not sure if spelled right) was great! She was super friendly and took time to share some knowledge about the different beers they brew from their blondes to larger to more "hoppy" options and I really appreciated hearing from her expertise :) I'd definitely recommend checking this brewery out. Very nice place. The atmosphere was pumping The band was great The only downside was the seating. For how massive this place is. It's really hard to find seats. There also is no liquor available just beer. There is a pizza place close that you can walk to and grab a pizza. The parking can be tough also. All in all it's a great place to catch a beer and watch a game with friends then leave and go to a restaurant. read more

Went to the main taproom for a few mid day beers and lunch as soon as I landed in Houston. Overall, environment is chill and good for working remotely. The service at the bar was very good. The beers to me were just ok, the best one I had was the session IPA. Their main IPA has a very dry backend taste for my liking. The food though was 12/10. I got that Korean chicken bowl and the entire combo of peppers, veggies, avo, rice made it a quick, tasty lunch. read more

I want to express I am very disappointed with the planning and organization of the 4/12/2025 Love Street Music and Arts Festival, held at Karbach Brewery. Organization of that event reflects poorly on the brewery and parent company. Schedule of performers was not posted on the Karbach website . My wife purchased 2 VIP tickets as a birthday gift for me to see the band, Wilderado. The only time stated on the website was 3:00 PM, We arrived at the brewery at 2:15 PM. Once inside, we met one of the organizers who informed us that Wilderado would not perform until 8:30 PM. Had we known that, we would not have come to the festival at 2:15. We would have arrived much later. We left the festival because we were not going to wait 5+ hours for Wilderado. The organizer informed us the schedule had been posted on Instagram. That was not mentioned on the Karbach website. Had we known that, we would have viewed Instagram accordingly. read more

One of the staple breweries/pubs in H-town, you've probably drank their Crawford Bachs at Astros games. And of course their ranch waters at other bars. This is obviously the main spot where it's all brewed and it's quite a fun spot. There's a restaurant, patio, biergarten, and outdoor covered areas to hang, sip your beverages and socialize. The outdoor areas also have tvs and heaters for Houston sports. The common beers (love Street, hoppadillo, etc.) are always available but they have some solid seasonal brews. The raspberry ale was a favorite my buddy had and we also dig their IPA (clown-something related? I forget!). Their restaurant has some good eats with their everything pretzel and Korean fried chicken which we ordered. Both complimented the beers well. Definitely glad to live near here. Hours of ops are kinda odd since they don't open Monday and Tuesday. But breweries need a break too. read more

I have to admit, I am pleasantly surprised with the growth of Texas beers. It's actually a little daunting, as there are so many to choose from. I was happy to find this in the local HEB (famous leading grocery store here in Texas. For my Upstate NY followers, it's like Wegmans, but better -- imaging that). I liked it since it stated German style beer, which is one I prefer next to Belgium style. Went with this since I wanted a nice strong ale similar to Belgium brews, and this one didn't disappoint. It was not a bad price either. BTW, when did beer get so expensive in Austin, TX? I remember almost 8 years ago never having to pay more than $6 or $7 a six pack. That's why I was happy to see this nice quality beer selling for only $8.60 a six pack. Anyways, for the strength, it is still a nice smooth ale, with nice hints of bunch of stuff and not too hoppy. I walked through the brewery to get to the outside patio where the event was and they had a good amount of patrons there. The event had several vendors, lots of seating and a stage as it seems they host many events. I was sad to know that they only had IPAs, Ale's and cocktails in a can, but no sweet ciders. So I didn't end up eating or drinking but I did enjoy the space and atmosphere. read more

A cool spot, we went when they had the Latin festival. Karbach has a lot of great brews in my opinion, indoor/outdoor is spacious. My only "eh" was when we went during the festival I got some food from a vendor and my boyfriend and I walked inside to sit down because he was wanting to order food from Karbach menu and as we sat down the waiter that was walking around was kinda rude and short saying no outside food allowed inside and walked off (we respect establishment rules) but he didn't even let us say or ask anything. We were expecting something a bit more impressive from one of Houston's premier breweries when we visited for the first time on Saturday afternoon. The beer here is good, but when you go to the outdoor area to hang out--and you're, gasp!, not ordering food, then there is very limited seating. A couple benches were broken and because the tables are so small, they're not communal, so you end up perching on a ledge. Not very comfortable. The "kids area" is also pretty limited since there's only a bocce court for them to run up and down on. We wish that there had been some sort of playscape or something like there are in so many awesome (and business-savvy) breweries nowadays. In whichever case, we spent some time outdoors drinking some beers, which are great (love Love Street) and eating some stale popcorn that we got at one of the trucks from the Latin festival that was happening. We eventually made our way inside and were graced with a table since we were going to order some apps. It's your standard indoor Applebee's vibe decor, but we did really like the pretzel and Korean fried chicken apps. The latter was shockingly amazing--so crispy with a kickin' sauce. Came out to Karbach yesterday for their October fest weiner racing event! Benny participated and placed third place! Karbach def has a huge options of craft beers along with seltzer's and they even have canned cocktails made in house! This place has grown so much Over the past years and love coming back here! Benny and I will be back next year for the weiner race again and definitely coming back! They also have a indoor kitchen restaurant offered daily and multiple food trucks outside on location! i heard you borrowed my car. When you get a minute, I'd like my Karbach. This is a wonderful local brewery in Houston that has been making people happy for quite a while now. They know what they're doing and they do a good job with it. I'm-a keep trying more of their products in future because they're so popular and there are so many good ones now. But what I have tried has been pretty decent, and even though I think European beverages are so much better, as far as Americans go it stands up to a lot of the ones in the more fashionable parts of the country for beer. read more

Let's get brewing... wooooohooo!! Shout out to Ernesto Aguliar for being an awesome host! He showed us around, talk to us about pricing, and even walked us to the Biergarten. We didnt want to leave. Parking: There are 3 parking lots. One next to the building, the other right across the street, and a third one we never saw, but was told about. Customer Service: Everyone was so nice. OMG! They event went above and beyond to answer our questions. They even have us a tour of all of upstairs, the restaurant, and the Biergarten! Alllll on a Saturday!!! The Brew: My two fav beers will be discontinued, so get them while you can: Cherry Limeaide Radler and Lemon & Ginger Radler! They are delish and sound just like the name. It's amazing how they got the taste so close. I can admit, I am not a beer drinker and was totally sold!!! OMG, we love this place. You mean to me that this leave has been hiding here this whole time. What rock have we been under. The next thing on my list would be to try their food and hopefully we can get that additional star. This place is separated into a BIERGARTEN and a restaurant. You can get beer from the brewery at both locations on the premises. The Biergarten is a giant outside area with many tables, 2 bars, and a giant TV playing sports games. I ate inside the restaurant and ordered the beer battered fish n chips and a Session beer. The batter on the fish was too think in some places and did not cook evenly. The thicker pieces were too crispy and dark. The fish it self, was cooked properly and tasted good. The steak fries it came with was good too. The fries were cut inconsistently though. For the most part, the food was good and so was the beer. I would try this place again. read more
