I was craving Mediterranean food and this restaurant definitely hit the spot for me. It wasn't exactly on my way home but it wasn't too bad out of the way and it was completely worth it. The parking lot is a little busy but I was able to find a spot. You are also able to order online and they do have a designated spot for pick up and a couple of spots reserved for their customers. The gentleman and staff who prepared and took my order were very nice. I was so hungry and was worried that i should have ordered ahead but the wait was not long. I ordered a chicken and kufta plate. You are able to choose sides so I got both with salad and one with hummus and one with rice. Both meats were tender and delicious. The real MVP was the garlic sauce that the plates come with. It was a complete GARLIC bomb but I loved it so much- beware to those who may not be a fan of strong garlic. Also - fried pita croutons? YUM! I wish i had a bag of them. The restaurant itself appeared clean and smelled great. There is indoor seating but primarily outdoor. Can't wait to come back! read more

Around Anaheim, there's many amazing Arabic restaurants. Kareem's is one of the best. The kabobs are amazing. Beef or chicken, no lamb. Amazing! I usually don't like chicken kabobs because they're dried, but not here. It's delicious! The combo comes with two sides. I got the green leaves and salad. I love the grilled onions and tomatoes. The sirloin steak was juicy and flavorful. The pita bread was warm and fresh. I love this restaurant. For Thinsulin fans, there's plenty of green light options. I highly recommend this restaurant, either as a takeout or dine in. read more

Ummmmm idk how I haven't written a review for this place yet?!! Kareem's is honestly such a low key GEM!!! Anytime I want Mediterranean, this is my #1 go to spot. The food is incredible, the service is awesome, and you really can't beat the prices. If I could give an extra acknowledgment on top of the 5 stars I really would. 9/17/2025 I went to have a meal with a friend at your establishment. To my dismay, you were not open as it says in this Yelp ad. Yelp says you open at 9:30 am but your phone message says 10. I had to go away and find another Mediterranean restaurant. read more

I have an unhealthy obsession with this place lol! I usually order the Plant Based Fat Kid because it comes with all of my favorite dishes. My two most favorite things, however, are the falafel and the grape leaves. I could probably live the rest of my life on them. The lentil soup is also so so yummy. The mint tea makes me feel so cozy. Everyone here is super nice and welcoming. Every time I come here, I feel like I'm greeting old friends. And that feeling is made even better whenever I sit in their garden patio. If you're in Anaheim, or if you're anywhere in the LA/OC/IE area and willing to make the trip, it's worth it. read more

I was craving some vegan/vegetarian food and searched for a local spot on Yelp. I found Kareem's with its Mediterranean offerings. After browsing the photos and menu, a friend and I met up for an early dinner. Arriving at the Kareem's, the staff was friendly and we quickly placed our order at the counter. I ordered the Vegan Kibbeh Rolls and shared the Fried Cauliflower. We then waited in the patio dining area for our meal. The Vegan Kibbeh Rolls were crispy and delicious. The vegan stuffing had a nice spice and bold flavor along with the dipping sauces. A single order was four pieces, yet this was still a tummy-filling plate for me. The pita bread was also a hit with its warm, chewy, and slightly crisp texture. The Fried Cauliflower with sauce and onions had a tasty burst of flavor with a nice kick. However, the fried texture didn't last long due to the sauce on the cauliflower. I prefer to dip into the sauce and hope that's an option in the future. Other than that, I still recommend this shareable, worthy treat. There are some great options for drinks, but I went with the iced green tea with mint. It was refreshing and much needed on a warm afternoon. For dessert, we tried the packaged Vegan Baklava. I'm a big fan of baklava and was excited to try a vegan version. Upon the first bite, the familiar flavor and sweetness filled my mouth. However, the baklava lacked the crispiness and was a little drier than what I've known. Not sure if it was because it was vegan or pre-packed that made it on the chewier side. Overall, we enjoyed our first experience at Kareem's and looking forward to trying more menu items. At first thought, I thought this was a restaurant owned by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, one of the Laker's greatest hall of famer! But to my utter disappointment, it was not owned by him, although the taste test made it to my hall of fame! How I stumbled to Kareems is because of my diet, since I was on a time crunch. I needed a healthy lunch on the go! On their billboard menu, not only they have many healthy choices such as salads, wraps, sandwiches... they also have many vegan options as well! I went for the grilled chicken on a spinach wrap while Ajay H. went for the Kibbeh Beef Roll Bowl. As we sat down, our food was ready in 5 minutes, talk about fast! First bite test - fresh juicy chicken breast cooked to perfect mixed with fresh greens, Mediterranean gyro like sauce oozes down my lips, topped with a strong garlic flavor all in a nutshell. A few days ago, I got to stop by Kareem's in Anaheim to try some amazing Mediterranean dishes! I got the: Falafel Burger Fatteh Nachos - toasted pita chip nachos Combo Grill - chicken, beef, kufta with a side of salad and cilantro lime hummus Falapenos - pickled jalapeños and falafel Homemade Ice Tea My favorites were the combo plate (since I'm a meat lover), the falafel burger, and the fatteh nachos! The burger and nachos were such a nice fusion twist on classic dishes we all know and love! The combo plate also let me sample a bit of everything as well, which paired nicely with the aromatic homemade aromatic iced tea. I wish I could've eaten more but I got full so fast! Great food! Casual. Seating is outdoors in a patio setting. Our whole party enjoyed our dinner. Started with fried cauliflower. Other plates we ordered are the chicken and falafel plates. Chicken was very tender and flavorful. Falafel was perfectly cooked. Each plate comes with two sides which were good size portions. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Orange County. The food is fresh and delicious. Something for everyone... the vegan choices are amazing. Food is great. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the person taking the order was in my opinion a bit rude. They offered free hot or cold tea with the Yelp Check-in and when I tried to get the Karrak tea they said I could not order that one but could only order hot or cold black tea even though both cost the same. The person taking my order also said why I am not just taking whatever they were giving since it's free. I found this a bit rude. Ambience of the place is great and peaceful and we loved sitting there and eating. Three stars only because of the rudeness. Edit: Thank you for your reply. I respectfully disagree with you because of two reasons. One, the restaurant is open till 8 and not 7 30 and I saw at least one customer order after me so your premise that you accommodated me is not based on facts. Two, your Yelp check-in offer did not exclude any particular tea - when I placed the order it simply said hot or cold tea. Now you have deliberately changed the offer to cold tea after I posted this review. Also note that all the teas were priced the same so there was no way for me to know that Karrak tea is more expensive. Therefore, I disagree with your response and reducing the rating to 1 star for being disingenuous in your reply. read more

This was a perfect place to have a luncheon meeting. I met with other people here for business and it was the perfect Southern California atmosphere. We sat outside after ordering some small plates. I would have preferred to have a server rather than ordering first, however that was not a problem since after ordering, a person came to bring us the food once it was ready. Plus, someone came to check on us every once in a while. I'm glad we found this place. Thank you to those that run this. It is a great establishment. read more

So I've been here couple times, I think the last time we came couple weeks ago, I realized they have their good days and bad days. I've always thought this place was decent, not amazing, but good. The last time my friend and I visited, we ordered a chicken bowl and mom's garlic chicken wrap. 1. The bowl had maybe a hand full of chicken 2. We have been to several falafel places around town but this one is by far the best!!! As a vegetarian or even vegan they have SO MANY OPTIONS!!!! The spicy potato's are a must have and truly the best we've ever had!!! So moist from the spicy oil, and with the crunchy bits or garlic and red pepper they're to die for! Then the Brussel sprouts! Also our favorite around!!! With onions and walnuts in a sweet carmelized crunch!!! Then the falafel! Perfectly cooked and full of flavor! Not to mention all the sides and the buttery rice!!! This place is right down the street from my gym. So convenient to grab something healthy yummy and quick. They also have a nice patio to come enjoy a nice meal when the weather is nice. They also have some seating inside but it is smaller with limited space. Service was friendly and great. Looking forward to trying other menu items soon! read more

The moms garlic chicken wrap was good. It was sufficient and fairly priced. The garlic sauce was a side dip not spread in the wrap as expected. The chicken was well flavored and lettuce was fresh. It came with a side pickle and cube pickles at the bottom of the wrap. I also ordered a side of 1 falafel for comparison. Loved the crunch and fresh steam hot falafel. Service was helpful. I asked if they did half chicken / half falafel wraps. She said no but was able to suggest a wrap and add a falafel for $1 each. read more

Ordered from one of the delivery services and the food was decent. The falafel burger was actually very good. I was surprised by how good it turned out. The falafel wrap on the other hand was very disappointing. Not that it tasted bad but it wasnt flavorful enough. Would want to definitely try it again, may be during dine in. read more

Non-Middle Easterners think of the pita as limited to falafel, meat and maybe hummus, and most Middle Eastern sandwich shops are content to stuff flatbread with limpid veggies and tahini sauce that reeks of glue. The Hawaris, however, are pita magicians. Take--and eat--the labneh pita, for instance. Labneh is a sort of dairy spread reminiscent of minty Philadelphia cream cheese, a cool, smooth substance that most restaurants overwhelm with meat and lettuce. Kareem's fabulous falafels--a crunchy, chocolate-brown exterior encasing a soft-as-marshmallow, grass-green interior, not oily at all--come sweating with a nutty sesame sauce. Kareem's hummus by itself is great, chilled with perfect pools of olive oil in the center and enough chili powder sprinkled around to open up the taste buds but not the sweat glands.

I want you to look at the pictures of my review and see the colors. Bro it's literally the entire rainbow in that fresh pita, call me a leprechaun. I literally convinced myself that the entire sandwich (which makes me unbelievably full halfway through) is basically so healthy for me. They also give you samples of the falafel, and that pita bread tastes like it's completely homemade. Not pictured, but I also constantly get the hummus beef bowl, it is quite literally the most delicious of that type of dish I have ever had. They do not skip on the pine nuts it's worth every cent. This of each sandwhich to the brim and it feels like I'm biting into literally every flavor imaginable, but it doesn't feel like mush. It literally tastes like it's made with love and no wonder Sababa is the staple restaurant of Anaheim. I've taken so many friends here introduced him to what I feel is a restaurant that makes everything with love, which lives so much up to the Palestinian culture. Upon entering, everyone was super kind and welcoming. The interior was very clean and there was a lot of seating. However, what stood out to me the most was the kindness from the workers. When I was in line, I was immediately greeted with a sample of a falafel (which tasted great). I knew that I wanted to try the chicken pita, and the worker was kind enough to explain everything that would go in it, and I trusted his judgment. He put a little bit of everything in it, and it tasted AMAZING! The flavors all combined so well, and the presentation was just absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to come back here again :-)

The food and service from Yamen were very good, but the restaurant needs a better location, stronger advertising, and more customer traffic. I hope management recognizes the hardworking employees and finds ways to bring more people into the restaurant.

Unfortunately, brunch was a bit of a letdown. When we walked in yesterday, the restaurant was basically empty, with only a group of three sitting in the corner. The hostess asked if we had reservations and said she needed to check to see if there was room for us. We were eventually seated at a tiny table pressed against a beam. I had a view of the kitchen, while my husband had a view of the open door leading into the hallway of the Packing House. Definitely not the best table if you're there to enjoy the atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant. Our server was also a little strange. She was very meek and didn't really seem comfortable in a customer-facing service role. I ordered the Fizzie McGuire cocktail, and the presentation was underwhelming with zero garnish. Unfortunately, the drink itself was incredibly bitter. It tasted like the simple syrup may have been forgotten or there was way too much lemon juice. My husband ordered a coffee cocktail (I can't remember the name), which came with a dried banana garnish that was completely stale and inedible. Our drinks also sat at the bar for quite a while before being brought to us, and our server never came back to check whether we liked them. For food, I ordered the avocado toast and my husband got the Pearl brunch burger. The burger was good and a decent portion. The avocado toast came with a salad, although I wish there had been an option for potatoes or something a little heartier. The salad had a sweet dressing, which just wasn't what I was in the mood for. The avocado toast itself honestly looked like something I could have made at home. The cucumbers and radishes were all cut unevenly and simply arranged on top. The toast was literally just avocado, cucumber, and radish--no seasoning, no olive oil, and basically no flavor. It was incredibly bland. I eventually had to flag down our server and told her the toast was terrible. I asked for some salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar to try to make it more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the balsamic she brought out was a sweet glaze, which made the toast even sweeter. At that point, it almost tasted like I was eating a doughnut. I took a few more bites and just couldn't eat it. The hostess eventually came by and asked if I wanted a box. I told her the avocado toast was terrible, and she asked, "Oh, why didn't you say anything?" I explained that I had. She said she would speak with our server. They did end up taking the avocado toast off the bill, which was a nice gesture and appreciated. I really want to like Wooden Pearl because I love the decor and the overall concept, and our first experience was good enough that we wanted to come back. We plan to give it another shot at some point, but unfortunately, based on this brunch experience, 3 stars is all I can give it for now.

I don't remember exactly how my friend and I first learned of this place, but we later spotted and bought a $25 for $15 Groupon for Kareem's, and decided to use our Groupon to have a late lunch here on a Saturday afternoon.Kareem's is a small, rather plainly-decorated restaurant, with seating for about two dozen people inside and perhaps a little fewer outside.My friend ordered a chicken kabob plate and I got the kufta (ground lamb and beef) kabob plate. We both got diet sodas to drink. There's no soda fountain, but a small refrigerator in the corner is stocked with canned sodas and bottled drinks. Straws and glasses with ice are available, but we had to ask for them.Food is made to order, so we had to wait quite a while until our plates were brought out. We exchanged half the meat on our plates, so we both wound up with the same combination of chicken and kufta. I thought the kabobs were a bit on the dry side, with the chicken being a bit drier than the kufta. I would have preferred the meat to be a bit juicier.Our plates included rice, hummus, and pita bread. We received three pieces of bread, which was fresh and warm. The hummus was very good, not overly garlicky or too salty. I liked the rice as well. The portions were sufficient, and appropriate for the price.After looking at the pictures of these plates on Yelp, I see that they normally come with grilled tomatoes and onions, pickles, and peppers. We received none of these vegetables, and I can only assume it's because we used a Groupon.I believe the benefit of making a Groupon available is for a business to bring in customers that otherwise wouldn't come through their door, and that a business harms itself by giving customers who use a Groupon a lesser experience. Kareem's saved perhaps a dollar by not including those vegetables on our plates, but is that dollar worth the negative opinion I now have of them for doing so?Another negative for me was the noise. They played nice Arabic music in the restaurant, and at a reasonable level, too. But a waitress clearing the table next to ours made no attempt to do so quietly, and pushed the chairs around so they made loud scraping sounds as they were moved about. There was also a rather loud racket coming from the kitchen during part of our visit.Overall I thought the food was pretty good, and I wouldn't mind going back to try something else on the menu. But it's pretty clear our plates were a bit modified from what you normally get when you don't use a Groupon, which I think is unfortunate. Three stars for now. read more

Kareem's is a gem conveniently located just a short drive away from Disneyland. I recently satisfied my craving with their takeout, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. First off, the ambiance is great with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor patio has a charming setup and blooming flowers--a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I ordered the Catch Feelings Wrap, and it did not disappoint. Packed with hummus, pita croutons, feta, pickled onions, green onions, lettuce, tomato, garlic sauce, and chipotle sauce, all wrapped up in a spinach wrap. Every bite had the perfect ratio of veggies, chicken, and sauce. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, and I appreciated that they didn't skimp on the protein--something that can be rare these days. This has become one of my new favorite wraps. Whether you're a local or visiting Disneyland, Kareem's is a must-try if you're in the mood for Mediterranean food. With its close proximity to the park and delicious offerings, I'll definitely be returning to try more from their menu. couple of years ago i would have gave that place a 4 star, we live in san fran & it used to be a must stop for us (after i got over the fact that i had to wipe the forks & plates before using them which would explain the 1 star deduction to 4 but food was good).. However the last few times we were there we got treated like crap. the first time i said itsok maybe the chef kareem is having a bad day i'll give it one more shot.. the second time we went the place was closed still after half an hour from supposibly open time.. we waited out there for 5 min when we realized oh he's inside.. we knock on the door to ask him if he's open, he gave us attitude but he opened, then he messed up our food .. the foul tasted like he just opened a can of foul & LOTS & LOTS of cummin nothing else, food didn't taste the same( & i used to love the foul there) , he didn't give us the garlic sauce as usual & the whole experience was just plain bad and oh the dishes were filthy as usual.. if he didn't want our business, he should have said no i'm still not ready or still closed but to do that was just really really bad.. would NEVER go back there again he's just not worth it..he was a pure jerk! read more

I've been to a lot of arabic restaurants in my time, and i have to truly say that Kareem's restaurant is the best! No wonder they won BEST MIDDLE EASTERN RESTAURANT IN ORANGE COUNTY FOR 2009. There food is indescribable, I look forward to eating there every chance I get. You can smell the fresh home made falafel as you pull into the parking lot. The owners are very sweet, the beautiful woman has a smile at the window every time ready to take my order. There hummus is the best in the west, even better than my mother's, hope she doesn't see this review. They have a variety of dishes, every time I go there I try something new, and i don't have to worry about liking it or not because everything they have is delicious. Don't be fooled by the size of the place, it may be small but very clean. Their sandwiches are huge and so fulfilling, I get a sandwich when I'm in a hurry and it fills me up every time. And you know what, I just heard they have another location inside wholesome choice in Irvine, if your ever in the area stop by, the food is just as good. THIS IS THE BEST MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD ON THE PLANET!!! Seriously, the food is so fresh, so rich in flavor, so authentic in recipe; it is beyond me how delicious every dish is. The kabob plates are phenomenal, my favorite is the Kufta kabob Plate, which is ground beef and ground lamb hand mixed with shredded parsley and onions. It is served with creamy hummus and hot basmati rice! My other must have entree is the falafel plate with baba ganoush! The falafel here is unlike any other falafel I've tried. I've had falafel in Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Paris; Kareem's falafel is by far the best! It's a secret recipe but from what i can tell it is made with lots green vegetables (hence the inside is green) and is infused with many different spices which adds a nice kick and lastly is cooked to perfection. The baba ganoush is to die for!! I've seen the head chef make it before my eyes once and it really is so fresh and tasty! The eggplant is freshly grilled and then mixed into the other ingredients. Review for Kareem Restaurant - Anaheim, CA Kareem Restaurant in Anaheim has been serving the community for nearly 40 years. It's a true family-owned, family-oriented gem that has become a landmark for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. I was fortunate to personally know the owner -- God bless his soul -- who left us far too soon. His passing was truly heartbreaking, but his legacy continues to live on through his family, who have proudly carried forward his vision and traditions. This restaurant is known around the world for its incredible food, especially their legendary falafel, which is so popular that even major retailers and wholesalers, including Costco, carry it. Kareem Restaurant is more than just a place to eat -- it's a piece of culinary history. If you've never been, it's truly a place you must visit at least once in your lifetime. I live in the valley, and my job is in orange county. Whenever i have time for lunch i go to Kareem's restaurant. That place has by far the best food i have ever tasted. My friend told me about it so i went to try it out. When i first walked through the doors i was so amazed of how clean the restaurant was. The floors were sparkling and the walls were glistening. And what was even more beautiful was the lady at the window. She welcomed me with a smile, and made me feel at home. I told her it was my first time and she nicely went through the menu explaining what everything was. I decided to have the falafel plate. One bite was all it took to get me hooked, later she told me they won an award for their falafel which wasn't a suprise. this place is a must if you are in orange county. read more

Nevertheless, as I currently reside in LA near Beverly Hills (the birthplace of the Mediterranean cuisine), I am a huge fan of Mediterranean food. I think it was because 1. I was very hungry and it opens early. 2. I Like the falafel plate ( One of the Best in LA) I have a shawarma beef plate with hummus and it has been a real Mediterranean style plus falafel plus pita. My friend has falafel with hummus and he haven't had anything like that. It was very crunchy and good. It did taste little salty, but it was ok. Kareem means generous in Arabic. Generosity definitely can be seen through the portion sizes and the amount of love put into to dishes! I am pregnant and have been dreaming about the fatteh I could get in Lebanon and I knew it was impossible to find something close in California. But seriously, they have, hands down, THE best fatteh I have ever had in MY LIFE. I felt like I wanted to give whoever prepared it a huge hug after I devoured the bowl in complete silence. We were looking at open houses in Anaheim, and when I searched about surrounding restaurants, I saw Kareem's place. There is a lot of parking available. Few guys were showing off their cars by accelerating and slamming the brakes in the parking lot very unsafe, and I was hoping the business owners would come out or call the police to report. We ordered plant-based fat kid, including five falafel pieces, hummus, fries, pickles, tahini sauce, and pita. Falafel was soft and delicious. And marinated grilled chicken with sides of spicy hummus, pickles. The chicken was very juicy and tender. I highly recommend both entrees. Kareem's is incredible! Hands down the best chicken plate and falafel we've ever had. The wraps are next level, and the tri hummus was fantastic (though we definitely could've used more of those addicting pita chips). One of the highlights was the falafel fries which was something we'd never tried before. Imagine a plate of fries loaded with all the fixings you'd usually find in a falafel wrap... it was unique and seriously delicious. Service was solid and the outdoor seating was a nice touch, giving us a little escape from the grind of Anaheim. This place is a must if you're craving Mediterranean done right. read more
