Buyer Beware!!! This place is such a bait and switch and I do not believe a single good review is a real review. They did exactly what so many other people on this post have said. They advertise one price and then force a bunch of things you do not want, door guards, theft patrol, and window etching. Added $2800 to the cost of the car. When I said to the Finance Manager that was crazy, he told me I was crazy to expect to pay the advertised price. To make matter worse they ran a hard pull on my credit when they told me it would be a soft pull, and so far they have not sent me the request dispute form I asked for. If Karplus can give me one example of a person who paid the advertised price out the door (no forced add ons) I will change this to a positive review. If you want to buy a car from an honest place, Karplus is not it. read more

I just bought a vehicle there and it was the worst car buying experience of my life. They lied to us several times during the process. One was where they quoted us a specific low interest rate, then came to us with a monthly payment that was way more than I expected. I threatened to walk, and they came back with a payment $50 less, for the same period of time. So the initial offer was for a much higher interest rate, which they apparently thought we were too desperate to turn down. Plus the sales woman said we could finance the car through our bank, but then the finance guy said you can only finance it through them. That's the last car I will ever buy from them. read more

Some good and some bad but ultimately I bought the car I wanted here because of the price and really because they did their best to help me out compared to other dealerships. My credit wasnt the best of coarse but I had huge down to buy it cash but I know I have to pay for my mistakes previously but ultimately they actually got me lowest rate not no crazy long term payment and actually educated me on the finance part to pay off vehicle sooner. Take it car was advertised lower which I did notice and what they did was lower it to "add" the security feature which I've seen at other dealers do but they're advertised number was at blue book value already. For me I feel I paid bluebook with adding the security feature so it didn't bug me really. Should it be clearer maybe so but as consumer we should do our research too. Another dealer was charging me 24k plus the features and I got mine 20k plus features and came out to the 24k ultimately. I got my logins to track mt car so I'm good. If you're stating you don't like it because they can track it due to non payment then that's personally something you should even think about before buying one.. Finally thank you Steven for following up and making it happen. Ultimately I knew the car I wanted and I kept it simple. Get me the numbers I want and I'll take it if not I'll go elsewhere and don't waste time. And you did that. "Having orgys in the car, you know what I'm talking about" was not the most professional thing to be told when given the keys to a loner because the car after knowing they sold me a lemon..... Save yourself the pain in the ass and sexism if you're a woman. This dealership has a third party mechanic shop that inspects the cars, the mechanics are known to over look faulty problems and not report them to carfax. There job is to "get it running" and reset the computers. BRING A CAR PERSON WITH YOU. Was told I'm a stupid girl and didnt know what I was talking about, when I called and said there was no oil in the car I bought not even a week after. Had it inspected. Axel seal was leaking. They now have had my car for two weeks for a 3/4 day job. Same mechanic who said I was dumb, have hung up on me and was given a broken down loner car in the meantime that not even as of equal value.......... when bringing my car into MY OWN mechanic to inspect. Never trust cars from Karplus, he sees them ALL the time a month after people buy them cause they get them to run just long enough for you not to be able to tell. (He works a mile down the road) when sitting for three hrs waiting on a decent loner vehicle, I witnessed two other people with mechanical issues DAYS after buys. One man's breaks were overheating and the dealership shrugged and said it was on him..... worst mistake of my life was to trust the mouths on the car salesman. Good luck! I went with these guys, I drove all the way down from the bay area to get a particular car from them, the customer service was fantastic, they helped accommodate the fact that I wasn't able to just drive the car off the lot the same day, when I needed some little thing they just handled it. The whole process, from seeing the car with Elizabeth, paying and working out a short payment arrangement with Lon, and Eleazar and the managers behind the scenes everything was smooth and professional. Any problems I had they fixed them. It was great. There was never any resistance or unwillingness to be helpful after I paid they have done everything and they treated me like I was the only customer when I was there and I was very happy. I didn't even buy the most expensive car on the lot and I still felt like they were treating me like I did.
