Whilst driving along the Delaware we came across Kasey's. Ate outside in the garden area which was nicely shaded. The burgers we ordered appeared to be homemade and delicious. (They were too large to eat even half!) Burger Platter came with a pickle spear and quartered whole potatoes. Purchased a home Baker chocolate chip cookie on the way out. Not fine dining but a good little place to eat! Prices were very reasonable, too! Bathrooms were dated but clean.

    Meatball parm hoagie

Vastly exceeded expectations for our first visit. It's a little funky- definitely not a chain or copycat kind of place. But the service was genuine and engaging and the food was really well done. Wednesday is Italian night, and I had a meatball parm hoagie that was a special. The portion was very generous for the price, with well-seasoned and well-cooked meatballs nestled into an appropriate amount of marinara, mozzarella and parsley on a really good roll. The bread was crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside but not soft enough to succumb to the filling. It had to be close to a foot long, for $7.95. The fried flounder sandwich was also good-the fish well cooked with a crisp exterior and moist center. Highlight of the meal, though, was the cherry pie and rice pudding-both were outstanding. We'll go back to try the entrees, maybe on Thursday for the steak night. We sat outside in the shady patio which was surprisingly comfortable and bug-free on an 86 degree day. Really glad we stopped in.

Seafood platter was delicious. Lots of food at good prices. Came with a salad and shrimp cocktail. Just a great place.

    Chicken nuggets and fries

First time visiting this restaurant based on a family members recommendation. Upon arrival our experience was solid. From the simple parking lot to the detailed interior, this place has a lot to offer. You get a decent portion size of food for you money. The service is decent and the people are friendly. We will definitely come back again. Great first time experience.

Kasey's is CLOSED. The new place is Amanda's and it's pretty damn good. Her baked goods are great.

I also tried the soup of the day which is the chicken corn chowder and I highly enjoyed it. It's a very small cafe and not much room to move about so when it's packed it gets pretty noisy. The couple things I want to note are around how long it was to wait for a table and food. We arrived in the area around 1125am and I called to place my name on the wait-list. Upon answering, the hostess informed me you have to place your name on the waitlist in person. No issue, I walked over to do this. Only to find out that the waitlist is monitored by Yelp, which can easily be done online. So that was very frustrating to see at the start. We then were told to wait 15-20 minutes. When we got to the front of the list, they then informed us that we needed to wait an additional 20-30 minutes as the kitchen needed to flip. This was very confusing and a big turn off. Eventually, I spoke with a woman who allowed us to come inside and sit down instead of waiting outside for over an hour. It would have been nice to know at the outset of this whole interaction that breakfast wasn't going to be an option and then it would be an hour before we could order and eat. At the end of the day, we ate our great food and enjoyed being able to dine at this place. I will just look into a few more places on my next visit here.

I kept it…read morefactual, balanced where possible (you noted the burgers were fine), and clear about why it was so disappointing--especially for a holiday outing with your 93-year-old mother-in-law. 1-star review (recommended) We took my 93-year-old mother-in-law out for an early Fourth of July dinner because it was over 100 degrees and a cookout wasn't realistic. This restaurant had been a longtime favorite, so we were looking forward to a relaxed meal. Unfortunately, it appears the business has been sold and is under new management. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we arrived -- never a good sign. The online menu was not accurate; only a very limited lunch menu was available, consisting mostly of burgers with almost no appetizers (just a couple of salads). We ordered drinks and burgers. My Bourbon Blackberry Smash was described as Maker's Mark with muddled blackberries, lemon, and mint. What arrived was essentially pink club soda with a faint taste of bourbon. When I pointed this out, I was told they could "make it stronger." After questioning why club soda was even in the drink (it wasn't listed in the description), a second version arrived that was still heavily diluted with club soda and only marginally better. The burgers themselves were decent and tasted very similar to what the previous owners served, right down to the pickles. However, given the extremely limited menu and lack of other options, this was not the meal we were expecting. The experience was a major disappointment and completely ruined what should have been a nice holiday outing for my mother-in-law. We will not be returning. Why this version works well: * Balanced but clear -- You give credit to the burgers while being direct about the bigger problems (drink accuracy, limited menu, empty restaurant, inaccurate online information). * Specific and factual -- Readers can see exactly what went wrong without it sounding overly emotional. * Context matters -- Mentioning the 93-year-old mother-in-law and July 4th heat helps explain why this outing was important. * Actionable for others -- Future customers will know to check the actual menu and expect limited options under new ownership. Alternative shorter version (if you prefer something briefer for Google/Yelp): We visited on the Fourth of July hoping for a nice early dinner with my 93-year-old mother-in-law. The restaurant has new owners and it shows. We were the only customers, and only a very limited lunch menu (mostly burgers) was available -- nothing like what was posted online. My $16 Bourbon Blackberry Smash arrived as watered-down pink club soda with almost no bourbon flavor. Two attempts later, it was still incorrect. The burgers were fine and tasted like the old version, but the overall experience was poor. We won't be returning.
