Went to KashiJapanese with my boyfriend today! Traveled a bit to get here, but it was so worth it. The staff was so friendly, and constantly checked up on us. I dropped my chopsticks and by the time I picked it up our waiter brought more! The food was also delicious. Our favorite was the cracked lobster signature roll. In addition, my boyfriend had a coupon for his birthday the app granted him (which was last week). After hearing this they brought out fried ice cream on the house without us even asking! I've been going to Kashi in Bellmore since it opened. Love the menu, decor/ambiance and service. What really makes me keep coming back is the way the Manager Tony Larm goes out of his way to say hi, see how everything is and, on some occasions, do a sake-bomb with us! The decor is beautiful. Service was excellent. The friends that I went with ordered wine and they felt the glass was only 1/3 filled. We laughed about it but should have mentioned it to server... I ordered salmon hibachi which was served with brown rice and lots of fresh veggies. Salmon was a little saucy but tasty! The portion size was huge. We ordered edamame and crab as appetizer and they were both delicious too. I will definitely be back soon. My friends both ordered sushi and loved it! Second visit and third visit were equally good. I went to pick up lunch and my order was wrong. I let it go, no big deal, people make mistakes. Wife and I went on Fathers day and were seated right away since we didn't request Hibachi. The chilean XO sea bass was delicious and the Seafood medley my wife had contained a little bit of everything and she was quite happy; and everything was tasty. Holy shit! This place from the ambiance, to the super friendly staff to the amazing food is just A+. I have never had sushi as good as here. Their food and drinks are superb, I'm never disappointed. My husband and I love this place. We have been here eight times in the last year. We mostly sit at the bar for dinner. Jen and Andy are great bartender/servers. Service is always quick and great. Food is fantastic and presentation always top notch. We have a Kashi app (not usually our style) and to our surprise when they rang us up they saw it was our anniversary. They took $10 off the bill and surprised us with a beautiful tempura ice cream dessert with a candle. The management here knows how to create and maintain loyal regulars- which we are 100% now. This is my new go to sushi spot. Pricey but not if you make happy hour at the bar! Drinks are $3-$5 and a spicy crunchy salmon roll is only $4. There's a bunch of options for apps and rolls at a really good price. My other favorite is the petite filet mignon appetizer - it's one of the best things I've ever eaten. Their hot sake isn't watered down and isn't one that burns going down. Atmosphere is cool but the one thing I hate is the parking lot and the fact that you HAVE to valet... even if there are open spots you have to leave your key with them but other than that, which isn't really the restaurants fault anyway... 5 stars! read more

Went with the half and half steak & shrimp hibachi. They do not give you soup and salad to start. I usually like getting noodles with hibachi over rice. I got brown rice as a side, because the fried rice was extra money. Should've gone for the fried rice. The hibachi tasted good, but my steak was chewy and slightly overcooked. LOVE this place! Stumbled upon the one in Syosset last summer and later discovered they have multiple locations. My review is specifically for the Bellmore location since I go there most often. Great atmosphere with a live DJ Friday & Saturday nights, excellent waitstaff who are always so friendly and accommodating, and most importantly amazing sushi! Personally recommend the Cracked Lobster & Angry Dragon rolls, and the Rock Shrimp Tempura for an appetizer. Honestly the food is very well priced for the amount and quality they serve. Over rated chain sushi! I went to this location on a Saturday night with friends having a 7pm reservation knowing it would be packed. Our table was not ready at 7pm. We were told by the hostess(who looked extremely overwhelmed) it would be 15-20mins. That's fine, we'll get a drink at the bar. We took a seat at the bar and weren't acknowledged by the bartender for at least 20mins. By that time it wasn't it worth it to order a drink because our table who be ready, right? WRONG! We approached the hostess and were told it would be another 20mins. By the time we were sat it was 805pm. The manager compensated us with a couple of appetizers, but the sushi rolls were mediocre to say the least. I'll be sticking to the Huntington location if I ever decide to return. read more

I usually frequent the Kashi in RVC and was in the area and decided to stop by this bellmore location. The food is terrible compared to rvc. Its not fresh. The first time i went here the sushi rolls had much thicker layers of rice and less filling than the rvc location making it bland. Horrible experience!! I placed an order through seemless. Not only did it arrive 45 minutes past the expected delivery time but the food that arrived smelled and tasted off. My boyfriend and I both stopped after a few bites of the Kani salad and were like "yea something is off". We figured maybe it was just the salad so moved on to try a sushi roll and that tasted horrible as well. I believe either the fish was bad or maybe our food was sitting out in the open for too long waiting to be delivered and it started going bad. Either way I called seamless and they tried working it out with the restaurant but they denied a refund. I spent $50 didn't eat the food and got no compensation what so ever!
