Let's face it, right now between the chip shortage, the magnitude of jerks pushing electric vehicles and the egregious demand for this year's current make/model of Chevy trucks its a dog eat dog cut throat world. I had been on the hunt for a particular truck for 5 months. I had gone on the Chevrolet main site, built my dream truck... and then began chasing what seemed like a ghost. Each time I would find anything even close to my truck, it was sold before I could even click the keys fast enough to buy online let alone go see it. Cash buyers came out of the woodwork. This particular dealership out of the 8-10 I had contacted were the only ones to take my inquiry seriously. Here I was, a female rancher in search of a $90k customized Diesel truck. They kept in touch. Often, but not so much they became an annoyance. And then finally it happened. They had a truck incoming on a transporter that met 24:26 of my specs. It didn't surprise me that the moment it rolled onto the lot they had a stack of inquiries. They gave me the chance, I jumped. We worked quickly and efficiently with 100 miles in between us. We secured the truck through phone and laptop input, and by that evening they delivered it to my hone and picked up my trade in truck. We signed papers on the tailgate, traded keys and sealed the deal. The associates we worked closely with were Raymond & Lucas, however not one employee there even the finance guy was rude or off putting. The young man that delivered the vehicle was even charming. This truck is probably the most beautiful thing (besides my children) I have ever seen. I couldn't sleep that night because I was so nervous and excited. Horrible communication is why they aren't getting five stars from me. First, I inquired about a used Bolt EV they had on their website. They called me and told me to come on in. Well, when I came in, they informed me that all Bolts are on stop sale due to a seatbelt recall and that it could be several months before they can sell any. Don't you think you should have mentioned this before I came over? That's communication fail A. On my way out I spotted a different used car that interested me. Test drove it, we agreed on numbers, and I bought the car. However, in the process of submitted the finance application my income was overstated, so a few days after taking the car home I got a letter from the finance company that my loan had been declined. I'm not sure if this was a miscommunication on my end or a mistake on their end, but I provided several paystubs so I'm not sure how this could have happened. After I got the letter, I contacted the dealership who had no idea and said everything was fine. Well, almost a week passes and the loan hadn't showed up in my online banking (last time I bought a car a few years ago with the same bank it showed up right away) so I contacted Jimmy Vasser again. What followed was a multi-day back and forth that resulted in me chasing their tail over the phone and in person until we reached a resolution. And guess what, the car loan showed up in my online banking within 24 hours of us working to resolve the issue. That's how it should have been the whole time! That situation was communication fail B. Overall, the car I purchased is fine, and I'm glad it all worked out in the end, but it was a slightly frustrating experience overall. I was ready to buy a car today, cash in hand, easy quick transaction. However, the car had a few details that the dealer overlooked. The passenger door was missing the door stop that keeps it from swinging open and damaging the car. The 12 Volt battery (it's a Chevy Volt with an EV battery and a 12 Volt battery for accessories) had been allowed to run down, or there is a problem with the charging system. The Infotainment system was having display issues on the page for the Heating and A/C controls. They did not know if the Onstar Unit was 4G or still 2G in this year model. OnStar 2G systems will no longer function after December when all the Cellular providers switch to 5G (which is only backwards compatible to 4G). The advertised mileage and the actual mileage were off by over 2k. Despite all of these short comings (one would think a Chevrolet dealer would be better informed on their own brand of cars), this dealer suffers from recency bias where just a 6 months ago used car prices were going up, and has this car overpriced with an unreasonable expectation of an out the door price. The car has been in their possession nearly 3-1/2 months, and several times the manager stated on the phone that he didn't know why the car has taken so long to sell. My cash offer was well within "Good Deal" territory, but they refused to budge and were happy to watch me and my cash walk out the door. I will give you 3 guesses why you have had to drop the price several times and you still can't sell it. The first two guesses don't count. Lamont was a good guy to work with, it's simply his managers that don't have a clue of what is going on in our economy and suffer from recency bias. Hay day is over boys, cut your losses and get rid of your inventory to replace it with vehicles you pick up cheaper that allow you to sell at a lower price and make your money back. I purchased my 2017 colorado diesel from Vasser. First sign of trouble was the "free" services for the first few oil changes. This garbage-tier service dept takes on average 4 hours to change the oil and filters, even with an appointment. So basically I burn an entire workday to save $100 on an oil change. that's a ripoff, plain and simple. Lesson learned: next time a stealership offers free services with a purchase, tell them to shove it and take the value of the services off the purchase price. Next, I start feeling transmission shudders a few thousand miles before the warranty expires. I bring it to Vasser for no other reason than the warranty since I already had bad vibes from their service people. They send me packing with a $300 diagnostic bill and claim they didn't find anything. I keep feeling the shudders but like an idiot I took them at their word and drove the truck another year or so until... Two weeks ago. I finally get fed up with the shuddering and take it to a well-recommended independent shop for diagnosis. Fluid was black, torque converter near failure, cost of repair is high enough that it makes more sense to replace the trans to get a fresh warranty ($8500). All for a problem that I had spotted a year earlier but Vasser's service dept was perfectly happy to leave me dangling in the breeze. Oh, and the problem with the trans was listed in a factory TSB, so they would have known about it. Never giving this stealership another red cent or a minute of my time. They're not worth the consideration. read more

3 minutes ago !!!!! BEWARE !!!!! THEY BROKE OUR DOOR HANDLE DURING AN AIRBAG RECALL SERVICE AND THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE US TO REPAIR IT !!!! Details below: My mother took our 2010 CHEVY TAHOE in for airbag recall service. When my mother picked up our Tahoe, she noticed the driver side door handle was broken as if someone leaned on it with force or handled it with force. My mother is not very fluent in English but she brought this to the staffs attention how ever she could, only to be disregarded and told there was nothing they could do for her. When my mother told me that their staff didn't want to help her and told her they couldn't do anything about it, I went back and asked to speak with the manager (Adam). I explained to Adam what had happened and that my mother noticed the broken door handle after she picked up the vehicle, to my surprise Adam tried to deny that this could have happened at his facility and said there's nothing he could do about it. Adam was not a very good listener to begin with, he kept saying "they didn't work on the door" after I had clearly told him the vehicle was taken in for airbag recall service NOT for door service. WE KNOW THEY DIDNT WORK ON THE DOOR. The door handle was broken WHILE they were servicing our vehicle at YOUR facility. Adam sent us an estimate stating that we should pay $399 + tax to fix the door handle. This is absolutely unacceptable and wrong. They must not have commercial business insurance! Or it sounds like they're working FRAUD! Adam blames the owners for having to charge us for repairs, and if this is really how the owners operate their business then it is a shame. When you take a vehicle in for service, their technician will inspect the vehicle as their protocol, they make note of existing damages before vehicles are serviced. Please be aware that on our inspection report it was noted that our dash was broken. (Report is attached). No where does it say that the door handle was broken, my mother even spoke to the tech and he confirmed that he didn't notice a broken handle. This is very unfair, my parents are hard working folks, they work hard for their belongings and this company thinks it's okay to break peoples property and charge them to fix it. People need to know that this business only cares about money, they don't care about your vehicles. My mother said she saw one of the bigger lady's from the FRONT DESK get in our Tahoe and drive it into the service shop! With so many hands touching the vehicles it's no wonder things are being broken! This business is not taking accountability and responsibility for their actions. I already reached out to the BBB. I don't know what else to do in this case, I will be going to court to see what else can be done because there is no way we are paying out of pocket for this mess. read more
