    Monday night special

Wait is always long, just grab a beer next door at the bar. Food is amazing amazing amazing. Monday night special is probably one of the best bites of sushi I've ever had. You have to try it!

Nice japanese restaurant , authentic sushi and friendly service. They also offers conveyor belt . Sometimes you will have to wait a bit but I can tell that worth the waiting. Highly recommend a visit if you like japanese food.

Last night was my first time at Katana -- was very excited to experienced, just for the vibes of the sushi boats. The place has a maximum of 25 seats, so the wait time is serious. I made the trek from Shenandoah area to their location in time to add my name to their waitlist at 6:56pm -- the wait time was 90mins on dot. We killed time nearby at Bob's only to return maybe 30mins before our call time to find that the wait list had 2 additional pages...ppl seem to like the place a lot. We finally sat down and started the indulgence..or so I had hoped...honestly, not a lot of variety on those little boats. Sushi was okay, but I don't think I would venture out here for sushi again..experience was dope and for a first time, it was nice. I'll stick to my neighborhood gem.

I was so hungry so idk if that helped but it was all so gooooood!!! Such a fun experience too. And one waiter was so sweet, he saw we wanted something that passed us and ran to go get it. The layered cake was great. All the sushi was tried was great. It's a small place and you have to put your name down on a wait list to be seated. Worth the wait.

Such a cool spot but arrive early because the wait time is almost two hours. The food is delicious and so tasty but it's also a 75 minute eating time so be quick.. otherwise pretty cool experience!

A Miami Beach Classic, with great food that still holds affordable prices despite the expensive prices in the city. The service is very friendly and take there time to joke with you, even when it's very busy. Sitting next to the sushi boats floating in the river is an experience that you don't get to see that often anymore. Not a fancy place, but it feels very cozy every time you go in, like a capsule in time. Make sure to get there early, they don't take reservations but you can sign up and then go for a drink at Bob's while waiting.

this is my third time coming to this place and actually making it past the wait time! i will say, it is very worth the wait, i think we waited about an hour and 15 mins and were immediately sat, they are very good about turning tables. i didn't get the names of the two ladies who served us but they were very sweet!! all the sushi, sashimi, and nigiri tasted so fresh. they have appetizers, hand rolls, the best thai donuts, and so much more. i would go online and look at their menu to really have the best experience, every plate on the boats are priced differently, and i think the portions are perfect. the sushi chef is baiscally whipping all these sushi's out in front of you and it's like having dinner and a show. while there isn't any music and it's a pretty quiet ambience, there's lots of conversation going on which makes me feel like it's more of an experience than just dinner. they're open from 6pm - 12 am everyday, so accommodate for a possible 2 hour wait time. i'm definitely coming back, i love it here !!

Tip: get here in advance of 6pm to write your name - and then your call awaits! Make sure to stay nearby with your phone on hand - if you don't show up in 3 minutes, your seats will be given up to the next awaiting party. We got to Katana at 7:30pm, wrote our names down, and ended up waiting an hour to be seated. However, our worries of "will this be worth the one hour wait" were quickly appeased when we saw and tasted how fresh the sushi/sashimi were. Being sat right in front of the sushi chef also made these delicious pieces very accessible!

Food here is so good! You need to get here early or before you're actually hungry because the wait gets really long.

It was about a 10 minute walk from our AirBNB off Washington Ave and 12th. It was surprisingly empty, except for 2 other customers, so service was quick! Our server and sushi chef were pretty quiet, but that was okay. I loved the mural on the wall. We ordered a few different rolls including their special rolls, and everything was delicious! There was an additional 18% service charge on top of added in 20% automatic gratuity. Overall, happy with this sushi option in South Beach that we found on a whim.

I came in here after a night of looking at art and in search of a quick bite. I almost walked right past it, on the Monday night I went in there was no one in the restaurant. At first I thought it might have been closed. Once inside we were greeted right away and given menus. My friend doesn't really do sushi but she ordered the shrimp tempura roll and devoured it. I had the tuna Cali roll and I have to say it was fresh, simple, and delicious. The restaurant is rather small but gives a cozy feel. We sat at the sushi bar and got to see the chef masterfully prepare our rolls.

I went to the location on Aragon Avenue in Coral Gables (from out of town and just happened to walk…read moreby) but I can not even find that location on Apple or Google Maps. All I know is when it came to pay, I had to pay two separate bills to a business called Shimuja Ramen Stall 308 and a business called Iron Sushi, which is already super weird/ shady and confusing. So all's to say I am going to leave this review both here and on Iron Sushi. This was one of the worst "meals" I've ever had in my life. I had the Tokyo Shoyu, which had just two slices of 'pork belly'- even less than one of the buns I ordered-which really needed like pickled daikon or something to cut through it- it was just mayo (?)not even Asian Kewpie and lettuce (?) which just did not belong there. Sure it's fine to mix cultural ingredients but from this meal, I have a feeling that was not the intention. Back to the ramen- the broth had no depth whatsoever. Way too many noodles, that didn't even taste fresh. It was the cheapest ramen on the menu but even then I overpaid for this small bowl at 20$. My sister's meal looked pretty terrible and from what I tasted was incredibly overseasoned. The edamame were basically inedible unless you carefully popped the peas out of the shell but even then the salt on your hands after popping them out would shock the hell out of your taste buds. And the chicken yakitori were all fat somehow?
