    Pad See Ew
    Kathie H.

The waiter told us not to get noodles so I was stressed at first but when I ordered my pad see ew, he said, "At least it wasn't pad thai" LOL. We ended up chatting with him for a while afterward and he was super nice!! The food was solid.

Tasty food, quick and attentive service, and a small but well-arranged space for dining. We stopped by for a meal and tried the green curry and pad Thai and their house wine - red and white. We had asked for both to be spicy, but the spice level leaned more toward mild to medium--would've loved a bit more heat. The main downside was the portion size. Even by lunch standards, it felt small, especially considering it was priced as a full entrée. Overall, it was a good first-time visit--solid food and smooth service--but nothing exceptional that would draw us back for a second round.

Excellent prices with flavorful and large portioned dishes. Ordered the Panama curry shrimp with dumplings for $15 and tom yum soup, and mussels. Everything was delicious and to top it off they had great service. Highly recommend.

Came here during happy hour on a Monday, which was great btw (Monday-Saturday 4-9pm) and drinks are $9! We were seated immediately with any booth / table of our choosing. We ordered the massaman curry & pad see ew. The curry was sweet and creamy but not too heavy but the pad see ew couldn't used a little more flavor! The peanut dumplings we got as an appetizer was greattttt & the drinks were cheap but tasty & strong! Overall a cute Thai spot tucked away in the east village, would recommend this spot as a date spot for a filling but affordable meal.

Kati is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in Manhattan! I've never felt compelled to review any other Thai places! I Shouldn't have waited this long to do so! The food is exceptional, the prices are fantastic, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant. I've been a loyal customer for nearly 20 years! Louis M (aka Loco)

Super delicious Thai food with great prices!! I ordered the Kati crispy roll, Penang curry with chicken, and mango sticky rice. In total was $34! Great price! I loved the mango sticky rice so much, the presentation was something I haven't seen before and the mangos were so fresh. This restaurant definitely deserves more attention, it's super cozy and a great place to catch up with friends/family! The staff were super accommodating too! They offer a 3.75% discount if you pay with cash

Went here for the lunch special. The food was delicious and full filling. The service was prompt and friendly. Cute decor with a nice ambiance.

A cute little restaurant in East Village with great happy hour deals for drinks and appetizers! I got the pad kra prow with minced chicken and it was delicious. I got it medium spicy, but there wasn't much spice to it so I would probably get spicier next time. There was a good amount of flavor and the spicy, sweet, garlicky sauce was perfect for the rice. I was pretty full after finishing my meal. The servers were quick and friendly. Definitely a good option for decent Thai in the area!

Pad See Ew Lunch Special with beef with spring rolls ($13+$1)
    Wei H.

Average Thai food. Got the lunch special pad see ew with beef ($13+$1-beef) and spring roll. Good portion but beef is a little dry. Spring rolls need more seasoning. Thai ice tea is good. Nice decor inside. Many tables. Quick service. I called and put in order or pickup. It was ready 10-15mins. Friendly staff.

    Chicken Wings - Zabb flavor
    Wendy T.

The crab fried rice was pretty good, but the rice to meat/veggie ratio was unbalanced. I'm not sure how to spell the flavor of the chicken wings (zabb/zaab) but they were SO good. They're a little zesty and a fun different taste, would definitely recommend. Service here is so nice and sweet! Would come back.

Yummy Thai food! Strong air conditioning. I got very tasty soft shell crab salad. My companion got glass noodles with shrimp. The service was excellent, very understated. Recommend.

    Grilled Shrimp Salad, Pad Thai

In a quaint spot in East Village / Stuytown with lovely lanterns and neon lights for decor! The food prices are comparable to typical NYC Manhattan prices. Came here around 7 on a weeknight for a party of 2 without a reservation, and there were plenty of open tables (1-2 tables were seated). The service was quick, and the waiter was extremely thoughtful and nice. He checked in a few times and was very courteous. He also brought over a knife before I asked for it for the shrimp! We got the shrimp salad and pad thai. The salad is pretty pricey for the amount, but the Pad Thai had a more generous amount. The salad was also noted with a spicy symbol, but was not spicy, so it seems that the spice level would be good for those who do not prefer spice.

Fried tofu, dumplings, soft shell crab salad.

Great food, good prices, polite service. I came here with a friend when another Thai restaurant was too full. I'm glad we went. The happy hour prices are unbeatable. We shared steamed dumplings, curry puffs, fried tofu, and the soft shell crab salad. We will definitely come back.

The basic pat Thai has not much flavor. The owner also tried to rush me out when the restaurant is half empty.

I'm a Thai foodie from California and I really loved SaiTong! The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Fortunately, there were plenty of options near my Midtown hotel that offered quick delivery. Dagg Thai was just around the corner and had solid Yelp ratings. Rather than creating an online account, I called the restaurant directly and placed my order. They estimated delivery would take about 25 minutes. Less than 20 minutes later, the food was waiting for me in the hotel lobby. I ordered: * Cashew Nuts with Shrimp -- Bell peppers, onions, scallions, cashews, and dried chilies. * Dumplings -- Mixed shrimp and pork served with a soy vinaigrette dipping sauce. The Cashew Nuts with Shrimp had a flavorful, light sauce with just the right amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. My only disappointment was that the shrimp were battered and fried; I would have preferred grilled or pan-seared shrimp. The dumplings were more like shoo-mai than traditional dumplings. They were a bit dense but still flavorful and satisfying. Considering the quick delivery, the food arrived piping hot, and the excellent Cashew Nuts dish, this was an easy four-star meal.

We started with the curry puffs and satay buns, both of which were easy wins. No complaints, I would happily order them again. The Khao Soi was the highlight of my meal. I also tried a little bit of the crab fried rice which was also incredible. I also ordered the lychee mocktail. The drink itself was fairly average, but it came with a lychee mochi that completely stole the show. I honestly enjoyed the mochi more than the drink itself.
