My original stylist, Emma, had to cancel last minute due to illness, which I completely understood. Since I was heading out of town for vacation and needed my hair done beforehand, the salon rescheduled me for that Saturday with another stylist (whom I won't name out of courtesy). Unfortunately, the appointment went terribly. I was quoted a price and given a timeframe of 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for a tone, glaze, and haircut. I ended up being there from 11 a.m. until after 3 p.m. nearly four hours and I never even received the haircut. The total price I paid was much more than originally quoted (even without the haircut) The color process was poorly executed: my hair came out overly ashy, spotty, and completely off from what I requested. The stylist had to re-glaze it, but I was still charged for that re-glaze even though it was correcting her own mistake. I also specifically said I didn't want a full blow-dry just enough to make sure my hair looked okay for my trip but I was still charged for a full 30-minute blow dry I never wanted. Worse, during the service, I told the stylist that my scalp was hurting, and she dismissed it, saying it was probably just "stress." When I got home, my husband noticed visible burn marks on my scalp. That was alarming and honestly made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Then, she told me she wanted to dry my hair before cutting it, which is not standard and made me extremely uncomfortable. At that point, I was so uneasy with the entire experience that I lied and said I had another appointment just to get out of the chair. I left without a haircut and very upset. To the salon's credit, the owner personally reached out to me afterward, apologized, and promised to make it right. Although it couldn't be fixed immediately due to the holiday weekend and my vacation, they followed through... When I returned, Emma (my original stylist) was finally able to see me, and she did an incredible job. She corrected the color beautifully, gave me a deep shampoo treatment, and finally gave me the haircut I'd originally booked. She's professional, kind, and clearly knows what she's doing. I'm not writing this to bash Starz Salon. Mistakes happen but clients should never leave with burns, poor color, or feeling dismissed. That said, it's not about how you start, but how you finish and the salon made sure I was taken care of in the end. Thank you, Emma and the team, for turning it around.

My hair was literally SMOKING because of whatever chemicals they decided to use. My scalp feels like it has multiple cigarette burns... And the worst part is that after I spent seven hours there my hair, which was supposed to be blonde, is nothing more than a rats nest of gray! GRAY! It took three people 15 minutes to comb through my hair that was saturated in conditioner. It normally takes me less than two minutes. My hair is now brittle and broken. To top things off the owner had the audacity to charge me more for this mess than what I paid before! She wanted me to pay $230 when I paid $200 and it included a haircut last time. The hairdresser had the audacity to tell me that my hair was Orange, which is why it turned gray. It was definitely not orange and I hadn't touched my hair since the last time I went to this same salon back in March. I used their products. The owner's response to my hair smoking was that it was normal! Never in my life have I ever had my hair nearly catch fire from coloring it. I walked out. I will definitely never be back! Last I checked, if the price is incorrect they should let costumers know, it was of no fault of my own. I explained to the owner the situation she said I was wrong and that was for another salon, should her the address, and even the picture of the outside of the place. She didn't know how to respond, and walked to the back of the Establishment. They charged my card for 30 dollars, and gave me back a 5 dollar discount in cash. Gave back the money and Let them keep the 5 dollars. Not sure I'd go back. Even thought the actual hair cut was good, but it felt like I was been robbed and the owner did not care at all. Just walked away and expected me to be ok with it. If you go there you might be pleased with the results, just make sure you ask the price before you have anything done. There is an awfully comfortable couch up front, which i've fallen asleep in many times. Mickey is a master hair designer and, in addition to doing great cuts/colours, is also remarkably good at repairing bad colours from other places. I have very thick, coarse, wavy hair. He smoothed it with the cut and style- it is now soft, straight, and lies smoothly. He did not even need to use a flat iron, because he is so good. I love my hair now! Also, he and his wife are such nice people. You can tell they are honest and they don't overcharge.
