My heart is broken. After 6 years as a client I went in to get my nails done on Sunday. One of the ladies put my hands to soak in a bowl of acetone for 20 minutes and left me there. Then the owner came back and started the dip powder process and left me to work on another client. I sat there waiting for almost an hour in tears. She came back and sort of finished the job but with a very thin application. She then went to put the UV light on me and dropped it on my fingers. I have already broken the tips of 2 nails and had to file them down and my fingertips are still all dry and wrinkly from soaking that long in acetone. 2 days later. I paid and tipped well. Then I vowed to go somewhere that would treat me like a valued customer. I am so sad. read more

This place has absolutely horrible customer service and clearly does not know what they're doing! I got a "gel" pedicure, and a few hours later the gel had mostly come off. Due to my work schedule, I was unable to go in to have them fixed so I kept trying to call for a solution. I was told I had to speak to the owner, Katie. I called 4 times in the span of 3 days, and was told each time I'd get a call back, which never happened. Not to mention the fact that I was hung up on before I could even except a callback. After spending almost $100 on this service, you would expect at least an apology and some effort to make things right. This was my first and last time ever going to this poor excuse of a salon. read more

Been coming to Katie's for about two years now and it is always a top-quality experience. They are hands down one of the best spots in town and their services are affordable. Their gel pedicures are relaxing and always come out perfect. Their gel manicures turn out beautiful every time and me last 2+ weeks. All the staff are pleasant and professional and go above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. I appreciate that they stay open until 7 so you can get your nails done after work. Poor service even for regulars. I grew tired of the inconsistencies and bad attitude. I would not recommend this place for anyone. The owner is the rudest of them all, she answers text messages while doing your nails and she leaves numerous times with no explanation. I will never return. read more

They insisted on charging my ten year old granddaughter as an adult because she's tall (and beautiful). In addition to be very rude in the process. For the extra $8 she received, she lost four customers in my family. Very bad business behavior. We would never go back! read more

I have gone here for about 2 years now and the staff are all so great. My nails usually last a while but being that I am a hands on security officer I do tend to break a nail or 2 on occasion. They are always great about fixing them when it happens. And they come out looking great. I usually do a walk-in because everytime I try to call, I cannot get anyone to answer the phone. It rings and then states I can't leave a message ‍ but they are great about taking walk-ins too... thank goodness since I do not know if any other way to get a hold of them. read more

I am a gardener so manicures are very few and far between, to say the least; however, I thought I'd splurge on a "buff" manicure to show off my shiny new engagement ring. According to the menu of prices, a basic manicure is $15- and, happy day... I look up to see a GIANT sign hanging just outside boasting: 15% - 30% Off All Services! My math skills are pretty rusty but I figure on spending about $13 (plus tip). Everything was going swimmingly until the manicurist pulled out her handy-dandy Dremel. "No thank you". I'd like to keep the keratin on my nail plate, no need for the electric sander. But she insists, it's a buffer. Because she's already worn down my resolve with her relentless attempts at up-selling, I shrug, knowing that this is not going to end well. When it was all said and done, my nails did, in fact, look great; however, not for the the expected $13 menu price (and BIG sale). Please pay $18 because that was the old menu; our new prices go along with our new name. You know what also goes with "our new name"? Wafer-thin nail plates and a fungal infection. Bad math aside, my dalliance with Katie Nail & Spa ended up costing $67.50: $20 (manicure), $15 (over the counter nail hardener for peeling nails), $7.50 (prescription anti-fungal medication), and $25 (co-pay for doctor visit to get prescription medication). Friend saw the 15% - 20% off any services and suggested we try them out. One friend was paying with a card and they gave her full price. When she state the sign said 15% - 20% off, they said it was cash paying customers only. My nails were a simple Valentine's request, with little hearts painted on. The hearts looked like blotch sheet tests and were so poorly done I ended up painting black over them and liking them more. read more

Shady administration - decent pedicure My mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate to take my 9 and 10 year old daughters here for pedicures. She purchased two children's pedicures and one basic adult pedicure and included the tip - $70 total. I called and reserved a Friday slot for the three of us - making clear it was THREE pedicures. Upon arrival on Friday, I discover that only ONE technician is available, despite being told they would have capacity for three pedicures. When we **FINALLY** check out (an hour and 22 minutes later....really) Katie tells me that one of my daughters is not a child and she would not honor the prepaid rate. ??????? huh??? Confused, I ask for clarification. How are my kids not kids? (Neither one is even developed or wears makeup) . She tells me that my ten year old fourth-grader is too tall to qualify for a child's rate but because my nine year old is short, she will honor the price. So then she tells me that I owe $2.28 more ???? At this point (note, we've been there for almost an hour and a half despite having a reservation) I pay it. Then I realize the tip my mother in law left was taken by Katie with her higher prices...so I leave an additional $10 b/c I don't want the manicurists to get stiffed.... So for 2 kids and 1 adult (BASIC pedicures - NO upgrade) it's $82.28 Ridiculous - but I just wanted to get out of there at a certain point. I am giving 2 stars b/c the technicians themselves were good. Katie just does shady math and booking. NOT going back. read more

I got a manicure done with dip, and it started shipping that same day. I am extremely upset because it was very expensive. The application was not good. And like I said it started chipping immediately and now my nails look terrible. I don't recommend going here because it is expensive and the dip nails do not last. read more

I am sharing this to be very honest. I don't share it lightly as I believe everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, however I am very disappointed with the services we received. When we got there i was rushed as I was trying to get signed in, then told to go sit down when I was not signed in. I did acrylic nails and after a week one has already lifted, I get my nails done regularly (normally at a different salon) and they never lift after just one week. My best friend did Dip Nails, they didn't do them right, when asked about it they told us that we were wrong. After one week her dip polish has already chipped and that is also not normal. After she was done, they came up to her and told her she needed to pay right then. At the register they said they don't want cards to be used, and pointed to the ATM inside, they informed my best friend that there was no charge to use the ATM, she pulled out cash and paid. It was not true that there was no fee as she has a fee on her account from the ATM with drawl. Having my nails done is something that is very important to me and I take seriously. I know the hard work that goes into doing nails and never want to put anyone down but there was nothing good about our experience or quality of service we received. read more

I made my appointment with Ann who in my opinion, is "one of the best" Nail Artists I've ever had! She fixed my nail and while I was there decided to do all my nails with "powder dip". This is my third time here and I really like this place. I took my daughters here today and they had an amazing experience too. The service here is incredible and they don't rush through anything. This was an overall, strange experience. I went in with acrylics and requested a full gel set on my natural nails. The tech cut the acrylics on my left hand only. She then tried to rip the acrylics off which, as most people know, doesn't work, is super painful, and leaves the nails in horrible condition (which is a problem on its own but even more so since I asked for gel on my NATURAL nails). When I told her that she was hurting me, she soaked my nails in acetone which I feel should have been done from the get-go. Then she started the polish. She applied 4 coats to my right hand and only 3 to my left. So not only the length of my nails do not match, but now neither does the color. When it was time to check out, she did not give me a total and instead leaned over the counter, said "how much did you give me" and tried to take the cash from my hands. The color chipped the next day. I called to see if they could fix it, which they agreed to do. I went in and was told to "go somewhere else for 30 minutes and then come back."
