Ninja Deluxe awesome as usual, banzai bites crispy and delicious and great fries. I recommend the wasabi mayo and curry mayo, really delicious. I'm a bit upset that they forgot my curry fries, but I'll blame it on the pandemic going on, I'll mention it next time I'll go, will see if they make it up. Katsu burger is now a go to place for us anytime we are in Seattle area. This time we stopped by at Bellevue location and it did not disappoint. This is a smaller location than their original place. We placed order in the front through kiosk and it was ready in 10 minutes. As this was a small place, we decided to make this to go order. We ordered Godzilla Burger with tofu katsu patty. This was as delicious as I remembered it from my last trip 2 years ago! The sauces were so good and the tofu patty was crispy outside and soft inside. Super yummy burger. Yummy food, but watch out for food poisoning! My boyfriend loves Katsu Burger and insisted that I try it. He had only gone to to the Federal Way location prior to this, but we were closer to Factoria at the time and thus decided to try out this location. I liked the burger and loved the fries -- I ordered the Ni-ban combo with the Tokyo Burger, sea salt fries, coleslaw, and hot tea. The fries were probably some of the best I've ever had; seriously, they were THAT good. So, why the 3 stars? 1) Later that night I fell victim to food poisoning. My boyfriend and I pretty much had the same meal, except he ordered a pork burger and I ordered a beef burger. I also had coleslaw, which came with my meal but not his. While I can't say for certain which part of the meal was responsible, it resulted in quite an unpleasant rest of the night. (My boyfriend told me after I ordered that "no one gets coleslaw at Katsu Burger," so if anything, that would be my guess for the culprit.) The only other food I'd eaten that day was a homemade meal that I've eaten many times before, so I feel quite confident that the illness was a result of Katsu Burger. 2) There's very limited seating, probably 5-6 tables total. Luckily a table opened up soon after we ordered, but the cashier originally automatically packaged our order to-go. Apparently the Federal Way location has much more seating and is significantly larger. Would I try Katsu Burger again? I honestly feel like you can't go wrong with Katsu Burger. My go-to order is the Katsu Curry Burger with pork, and their nori fries with nori ranch. Before the pandemic, the only negative I would say about this specific location is the tiny amount of space for dining inside. I would always come to Katsu Burger knowing that there would be a 50/50 chance I would have to take my food to-go simply due to the lack of available seating inside. But honestly the food is just as good when you take it home, and dine-in eating isn't even an issue during the current pandemic. Katsu Burger has been one of my favorite places to grab a burger in the area! If I move back to LA, sure I'll be getting In-N-Out again, but there'll be a Katsu Burger shaped hole in my heart. read more

Katsu Burger was started by Hajime Sato, one of the most famous sushi chefs in all of japan, to bring his unique flair to food that anyone could afford. And thank goodness he did! Katsu Burger is a staple in the Seattle area and most everyone I know has been there at least once... so if you haven't, this review is for you! I first heard of Katsu Burger for their Nori fries. Nori fries are shoestring fries garnished with seaweed (taken from Nori sheets). Before I had gone, this was all that anyone ever talked about when Katsu Burger was brought up. To be honest, I don't actually like their Nori fries that much. Because of this, my initial impression was that KB was super overrated. I love my burgers spicy, so each time I've gone I get one that is packed with jalapeños or wasabi. The burgers are MASSIVE, tasty, and well worth the price. I've also found fries there that I like much more than the Nori. I've been to Katsu Burger Bellevue, Ballard, and Georgetown all multiple times and definitely would say the Ballard location is best. All-in-all I highly suggest you give Katsu Burger a try! Always a solid option. Food came out quick, much faster than the estimated time. It was still piping hot and they cut the burger in half for me. Personally the tonkatsu sauce is too much which overpowers the burger but the meat is always perfect and the fries! The nori fries are my favorite, crispy, greasy, salty and the curry mayo is amazing. I've never had a katsu burger before, so part of the draw is the novelty. I did find it super filling. I'm open to giving it a second try if already in the area, but I wasn't exactly left craving for more. Ninja Deluxe $9.95: I did ask for no tomato and pickles, but despite all the other stuff on it I felt like it wasn't as flavorful as I expected. The katsu was a bit dry, and it could've used more sauce in my opinion. Katsu Curry $8.95: I only tried a bite. I smelled the curry for sure, but didn't really taste it. But again in fairness, I did only take one bite. Fries $3.15: There's different seasoning options, and we tried the 12 spice blend. They were good, especially with the wasabi mayo. Korokke $3.75 for 2: AKA croquette. I found these to be pretty bland. Dipping in tonkatsu sauce helped a little, but I'd just pass on these if I come back. Me and my friends had some time before a movie so we decided to go for some dinner. I got the Samurai Select because I'm a sucker for pineapple as well as nori fries with nori ranch on the side. This burger is HUGE. It's delicious but it's definitely bigger than a normal person's mouth which did make for a bit of a mess while I was eating it. I enjoyed the burger but I will admit that I didn't notice the taste of the pineapple. The flavor just didn't stand out in comparison to the red onion or the occasional kicks from the wasabi mayo. It's a disappointment thinking back but I honestly enjoyed it enough while eating that didn't occur to me till now. The nori fries were good and did taste like dried seaweed which was cool. The nori ranch was pretty ordinary and just tasted like ranch while looking like it had nori flakes in. I feel the next time I go, I'll choose a different sauce. Raw red meat was most of my burger patty's condition. Except for the cooked edges the burger was not edible. They shouldn't serve uncooked meat for a frozen beef patty, this is not a steak. I accidentally ate while multitasking and had a stomach problem and threw up. This was ordered at 4pm today, they were not busy. I find the quality of the burger pretty poor overall too. I would say that this is an interesting take on a burger. They use cabbage instead of lettuce and a deep fried meat patty instead of grilled. I would say it was quite enjoyable, especially with a side of nori (seaweed) fries. I would recommend getting this combination for an enjoyable experience. We both had Tokyo classic now it was good all the parts separate. Love the Cole slaw it was probably my favorite part of the whole entire burger. It's so big that it was too dry. It need more sauce. The store front is very small has a few tables so don't plan on eating in. Service is good! They aren't very helpful on helping pick what you want tho. So read the menu. My husband loves this place. Nice place with pretty good burgers. Katsu is breaded cutlet i.e. deep fried goodness. The inherent umami and spiciness in flavorings like Miso and Wasabi really works well with the cutlets in a burger. Very reasonably priced as well with pretty large portions. I had the Miso Honey Tofu burger, but I think you can pick any burger with any of the katsu(beef, pork, chicken, tofu). Fries were decent as well, along with the wasabi mayo. read more

I decided to go to Katsu Burger last night, I've heard about it for a while now and decided I need to see what all the hype is about! My first impression walking into the restaurant was that it is a very small space. There is not much seating, but it is fine with smaller groups. It was fairly crowded when we were there with a line, but we still wee able to order fairly quickly and found a table. The staff here was very friendly. They have a nicely-sized menu with pretty much unlimited customizability, which is awesome! They were very good about explaining all of our options and the menu to us. I ordered the Ohayou Gozaimasu with sea salt fries on the side. The burgers here are all Katsu, meaning they are cooked and then fried. They are huge!!! My burger was alright, it didn't have much flavor and was sort of bland in that regard. Next time I think I will try a teriyaki burger or something with a stronger tasting sauce. The fries were very crunchy, not too bad though. I also got a chocolate milkshake here and that was really good! All-in-all it's a different take on burgers and I love how unique it is! When I first heard the name and what they serve here, Katsu Burger was high up on my list of places to eat in Seattle/Bellevue. It's a simple concept, throwing an American twist to a popular Japanese dish, but it works so, so well. With eyes far bigger than my stomach, I walked into Katsu Burger ready to get the full Katsu Burger experience. I ordered the Tokyo Classic as a first-timer with a side of nori fries and curry mayo with a kinako and black sesame shake - BAM. Go big or go home, right? Service was pretty quick - I got my meal in under ten minutes or so. On the other hand, I didn't expect just how big everything would be. HUGE burger, a TON of fries and a big ol' shake to top everything off. For a second, I worried whether or not I could eat everything (spoiler alert: totally ate it all). I started with some fries and dipped them in the curry mayo - a bomb combination. The fries were exactly what I imagined them to taste like and the curry mayo was a much more unique condiment to pair with the fries. I took a sip of the sesame shake - thick consistency, creamy and delicious. Then, of course, the piece de resistance - the mighty Tokyo Classic katsu burger. One thing you should know is that it's awfully big - which is great. The veggies inside the burger were fresh and the katsu was crispy and so luxuriously JUICY. I almost cried I was so happy. This Katsu Burger is, unfortunately, a bit far from me so I don't think I'll be making trips here too frequently, but if I'm ever in this part of Bellevue again... The fries on the other hand were great; the nori ones are my favorite with wasabi mayo or curry sauce. I think McDonald's is better unless you order the unusual flavors like sesame seed, chai or green tea.
