I'm giving them one star too many. They deserve negative stars! Once you buy the car from them, you are on your own. I bought 2015 crv from them and shortly after, my engine started idling to the point where my seats were vibrating like a massage chairs. After two visits to their service dept., two of the service rep and two mechanics sat in it and initially admitted that that vibration is not normal, but they now say there is "no fix" for it thus it is "normal. " Their service manager Leah Heron was so rude and she kept saying my seats vibrating is normal due to the type of engine in that crv and that I should have known before I bought it. She did not want to listen and basically told me to just get used to the problem. Called customer service manager and general manager but they don't call me back. Since they can't fix the problem, I asked to trade in with another crv but their sales manager tried to rip me off by saying I would have to make more down payment and pay higher interest rate. Basically, they wanted me to pay approx. $8000 more to trade in. They were all unprofessional and rude liars. Poor customer service! !!! Don't go there! You will regret! read more

This place has horrible business practices. We had been working with the dealership to buy a used car. We had the deal ready to go, given them the check for the vehicle, but we were just waiting to have them correct an error in the sales tax because we were in a different state before we received the car. In the meantime, while we were waiting for that they decided to sell the vehicle to someone else. When we called to complain someone there said yes the car was in the system to go to us but after getting the run around with different managers a female manager called us delusional that we spoke to someone earlier that said the car was suppose to go to us. Do NOT take your car here. I came in for a recall but also had a high pitch whine that I started hearing that I wanted them to check out. Outside of being rude when I asked if they would check that out and then informing me of their $135 diagnostic fee, they took the car back. Almost 2 hours later I was told my alternator was bad and that I needed to replace it for a total cost of $1100. That seemed ridiculously high so I started calling other reputable shops and kept getting estimates between $400-$600 all in with the 3 year warranty that Honda tried to use as an excuse as to why their price was higher. I told them I'm absolutely not paying which meant I had to pay the diagnostic fee. The very next day I took my car in to another shop and they can't find anything wrong with my alternator! I can't believe a dealership would be so desperate for business that they are willing to rip a customer off with $1100 bill that was completely uncalled for. I went to HCoK about three weeks ago to look at a 2011 Honda Fit. Ultimately I did not buy the car for reasons that will become obvious below. First, to be fair, the positives: (1) The people I dealt with were generally quite pleasant. (2) They did actually make me a fair offer for my trade in. This positive is offset dramatically by their other financial shenanigans, but still. (3) Ultimately I didn't end up wasting a great deal of time here. Partially that's because I had all the information I needed before hitting the dealership and could cut to the chase in negotiations, but at least they didn't spend a great deal of time trying to wear me down. Now, on to the negatives: (1) By far, this was the most ridiculously cliche car dealership experience I've ever had, so much so that it went from being irritating to positively funny. I had done my research before heading out so I had some idea what to expect, but I've never dealt with a dealership that was so relentlessly dedicated to such hamfisted sales tactics (e.g., having another salesperson come in looking for the keys to the vehicle under the ruse that someone else wants to test drive it, bringing out the sales manager to shake hands and say "sorry we weren't able to do business" only to have the salesperson then come running out to the vehicle as I'm leaving with a dramatically lower offer, that sort of thing). (2) The initial amount they were asking for the vehicle was roughly $2800 over MSRP (which someone who just walked onto the lot without doing some research beforehand wouldn't have known because they've removed the stickers from the vehicles). They never were willing to come down even to MSRP in their final as I was leaving offer, which is positively insane since they were aware that I knew the MSRP, holdbacks and incentives. (3) In doing my research beforehand, I noticed quite a few suspicious reviews on other sites. People from other dealerships are clearly guilty of this sort of thing as well, but I consider it a bad sign, and I find it especially worrisome when they can't even manage to be somewhat subtle about it. All in all, I'm sure that most will be able to find a better deal elsewhere. Do avoid this dealership if you can. read more

When we picked up the plates the registration receipt showed a trade in on this deal; the problem is there was no trade. The problem is $0 was paid in taxes when I was charged $1196.91 for taxes. With dealers doing transactions like this where they are collecting tax and then when they go register a vehicle they throw a trade on the deal to negate the tax due could potentially cost the State of Texas thousands of missed tax dollars each year. I shared this story with a dealer friend of mine and he stated said it sounded "sketchey". He went on to say how has heard of other dealers doing this to bypass the tax due on a lease and that they do this when a lease is turned in and the client does not purchase another vehicle so the dealer has an extra car so they throw it on a deal to negate the tax due. Then the dollars collected for the "supposed tax due" never ends up being paid to the Counties and State." read more

Stay away from this dealership if you do not want to have a huge disapointment with your new car. I went to buy my new 2015 Odyssey and when I received the Minivan, there was a lot of dirt inside the car. The sales person told me to come back later to clean the dirt because the people who clean the cars were very busy. Second situation, after 800 miles the steering wheel system was broken, I requested a new car but they denied since they told me "You are under contract". I called the sales manager and he had a "great" idea, he told me that the solution could be to sell them my car back and buy a new one, but I was going to pay 100 more dollars for the same model. I was speachless with his lack of criteria and offer with NO sense at all..... I thought he was jocking. After that, I went to the dealership to talk with him about my situation and his no sense proposal, and he told me "I am going to ask you to leave the dealership", and I asked him why? He said, because you have been disrepectful. I told him, just because I told you that your suggestion did not make any sense you are kicking me out? He said, yes...Now about my car, I called Honda US to complain about the situation and the defect , they said that the dealership was independent and that they were sorry about the defect in my new car, but as a compensation for the defect they could send me a 350 usd gift card that could be used at any Honda dealership. Guess what, the gift card did not work at Katy Honda, the person at the front desk told me that the system did not accept the card and that I had to use my personal card to buy an accesory. I called Honda USA and they apologized, that they were going to check the problem with the dealership....,again the problem was not resolved. I received a call from the Service manager and he told me that he was going to refund me the amount once the system accepted Honda gift cards... .it has been a month and not a call from him. Now....about the mechanical problem, they fixed the problem of my "New" 800 miles 2015 Odyssey, but guess what..when I received the car..the pilot seat was all full of dirt. As today, the car has 3000 miles and this morning I have another problem, the car is leaking fluid. When I called the dealership they told me they were sorry but they could not take my car until later next week....It is very clear that this dealership does not have quality controls to verify that the car does not have any defect before they sell them, also a lack of control to keep the cars clean when they are working with them and it is also clear the lack of common sense from the sales manager. The only person trying to help is the Service Manager. I am giving you my experience with this dealership to avoid you very frustrating situations if you are going to buy a new car. read more

I called the service department to get an estimate on a/c work. When the employee answered the phone he never identified hisself. I told him I wanted to get an estimate. He waited and didn't say anything. I thought he hung up but then he said "and". I told him the vehicle I had and he quoted me a price. I asked about another part and he said that my car didn't have that part. I said, "oh I thought it did." He said no, but in a very condescending way. It was like he wanted to say "duh". Before I could ask another question he hung up the phone. He was very rude and appeared to be irritated. If I could give 0 stars I would. To start, I'd like to say the main reason I came back to Honda, and more importantly to this dealership, is because of Isaiah! I had leased a car in 2011 and the service I got from ALL involved was so pleasant. This experience was even better! I had an appointment with Isaiah at 4:00PM. I arrived at about 3:45PM and her was ready for me. We talked for a bit about what kind of car I wanted and he went and got the keys to both styles. I test drove the one that was available in the color and model I liked. After that we went in and I was met by Dwain. He sat down with me and I went over what I wanted to pay and that I didnt want to play any games or be there for longer than I needed to. Needless to say he got me the deal I wanted and into finance I went. The guy ( sorry i cant remember his name :( )who did all my paper work was just as nice as the others i had dealt with so far! We purchased a used car for our son from Honda Cars of Katy. We live in Sugar Land but we found the car on cargurus.com and it looked one we were interested in. Our salesman was Simon Dyenzo. We liked him. Typical car place - it was slow process agreeing on a price. We finally got a price that we were happy with. We were paying by check but still had to meet with finance. The finance guy was new and explained all of our options (Extended warranty and other stuff). We politely declined. However his boss came in and tried to do the hard sale. He was very pushy and we came very close to just leaving. Part of our final price included all weather mats. After we got home, we discovered that the tire jack, and tool kit were missing - very strange. The person that had the car before us leased it. We assume that they just kept it. I called Simon who said that there would be a jack waiting when we picked up the mats. Less than a week after we purchased the car we received a phone call that our mats were in. I went to pick up the mats and no jack. Since we live about 30 minutes down a toll road, I was disappointed. The parts guy told me to come and pick up the jack the next morning. The next day I once again drove 30 minutes down a toll road to pick up the jack. The jack was there but not the other 2 missing pieces - very frustrating. I now have to go back a third time to pick that up. Good thing is that we like the car. If I found a car that I really wanted, I would go back to there but otherwise probably not. read more

Nice that this service is free with car purchase BUT I've been waiting for about 75 minutes- with multiple bays open and at least 5 techs sitting around eating lunch while my truck sits untouched ... Supposedly because it is a "non Honda". Never had this issue before but feeling a bit irritated at the lack of professionalism and concern for my wasted time. Today I had a sad and disappointing experience with Honda Cars of Katy. On September 26 2017 I leased a new Honda Civic EX-L with navigation. In the past two years i have leased three vehicles and bought one from Honda Cars of Katy for my family as well as trading in two cars for resale by the dealership. I have been a loyal Honda owner since 1979 and have purchased or leased at leased 13 Hondas in the past four decades. After driving less than 500 Miles in my brand new Civic the brake hold failed and my car breached my garage door after having turned itself off without my knowledge. I have gone through a long process with American Honda and Honda Cars of Katy to try to resolve this intermittent problem that could have life threatening implications. After all was said and done, American Honda and the dealership did not do ANYTHING to make the situation caused by a vehicle defect right for me. All they cared about was their short term financial gain. Loyalty meant nothing nor did my commitment to the brand. I WILL NEVER purchase another Honda from HONDA CARS OF KATY TX and I STRONGLY discourage ANYONE to buy a car from them. They are not reputable. I ended up walking out the door and taking my damaged brand new vehicle home. I will have to go through my car insurance and NEVER use the brake hold again. On the internet there a lot of complaints nationally about intermittent electrical problems with 2016 and 2017 Civics but these complaints are falling on deaf ears. I hope someone doesn't have to die for Honda to perk up and pay attention to what are very serious electrical issues. BTW I'm an experienced user of the brake function and have not ever had a problem until this brand new vehicle. I wish I didn't have to write this review but I must let you all know what happened to me to avoid a loss of life and to get the corporation and the dealership to step up and do right thing. read more

I walked in very skeptical and immediately laid it on the line to Rene, the sales rep that approached me. I quickly let him know what my current monthly payment is & what I owed on my trade-in because I didn't want to waste his time or mine spending HOURS haggling and trying to negotiate the impossible. Well the 'impossible' happened. Between Rene, Tiffany and Stephen, I drove in with a 2012 Honda Accord & only an hour & a half later they facilitated me driving out with a 2017 Honda HRV! I have recently been disappointed and frustrated with the Express Service at Honda Cars of Katy....That being said, Greg Miller the Express Service manager took my issues and completely changed any negative feeling/views I had for the better. I will admit that I was a complete ass to him during a phone conversation but, he stayed calm, collected and professional. The sales rep Faheem came back to me and told me that he would match the written offer from the Honda of Spring and that he had checked with his manager on this. Then he told me that he would beat any counter offer. I just heard from the sales manager that Faheem lied to my face. No one had actually run the numbers. They were never going to give me that price. The sales Manager Robert, told me they would never be able to come close to that deal and didn't believe anyone could. while I appreciate his honesty, it doesn't change what happened. They are pulling classic car dealership bullshit. In my mind they should honor the price the sales rep quotes and let him deal with it. I can't believe I bought a car here. I understand the need for a salesperson to make a sale but this was ridiculous. The only reason I bought from this dealership was bc my newborns grandparent's were in Katy, My old car had been totaled and I needed a car ASAP. First off we go in, I already knew I wanted a Honda Civic. I wanted to test drive it first to be sure, but I also wanted to check out one other dealership for a different car. We told the salesperson UP FRONT what our plan was. Well he took my drivers license and did a credit check and stuff. Then when we told him we wanted to look at another place he said well just talk to the financial guy. They were signing us up for a car when I didn't want to. So I was just going to walk out. Then the salesperson claimed he didn't have my license and called me rude. Spoke with two managers finally got my license back after 3.5 hrs of being there. We went back to speak with the manager, and she offered free oil changes. Today I go to a dealership to get an oil change... nope not on there. After the whole experience, I would never refer anyone to that dealership. The salesperson was horrible, the service was horrible. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Disgusted -- I brought my dad's Honda to have it repaired and they quoted over $6300!! I immediately went to pick it up, paid Honda for the diagnostic fee and brought it over to Christian Bros up in Spring at a friend's recommendation. Christian Bros fixed it for less than $500, with a 2 year/24K warranty!!! They promised that although they wouldn't be the cheapest, they would be honest in diagnosing the problem, and that's exactly what they delivered. The car is still running smoothly 2 months later and I am so glad never to come back to this dealership. read more

Let me start off by saying that our sales person, Abby was awesome!! We went and test drove one vehicle and really enjoyed working with her. She was the reason that we went back to look at another vehicle. She was great with my young step daughter. However, her boss, Javier was horrible. He lied about the internet price of the car that we were interested in and the reason we came back. Abby was going back and forth with him about the price. Abby tells us that he said we had to pick one of the three services. Nitrogen for tires(which is a rip off!), lifetime oil changes, or data dots, none of which we needed or wanted. Javier comes over with an arrogant smug attitude, telling us the reasons we should buy the vehicle at that price. Remember he lied about the internet price and I had to show them their internet price to prove it. He was rude, condescending, and off putting. We walked out. Abby called saying that she had found another vehicle we were interested in, but by this time we had already bought one from Mac Haik Chevy. Mac Haik was awesome!! Go see Moe and Ernesto!!! We received many phone calls from Katy of Honda asking if were still interested in a car. My wife told them we had bought a car and proceeded to tell them why we were unhappy with Katy of Honda. The lady blew my wife off and didn't seem to care. This is indicative of the low level of customer service that is present at this dealership!! read more

BE CAREFUL DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. One of the worst, if not THE WORST, dealerships I've been to. We bought a car on Labor Day (09/03/2012), and the finance guy Justin told us that since it was a holiday, the paperwork would be processed the next day and we'd get it in the mail within a week or two. Guess what? -Not until five weeks later, plus numerous phone calls, did we get to see the paper work. Everytime I called and talked to someone (Justin included), we were told that the issue would be taken care of. Liars ! - They made us finance with CapitalOne, and when the bill came, SUPRISE ! We had been told by the same finance guy Justin when we bought the car that because of the extended warranty we purchased, he'd throw in the GAP insurance for free (we have full-coverage for all of our cars). Guess what? --He included that amount to our financed account! We wouldn't have found out about this had we not spent half an hour talking to CapitalOne and had them break down all the fees for us. So what I'm trying to tell you? -Please read all the negative comments, and you'll find a pattern. If you find a good deal there, take it. But me advice is, BE CAREFUL with the calculation and the paperwork they throw at you ! Tell them to explain every single detail, and don't let their rushing make you uncomfortable. If it goes over your head, ask them to explain again. Ask them to list out all the fees, how much the balance will show up on the account, and how much you'll have to pay each month !!! And you can request a different finance guy if you want. It's your money, so don't feel obliged. There are other places that would value your business more. read more

Update: In response to my complaint at the BBB, the Honda Cars of Katy offered to reimburse $365 of the $540 speed sensor repair (which I still believe didn't need to be performed in the 1st place). I don't recommend this dealer, especially their finance department. Don't expect good service after your purchase. I am entitled some insurance refund after refinancing a car I purchased, a 2015 Honda Civic. The dealership promised to help with the papers but in fact they failed to send all of them. When i called the insurance companies after a month wait, there were documents missing, although we filled out the forms and i got a copy of them. When i called up Honda Cars of Katy and talked to a manager, he made it clear to me that I will not have further help from them. I don't want to mention any names here. After this unnecessary wait, I will loose money on this. Ironically, I can have better service on a $100 electronic gadget. I am looking for a place now were i can have good service on the car. I am a fan of Honda. Last week I considered a new car for my family and the 2016 Honda Pilot was our first choice. I visited 2 Honda dealerships before I made a final decision. I went to Spring Branch Honda in I-10 at first to take a look the new car. I did not have a test ride because I was an easy customer. The salesman offered me the good price after our negotiation in 30 minutes. I left there and went to Honda of Katy in order to find a better deal. At Honda of Katy, I came in and stayed in 30 minutes without help from the staff. Nobody asked me about my business. It was so bad. Then I was almost leaving, a female receptionist finally welcomed me as a customer. I told her that I was looking for a 2016 new Pilot and she requested a salesman for me. He was a tall and white guy wearing a suit. His name was Walters. After looking at me from my head to my toe, he asked me: "You want to buy a new car?". I answered him: "Yes". And you know what he said to me: "Today?" I said: "So what?" with my bad feeling. He might think I came there for fun and play without any business. His tones was unrespectful and discriminating. I am a young Asian. He could think he would waste his time for me on that day. After getting my information, he offered me a higher price than the previous dealers. It was not a problem to me because I could negotiate about the price later. However, the salesman's discrimination and disrespect made me uncomfortable. Our talk was an debate, not a sale talk. When I could not keep calm anymore, I said thank you to him and left. At 6 o'clock on the same day, I returned to Honda Spring Branch to purchase the Pilot. They were very friendly and nice although I was their last customer. We finished our business at 22:15. I will never recommend Honda Katy to my friends and my family. read more

By far one of the worst dealer service shops in Houston - Some of their so called service advisers (Peter Morgan, in this case) will write the ticket and promptly forget about you - it took two reminders and almost two hours for an oil change - and when I asked about the inordinate delay, I was told my 'Advisor' was not available - I am surprised that any one would consider coming here given how expensive they are and how horrible the service is. read more

on the 20 the car dearlership called my husband told him the car was ready to be picked up the car was below empty and the steering wheel is shaking after they replaced the column steering Tiffany Lively and Dwain Davis told me the car is in the condition its in because of the review and refused to fix it until I signed a statement saying I will never write a bad review for their dealership Dwain Davis also told my husband and i he was the General Manager on there web site it says hes just a New Car Director  Tiffany Lively called me this morning and told me again if i take the review down they will fix the car whats not on my previous review is Monday February 10th someone called my husband saying he sent the wrong pay stub and to send the most recent my husband told them ok i will send you one Friday February the 14th the person said ok just get it to them sometime this week i went up there Thursday February the 13th to check on the car the the survice department told me i bought the car as is and cant do any thing about the popping noise i went to Ricky Smith told him i felt and never herad from him again i then had to start dealing with Tiffany Lively who told me i could not leave with the rental car they loaned me or my Honda odyssey  because they didn't have my husband pay stub and i didn't own the car until she received the pay stub i told her since i don't technically own the car they would have to fix the popping noise she yes she would wright a we owe you and fix it i was stranded for 3 hours with my children waiting for her to wright a we owe you slip about the popping the loaner car they provided me a 2013 Honda pilot that whined as if it was low on oil had a huge stain in the passenger seat and the previous persons mail in the passenger seat as well in the Honda pilot everyone guaranteed there was nothing wrong with the Honda Odyssey showed us the car fax that says Honda cars of Katy did a thorough inspection there dealership sold me a car that popped when i turned and are now refusing to finish fixing the column steering which is now causing the steering wheel to shake and put 500 extra miles on my car on Google reviews the dealership has 288 Bad reviews about how they treat there customers please do your research as I said before I highly do not recommend this dealership read more

Bait and switch. They emailed us a quote that we were comfortable with, but didn't tell us until after the test drive that there were also $2,000 worth of dealer-installed add-ons, pushing the car way out of our price range. They knew we were driving down from Austin and could've saved us hours by being up-front with this information, particularly considering my wife had specifically asked the manager, Robert Lee White II, whether there were any extra fees not accounted for in the emailed quote (he never replied). Also, don't trust any good Google reviews -- one of the more recent 5-star reviews is from a "customer" who happens to have the same name as the person who emailed us our quote ("Hayley O'Neal"), and a lot of other 5-star reviews sound similarly questionable and were written by "customers" with no other reviews to their credit. There are, however, plenty of realistic 1-star reviews on Google, Cars.com, Edmunds, etc. written by people who had experiences similar to or worse than ours. I wish we would've read through those first. read more

Once again Honda Cars Of Katy has given me poor service. I was called last week informing me about a recall on my 2016 Honda. We made a appointment for 9:15 on a Saturday morning. We were told the work would be completed in two hours or less, WRONG! After two hours had passed, I went to the counter to get an update. The employee said she would check on it & let me know. So I'm sitting in the waiting area thinking this Air Head was going to let me know how much longer the wait would be, WRONG. So I go over to the counter again & then Air Head says oh you had two recalls so they are still working on it. I was very annoyed at this point. Why didn't someone tell me this initially because this is not what I was originally told. I ended up spending three hours there that I didn't plan for. My thing is I have had so many bad experiences with this dealership. When I bring my car for service I always see employees driving very fast & reckless in customer cars. I talked to a manager previously about this. This is my second Honda, but I won't be purchasing anything else from Honda Cars Of Katy because their service all around is Horrible & the staff are very unprofessional! read more

We are in the beginning stages of looking for a new van. We just wanted to see the Odyssey in person, just to look at the seat arrangements and get a general feel for it. We aren't even sure that's what we want. Just wanted to look at one. We went to Honda Cars of Katy and told them we wanted to see one. They took our info - fine. Asked some questions - whatever. Then made us wait for 30 minutes while they did who knows what. With 3 kids with us, that was not fun or easy. Finally, the sales woman told us to follow her down to where she pulled an Odyssey for us to see around the back. As we followed her, we walked right past an Odyssey in the showroom! Sheesh. Could have saved considerable time there. We looked at it and left. It's been about 4 days since that happened and we have received no less than half a dozen calls from them and four emails this morning alone! I'm getting an email every hour or so from various people and my husband continues to get phone calls. THAT alone makes me want to run away! Get a grip, Honda Cars of Katy. read more

This place is a rip off. I normally go to a different Honda. I went in for an oil change and as usual they had all these other things that needed to done. I allowed them to change my coolant and put an new filter. They told that they checked the tires and it is also listed on my paperwork. Not even two days later the tire pressure light came on. i understand the tire pressure light! I have had my care for 3 years and the tire pressure has only been twice. My tires were not low. I watched them tell someone they had a nail there tire and needed to fix it the day I was there. The first thing he said to me was the change in pressure and temp. The temp did not change. The second thing was you might have a nail in your tire. They did not check my tire pressure and the only nail would be the one that put in there. I will never go there again. This was a terrible buying experience (or attempt). We were excited about a car we had just test drove that we thought would meet our needs. However, from the get go, the salesman started playing games. To begin with, he starts with a price significantly above msrp for "add ons" that the dealer puts on all cars, but are not necessary and of little value to me. He asks me for a price and acts offended at my figure (old, lame sales tactic). After a half our of back and forth, he comes back saying he can make the price work with a lease. Rather odd considering I didn't give him a monthly payment target. Anyway, he was unwilling to share any actual numbers or print outs, he just kept jotting numbers down on a paper and showing them to me, but not showing the math. The funny thing is the lease payments he was showing me was with more money down and much higher monthly payments compared to what is on Honda's site... when I called him on it, he pulled his manager in. The manager/supervisor gave me other lame excuses until I had just had enough. They were trying to put me in a lease with very high money factor (the equivalent of interest rate) without even running my credit, which is excellent. They are either dishonest, prejudice against some types of people, or, worse, both. I test drove there due to the convenience of their location, but I would NEVER EVER buy from them. I just moved to Houston and since I have a Honda Pilot that still under warranty and was giving me trouble I was driving by and saw Honda Cars of Katy and decided to take it in and see if they could help me with the issues (mind you in order to get a loaner car you have to have a appointment and I didnt). I needed a loaner car since I am here in Houston with my children while my husband is a soldier stationed in Ft. Hood so I could get to and from work and also to pick up my children. I walked in to the Services Department and was greeted by DAPHANE PIERCE. What a outstanding lady....she went above and beyond to help me and she sure made my day. I could have not asked for a better service advisor. She is awesome and will take care of you andf will help you with anything you need. She said if you need antything please let me know and gave me a hug because she knew how frustrating it can be being alone in a new city. The service guys lie try to upsell. They try to scare you into repairs! Went in for a reg oil change and the service advisor told me I needed to get my brakes replaced right away because it was at 2mm. I shopped around and found that Honda Cars of Katy was cheapest out of any other Honda dealers so I went back there to get my brakes replaced... I get there and talk to the same service guy and he tells me the price he quoted me didn't include everything that I needed so he try to upsell me(which is why they were cheap when compared)...I knew what others had quoted me so I decided to go to Goodson and they tell me I don't need my brakes replaced because they are at 4mm....I call back Honda Cars of Katy and inform them that they are doing shady business and that I will be reporting them. The service manager assured me its not possible that they could be that off....so we decided to get a 3rd opinion from John Eagle Honda and they told me the same thing Goodson did. After wasting hours of shopping around and visiting different dealerships my trust with Honda Cars of Katy is a total loss. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone! read more

Classic BAIT AND SWITCH scam here. I had been in email contact with this dealership for a couple days. I emailed the buyer's order that I walked away from, showing list price, no fees for add-ons, TTL and total drive out cost. Tiffany Lively emailed me back and promised to honor that price on the same vehicle, and any negotiations for a lesser price must be done in person. I had EVERYTHING in writing. Tiffany flat out REFUSED to honor what she personally emailed me. Tiffany said my car did not have any add-ons and they attempted to look up my vehicle by the VIN number to confirm the add-ons but were "unable" to find it. They were either INCOMPETENT or LYING because it was listed on the other dealer's website that I was able to search on my own. They even "threatened" to call the other dealer. She didn't even have time for me when I drove out of my way to visit the dealership. The only positive about this dealership was Simon, who actually showed me the car. He was nice and informative but it's unfortunate that management here is extremely dishonest. read more

My husband went to look at a Civic Si there, ready to purchase with a trade in... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I'll try to condense his experience... they took 3 days to get him a REAL quote (not "Oh yeah... should be no problem to get it at $price). In the meantime, they never called him back, even when they told him a specific time to expect the call back. William was his salesman, and while he was very nice and easy going, obviously communication is not his (or anyone else's) strong point. The only time my husband spoke to them was when he called them himself. Before they even got him the actual monthly payment amount they let him take the car for a couple days (he works at a shop and wanted to check it out there). He came in to bring it back and talk numbers (as they'd been planning for 3 days), and they made him wait for about an hour before someone came to speak with him. They quoted him a 20% interest rate when BMW had quoted him an 8% interest rate. The monthly payment was $200+ higher than the rate they said they could get him. They obviously got him in the car thinking he would fall in love and impulsively buy it without caring about the actual monthly payment... WRONG. My husband had to DEMAND his keys back. It was a waste of 3 full days time, and not only did the staff not care about the customer, they didn't even call him back... isn't that considering something like an auto sales crime... seems like all other dealerships won't STOP calling you! This is by far our WORST EVER dealership sales experience-- Unless you have time and money that you're looking to waste, do not visit this dealership. read more

So frustrated. Couldn't match a price I had from another dealership across town. It was fun to teach my son about the ins and outs of buying a car at this dealership. Their moves, waiting long periods of time while they "went and asked their manager" or "tried to find that model/Color on the lot", pulling sales managers in (thinking we would cave to a sales manager), trying to convince us they just couldn't match the price because there are $700ish microchips in the car and too many add-ons so their car is so much better than the car across town. Never heard of "data dot" and neither did any of the other dealerships I called. After I left and told them I now had to drive across town to purchase the base car (I told them I didn't want any upgrades in the car at all), they had the nerve to call me three more times that afternoon. This is your typical wheel and deal and song and dance dealership. Don't waste your time...and believe me a lot of time is wasted. read more

I went to the express service location of this dealership for a routine oil change. I was greeted by the most rude service rep who reached into my car and checked the oil service indicator as if I don't know when to get my oil changed. When my vehicle was ready he blurted to me what services needed to be performed on my car. He gave no explanation of cost or reason for the services he was "upselling" and walked out the door. The cashier explained he is sometimes that way. I immediately complained but I am pretty sure nothing was done. This was the worst customer service I have ever received and I can guarantee I will never get service or purchase a vehicle from a place that employs such rude and abrasive people. It couldn't have been a bad day for this man because the place just opened. I hate to see how other customers were treated later in the day. DO NOT buy a car from this dealership. Sent email request and received a drive out price. Called back and explained theirs was not the lowest and asked if they wanted to resubmit. I was told that they would meet or beat, and bring the other quote. I did. I was met at the curb by a sales person who walked me to the front desk to ask for the Internet staff member. Found out later you must go through a sales person to complete the deal. Exactly what I didn't want to do. After a test drive it was time to complete the deal I was given. But lo and behold the numbers started to change. They do not honor their Internet pricing, and Tiffany, the tower manager who drives the deal, does not shutter to insult the customer. She is an arrogant, unfriendly, dishonest person. Her reasoning for not honoring their quote or meeting the better quote was a disclosure of dealer extras that was already listed in the drive out price in the better quote and proceeded to add $3k to the bottom line. Go to Spring Branch Honda. I got the same vehicle, less cargo mats, which I didn't want anyway, at the exact quote I was provided and the staff beats Katy hands down. Cannot wait to tell everyone how horrible Katy is and how great Spring Branch is. Tiffany-you are in the wrong business, you are more suited for a career as a prison matron than a job that requires customer service skills to compete! read more
