This is my first review on Yelp. I just had to leave one for this awesome Bakery! I heard about this bakery from my friend who had them make a 49ers cake for my birthday. And the cake was so good with marble and real strawberries! So I went to them for my cousins baby shower and I wanted a small 2 layer anchor themed cake for my cousins baby shower. At first they said they could only make it for 40 people and up. That was too much for her party so I went for a one layer, even tho I was bummed I couldn't get the 2 layer for her. When I came to pick up the cake they totally surprised me! They said they were able to do the 2 layer smaller after all. And they even put an anchor on the top of the cake for me! It was amazing and way better than the picture I showed them. My cousin and everyone at the party loved it! My cousin said it was the best cake she has ever had made for her. We ordered our wedding cake from here and we had an overall great experience. Their prices were great, they were very friendly and easy to work with, they delivered on time, and even gave us a break on the delivery fee since we were slightly out of their delivery range. We ordered a simple marbled cake with whip cream frosting, the cake arrived half white and half chocolate, not marbled, but we honestly didn't care. We would order from here again happily! read more

I was looking for a tres leches cake for my birthday, I googled and found this bakery. We ordered a week in advance they were very nice. BUT as others have said here the cake was not good. It was awful. It looked very pretty., but the taste sucked. Dry., bland no taste just bad. Not even our dogs would eat it. Very disappointed. We did give it to a homeless guy who was going thru our trash looking for pants and some food. He liked it. Won't be coming back. We got the 8inch tres leches cake for $23. The tres leches cake is so delicious and the perfect texture, even people who don't like tres leches cake fall in love with their cake! I've come to this place for pan dulce and never been disappointed. The staff is always nice and ready to help you with your purchase. So since their pan dulce was good I decided to give them a try with a cake... I brought in a picture of a sports cake that I wanted done but with frosting no fondant... they don't do fondant which is great! I got a HUGE two tier cake for 50 people (I'd say it was for 70 ppl) for $125 which I thought was great. They got every single detail off the picture and made it look waaaay better than the pic! I was amazed! My boys LOVED it!! The guests loved the look of the cake and when we got to cut it, they loved it even more. The bread is sooo sooo soft, the texture was just perfect. I got a chocolate tier with chocolate frosting and me not being a chocolate lover, loved it! The vanilla cake with fresh strawberries was my fav! It's just sooo good. You will not regret this bakery. This is definitely my go to bakery from now on. read more

When I went to the bakery to order my cake their service was very welcoming unfortunately I gave them one star because on the day of my party, my cake was not ready at the time they gave me. My cake was supposed to be ready by 5:00pm but instead my daughter had to wait outside for an hour. My party was at the park and everyone was starting to get impatient because they were waiting for the cake. It was very unprofessional to give me a certain time to pick up the cake and for ths cake to not be ready, really ruined my party plan. I asked to speak to the owner and they said she was going to be gone for one month, no wonder their service was not done correctly. I paid $85.00 for the cake and they only reimbursed me with $10 and free candles. Although my husband knows the owner since we always buy sweet bread and cakes, I will not go there again. read more

Every time I called to place a order the staff gives me a hard time to order special order of conchitas they want for you to place the order at least 24hrs ahead they Always put me on hold to check if they could take my order really is a business the other day I wanted 30 small conchitas I called at 8:30am I wanted my order at 6pm the lady told me in the phone we can't get your order that's not the first time this happens Not a great service I don't think I will go back read more

I ordered 2 cakes from Katy's Bakery for my daughter's first birthday party, one tres leches and one small smash cake. Prices were better than a few other places I checked out first; the half sheet tres leches was $60 (fed 60 people) and the smaller cake was $25 ($15 plus $10 to print a custom image). When I was getting some bread there was some type of bug on it. And the first breads on the first row of the shelf where all cold breads. The rest of the employees are very nice except for the one that served me. I would try to look at the bread for any bugs or flies, and to see what breads are hot and soft. Most of the days everything is nice and hot, but today I dont know what happened. read more

Great bakery! I went to them with an idea about " a baby in a shower " for my baby shower. They explained to me that they only worked with whipped icing and that they would be able to do the cake I would have to find my own topping. I was ready for the challenge after searching for what I wanted my mom decided it would be best to make it. She took the final topper to them and they made it all come together great! So the first time I had contact with this bakery, everything was phenomenal. The second time however, not up to par. When I went in to order another cake for my sister's birthday (she doesn't like cake - but she LOVED theirs), the women there weren't the ones that were there the first time around. They weren't nearly as friendly as the first girl that helped me with my order. They have a very limited selection for the design, and my sister wasn't crazy about any of them. She spotted a round cake with a Little Mermaid theme. We asked if we could have that and the woman then asked if it was one of the designs in the book, I said "No" and she said they couldn't do it. What kind of sense does that make??? You have a cake MADE in your display counter, but you can't make it when a customer orders it. I will say that she went to the back and looked through more designs and found another Little Mermaid design. But they couldn't make it round. Fine. Fast forward to the day of, I ordered the "marble" cake, when we cut the cake, it was all chocolate. Don't get me wrong. Their cakes are amazing. But I don't think I'll go back to them. read more
