This food was yummy! In my opinion the fried pickles were very overpriced, though. They tasted good but there just wasn't enough to justify the price. I've been a Katz customer for over 10 years until tonight. I ordered 2 Klassic Reubens for pick up, 45 bucks including tip that was the worst Reuben, missing the dressing, half the cheese and Pastrami and my cc was charged an extra 10 dollars. I did open one container before I left with order but it wasn't until we returned home that we realized after one bite, how awful the Reubens were. Manager's Solution was to return food for refund. That would of been ok, except we are both disabled and took an Uber to pick up. Katz is over rated over priced and worst customer service. At 54 dollars, I've had much better Sandwiches at Quizno's or Subway. Katz is not worth it. Oh, thank you Katz for the embarrassment of treating a friend. read more

The Worst! I ordered meals to be delivered by Uber eats to my friends, staying in Houston and visiting their daughter in a hospital. I wanted them to have Katz deli for Thanksgiving, especially having the turkey and dressing option. The meal was delivered, and there was no dressing only the turkey which was plain and dry. No sides. Wilted Salad and the other orders were incomplete. I called and spoke to the restaurant and the general manager. assured me I could re-order again paying Uber eats fees and he would ensure the new order would be better And mail me a gift card. Two of us each ordered matzoh ball soup. I had the pastrami on rye. My husband, the corned beef on rye. First and foremost, this place has nothing to do with the famous NY Katz's, though their decor and artwork might suggest otherwise. The matzoh ball was very good, but the chicken soup it was sitting in was so salty that it burned my throat. It tasted more like a bouillon cube than anything resembling chicken soup. My sandwich, at $21 didn't look or taste like genuine, steam table, sliced to order pastrami. It was like what you'd get from a supermarket deli. My husband said the corned beef was similar. Not terrible, but not warm, steam table, sliced to order corned beef. Our server was thorough, but annoying, as she repeatedly kept trying to upsell . When the manager happened by to ask how we were enjoying everything, I said, " since you asked, I will tell you that the chicken broth was extremely salty. Our sandwiches hadn't yet arrived or I would have had more to tell her. Later, after our sandwiches were delivered, she walked toward our table, remembered me, turned on her heels and walked away. 2 cups of soup and 2 sandwiches were just shy of $58. My hubs and I had been craving a good reuben so I went to get them to go. When I went in, I stood at the to go sign for awhile and nobody ever came so I went and sat at the bar. Two ladies had sat right before me and he was getting their order. It was only them and one other guy and me. Yes I know the bartender makes all the drinks but this dude obviously hates his job.
