Another solid spot for some har gow and fried rice! The fried rice was flavorful and decent portion size. The har gow was juicy and delicious as well

I was greeted very warmly when I entered the restaurant. I wish I got my server's name. I ordered shrimp fried rice. It came out about 15 minutes later; It was fresh and piping hot. Very delicious. 10 /10. I will definitely be back.

Our group had just attended an event at the Academy Museum and were famished. We walked a couple of blocks over to Qi Steam Kitchen. Luckily, they were able to combine two tables for us to fit our group of eight together. Everything looked good on the menu so we decided to order several items to share and get a taste of everything. We doubled up on some orders so that everyone could get at least their own piece. We got: * 2x Pork Xiao Long Baos ($14.85 each), * Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai ($15.25), * Crystal Shrimp Dumplings ($15.25), * 2x Scallion Pancake ($8.45 each), * Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken ($14.45), * Stir-Fried Gai Lan ($13.25), * Spicy Dan Noodle ($14.99), * Red Bean Paste Sesame Balls ($9.25), * Pan-Fried Pork Baos ($14.55), * Bowl of Steamed Rice ($2.50), * Egg Fried Rice with chicken ($15.49), * 2x Sesame Paste Baos ($7.55 each). A can of soda is $2.99 and they had ginger ale and Ramune for $4.99 each. They were also out of coffee, thai tea, and milk tea when we were there (maybe an hour before closing), which was disappointing as most of us wanted some sugary caffeinated drinks. Food was delicious though! What we had was more than enough for the eight of us! There is a small plaza parking lot that I believe is free, but it was pretty dark once we walked over and I was focused on food, so I couldn't really tell if there were enough spaces. Looks like there might be some street parking, though there was quite a bit of construction on the streets going on. Good option for a yummy meal if you are nearby!

We found this nice dumping place while apartment shopping. There is a small parking lot out front and I was lucky to get the last spot directly in front. We ordered the soup dumplings, pot stickers, and pork rice bowl. And washed it down with a Thai ice tea. They bring a water bottle and cups to the table which is a nice touch like you see at Korean restaurants but more rare at Chinese or Taiwaneae food. The food really hit the spot. I really wasn't sure what to expect. The restaurant was clean and the server was nice. The best part are the photos on the menu. Yes, I could figure out what each item is based on the description but I always like to see what I am ordering without having to pull out my phone to check Yelp. I know I am a weirdo. The food was reasonable priced and a great casual lunch spot.

Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Tasty but the oil was old so it had a strong fried flavor that overpowered the chicken

My son and I got the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and an 8-piece order of pork/shrimp dumplings. The dumplings were really tasty. I also really enjoyed their Szechuan chili oil. The oil was not too spicy and had a nice, mild flavor that didn't overwhelm the palate. The popcorn chicken was pretty average. It tasted okay but the oil was clearly nearing the end of its life so the oil flavor overpowered the chicken. The employee working up front didn't have a lot to do so he hid behind the register playing on his phone. A good place to try once time. Lots of soup dumpling places in LA yet to try!

Was in the mood for some noodles so checked yelp while on the road and found Qi Steam Kitchen! I ordered Dan Dan Noodles (spicy) and it was definitely a good pick! Umami flavor was amazing and while the spicy flavor wasn't super intense, it was very yummy. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering and was nice and warm. The actual restaurant was very clean and spacious. There was also a small parking lot that is shared with a few other stores nextdoor as well. Overall am happy I stumbled upon this quaint spot and would recommend giving them a try!

So freakin GOOD! I came here on a rainy day in LA, looking for some comfort food and it did not disappoint. I had the beef noodle soup and it had so delicious, the broth was tasty and well seasoned and all the pieces of beef were extremely tender. That was the star of the show, we also had the shrimp tempura, shrimp fried rice and the chicken soup dumplings. All amazing! We will be coming back.

The moment I walked in the door I was greeted and attended. I liked the quick service and cleanliness. I ordered the pork belly Buns and the beef & vegetable dumplings they were really tasty and made to order. I will definitely come back to try more dishes.

This place is pretty decent and a good option if you don't want to shlep to SGV for good dumplings. The pork xlb broth was a little fatty, but had nice thin skin. The vegetable dumplings were pretty good as were the meatballs. I'd come again, but it's not somewhere that's a MUST go.

Do they use MSG in the food?

No they don't. It's not listed in ingredients and I don't think they do as everything seems handmade.

Har gow wrapper was too thick/chewy and stuck together. Custard bun was dry. Shrimp rice noodle roll was just ok. The food was mediocre. Do yourself a favor and just make the drive to the SGV. Service was worse than could be expected. We were a table for 2 at 9:30AM on a Saturday. We didn't expect to be sat immediately, but we definitely did not expect for three walk-ins *after* us to be sat before we were. Parties of 3, 5, and 8 were all sat before us. I understand as a host, you must maximize space and seat according to size but seriously? They simply didn't want to waste a *whole table* on 2. After 25 minutes they sat us at a 6-person table in the back corner and she said, "You share this table," implying we would be a group table if another small party walked in. Then, no menu, no water, no napkins, no plates until we asked for each individually. Lo and behold, there were still at least 5 open tables an hour later, and we did not in fact need to have other parties join us... the food was definitely not worth this treatment.

For being located in the heart of Chinatown, would you expect anything less? The thing that I like most about this place is that I can get almost anything that I would order at any of the nearby fancier sit-down Chinese restaurants, but this place is built especially for quick / take- out = no tip needed. FOOD: Fried Shrimp Balls - 9.0 / 10 Up there with any Chinese restaurant's dim sum. Understandably smaller over the years. Pro-tip: heat these bad boys in the oven, toaster oven, or air fryer. Serve alongside sweet & sour sauce. Pork Shumai - 9.0 / 10 Again, up there with any of your typical sit-down dim sum place. Pro-tip: make an easy + quick sipping sauce with 1/3 soy sauce + 2/3 spiced white vinegar. You're welcome Shrimp Har gow - 8.9 / 10 One of the most traditional Cantonese dumplings. Incredibly light. If you plan to eat these later, I highly suggest steaming them as the outer skin can get dry. There's so, so much food here, but whenever I am in the area, these are my non negotiables. Seriously, it is such a life-hack to be able to do a "Panda Express" style order for more traditional Chinese / Chinese-American favorites without all the hoopla. Don't be surprised if there's a line, depending on what time of the day you go.

The freshness of the cucumber and herbs cutting through the rich sauce balanced it out. The pan fried pork buns however were rather forgettable. The meat was juicy but I was left wanting more flavour in both the meat and the buns. I also wish the bottoms were a bit crispier.
