    Tiger roll

First time here and we had to make it a family taste test Mom got the Tiger Roll, Dad went with the Golden Harbor Roll, and our son had the Crunchy Roll. Everybody was happy, which honestly deserves 5 stars by itself . The rolls were fresh, flavorful, and came out looking good. Our son definitely approved of the Crunchy Roll, and Mom and Dad were fighting over who had the better roll. Service was friendly and everything came out fresh. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to -- next time we're going to have to try some different rolls because there were way too many good choices on the menu! Good food, good vibes, happy family. That's a win in my book!

Kazukii Sushi has recently opened their doors for business. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry for $15.95 plus tax. The meal came with deep fried chicken cutlet, over rice, and served with curry and a side salad. The chicken katsu curry plate was no doubt a good looking plate of food. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The best part was the Japanese curry sauce. It offered a mild heat and great flavors and rich creamy texture. The rice underneath was well cooked and flavorful. The side salad came with a light and refreshing dressing. It was a simple salad, but very tasty. Next time, I plan to try their sushi rolls and sashimi. The plates I observed leaving the sushi bar looked amazing. The hospitality and service were both very good. The young ladies were very attentive and friendly. The Japanese eater and sushi offer a very good amount of floor seating and a very good sushi bar as well. Not outside seating is available.

Ok, so I went back to try the sushi this time. Got a lemon roll and the pickle salad, both delicious. The mixed sashimi, although pricey, was excellent quality - very much worth it. This might now be my new favorite neighborhood sushi joint!

Came in on a Monday for lunch. Saw this place on our way to the mall. Decided to check it out. Sushi was on point. Beef teriyaki lunch was so good I forgot to take a picture of it. Server was very attentive. They also have some cool murals on the wall. Would definitely come back again.

Came on a early Tuesday evening, although when first walking in it was a house to ourselves, the reviews brought me here, service was very friendly and quick. Halfway through our meal and we are enjoying everything! Glad we stopped by instead of going to chick fil a haha. They also have happy hour (20% of selected items and all alcohol)

Kazukii Sushi in El Cajon is out of this world. Drove down from Alpine to try it and it was worth every mile. Ordered the Crunchy Roll, Ocean Breeze Roll, Monkey Roll, Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, Shiro Ahi Roll, Golden Harbor Roll, Las Vegas Roll, Red Horizon Roll, and Sakura Roll -- all of it was super fresh and tasted delicious. The staff were also very nice and welcoming. If you're in East County and want quality sushi, this is the spot.

Ask the Community - Kazukii Sushi

I wondered if this restaurant is owned by Japanese? Are Sushi chefs Japanese? There are many sushi restaurants are owned by the Chinese and Koreans.

Thank you for asking! We're not Japanese-owned, but our chefs and team have spent more than 15 years working in Japanese restaurants and learning the craft of sushi. We take great pride in serving fresh, high-quality food and creating a welcoming…

A special thank you to Olivea, Monica, and Noska, who made my visit even better. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They made me a pistachio frappé exactly the way I wanted it, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had--rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a café with both amazing drinks and exceptional customer service, but Shaghf Café definitely delivers on both. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere, delicious beverages, and staff who genuinely care about making your experience memorable, I highly recommend stopping by. I'll definitely be coming back!

Rude staff and a very disappointing experience…read more My friend ordered a Lotus frappe, and unfortunately, it was not good at all. It tasted more like crushed cookies than an actual frappe, and she was literally chewing on pieces of ice. Since we've ordered the Lotus frappe here before and it was perfectly fine, we figured this was simply an issue with how the drink was made this time. I politely asked if the drink could be remade as a caramel frappe instead, since we knew that one was good. Instead, we were told, "We can't do that, you would have to pay." I'm sorry, but why would we pay again for a drink that was made poorly the first time? We weren't asking for a free drink just because we changed our minds. We were asking for the original drink to be corrected because it was genuinely not drinkable. What really made the situation worse was being told, "We're not a chain like Starbucks to just remake drinks... this will go to waste." Respectfully, if the concern is that the drink will "go to waste," perhaps the better solution would be to make sure the drink is prepared correctly in the first place. I understand that businesses don't want to waste product, but making a customer pay for another drink after receiving one that was poorly made doesn't exactly feel like great customer service either. I'm not expecting the "customer is always right" treatment, and I'm certainly not trying to be difficult. But when a customer genuinely cannot enjoy what they were served, the reasonable thing would be to offer a solution rather than essentially tell them, "Sorry, pay again." We've had good experiences here before, which is why this was especially disappointing. Hopefully this was just an off day, because the way this was handled left a much worse taste than the frappe did.
