Consistently good hookah, fair prices and good quality. Service is excellent, our server Rachel is awesome every time we come in she is so friendly and gets us what we need without a hassle. do NOT come here. the man pictured assaulted me and was extremely aggressive trying to keep me from leaving. I had walked in because the doors were wide open, and the man pictured saw me walk in as well. as I was in the bathroom, after 2 minutes the man pictured and 1 or 2 other people (there were 1 or two women) started banging on the door, screaming at me to get out. as I got out, he started screaming at me for dirtying the bathroom, which was a complete lie because the bathroom was already DIRTY. once he started yelling I walked out, because it was insane that employees were yelling at me for using an open bathroom, which they saw me go in. as I start walking to the door, the man ran in front of me and grabbed me by both shoulders, shaking me telling me to clean the bathroom. the woman at the bar and another server watched, and looked away as I made eye contact with them hoping they would help. as I started screaming back he finally let go of me, and stared at me as I left the restaurant (pictured) do NOT come here. Hookah? Yes please! Recommendations? As per my hookahtress (made up the word..don't take my word), try this flavor: Watermelon and mint on a bed of pineapple! Generous with the strength of the hookah and they were nice enough to refill it. Great chill vibe, tvs plastered on the wall blaring basketball, and hip hop/top 40 music playing on the background. This is a cozy date spot. The music is good. The hookah isn't good quality but its decent for $18/hookah and thats the cheapest price. The table decor is simple yet cute. My friends can't seem to get enough of Kazuza so I've ended up there plenty of times after nights of hopping around the LES. I'm not that big on hookah myself but Kazuza has a nice vibe that you just can't help but join in. You have to order a drink when you're there (water counts) which is fine - the food is decent too. My only complaint is that recently the service has gotten bad and you have to chase down the waitresses probably more often than you should ever need to. Also the hookah quality isn't as great as it once seemed to be so not sure what's good with that. But all in all if you're looking for a chill spot in the LES you can't really go wrong with Kazuza! read more

The only good thing about this place is wonderful service. The waiters and guys making and servicing your hookah are all very friendly and attentive. Always checking up on you and changing coals and whatnot. However, our first mistake was coming here on 7pm on a hot summer Thursday. It was unbearably hot inside and outside. There are some tables that are in the open air, so you can see the street and passerbys. The other half of the place is heavily decorated and dark. Fans on ceilings. No AC. No air to breathe. It was unbearable to sit in any place in the room. Probably better during the cool night, but hot summer evening made our experience feel like torture, with sweating and suffocating and fanning ourselves with menus. The atmosphere wasn't pleasant. Very dark, random music that was playing on and off. Tables close to each other, unless you're sitting in the back in the booths that aren't comfortable. I couldn't wait to leave. Didn't relax and enjoy anything. Unfortunately, have to agree with previous reviewers--skip the food. Everything was bland, dry, old, and tasteless. I was excited to try their Middle Eastern menu but the food was so bad that my boyfriend and I, despite hunger, barely touched our chicken kebabs, fries, salads, moussaka, and baba ghanoush. This place definitely isn't famous for its cuisine. Hookah was very weak, not worth the effort or the money. Plus, the fans blowing at it, helped to speed up the burning out. This place really has an Egyptian Mediterranean vibe to it and the music, food, drinks are amazing. We came here to hang out with friends and family and what I love about it is that they have sofas which separate you from others towards the back of the lounge very private setting. Towards the front is more of a shared space, for smaller groups. The decoration is also very Egyptian. This place of course you can order hookah so the smell of the hookah is strong here. The staff here is very friendly and pleasant, they make sure you are having a good time. Also while waiting the belly dancer did a couple of songs and she was just wonderful and very entertaining to watch! Needless to say this spot is a good chill spot to spend some time with friends/family smoking some hookah drinking some drinks and eating their amazing food. Can't wait to come back. I came here for my friends birthday and I would definitely come back again. The seating is so comfortable and not cramped like most places. The ambiance is great, nice and comfortable- soothing. The hookah is strong and they come around and change the coal free of charge just like a hookah place should do. They also have great smoothies - i highly recommend the pina colada. Blue mist hookah was great. They give each person a plastic mouth piece which was perfect! The mojito pitcher was worth it for 25$ you get several glasses worth! Where as one glass by itself is 10$. We ordered the hummus which was amazing, it came with warm pita. The chicken fingers were more like chicken nuggets and were very tiny, not worth the price at all. We also ordered the spring rolls they were okay but wouldn't order again. Service was just okay, we didn't get offered refills we had to flag the waitress down each time. I had a really great time here. If you're looking for a sexy hookah bar with reasonable prices, this is it. If you're a group of two, you can sit in their super cool regal chairs. Great for dates! The trippy red and green lights are a nice touch, too. There are also tables and booths, along with a VIP table, secluded in the corner in the back by the bathrooms. The exotic sour apple hookah that we got was decent. I liked the flavor, but it wasn't that strong for me. I wanted to get lightheaded! It didn't happen that quickly. However, I think their hookah is better than Horus'. Minus one star for requiring us to get a drink, because it was Friday night. Horrible service. Things started okay, we got to sit outside. However, it started getting cold so we wanted to move inside. The waitresses proceeded to tell us it's the owners rules that we can not move inside after being outside. Idk why I guess that's just the rules. After smoking hookah for about 45 min we needed more coals which took about 20 min to get. Once we got them she put them in the middle of the hookah and our hookah got burnt. We also waited about 25 min to receive our water. This doesn't include the snotty attitudes the waitresses gave us the entire time. Great hookah but horrible service. Heard about this place through my sister and decided to give it a try since my friend was coming in from Long Island. A friend and I came around 11pm on a Friday and after being IDed at the door, we were quickly given a table. The ambiance was lit, the music was great, and there was a bellydancer coming at 11:30pm that night. I thought, this is great and we'd have a fun night. When I was ordering the hookah, we were told we had to buy a drink. I was kind of thrown off by that but what could I expect from a hookah lounge in the city. I went with the Habibi Martini. It was actually delicious and was loaded with mango juice, which I love! We ordered a mix of white peach & mint hookah and after 10 minutes, it was at our table ready to go. The hookah was good, and the coals were changed frequently (once when we asked and another time when one of the workers was going around). All in all, it was a really fun time UNTIL the bill came. I was just really surprised to see that it cost over $70 for 2 people. This is a decent hookah lounge but being Middle Eastern myself, I know the value of good hookah and this just wasn't worth it. We were seated outside and waitress was too busy " servicing" the tables surrounding us to even notice that we were waiting. It's almost as if she was deliberately avoiding our table. There's some outdoor seating in the front but less overall patio seating than some of the other smoke spots (Cloister Cafe and Horus come to mind for summertime). The atmosphere is dim, mysterious and patrons glow in the candlelight. Their food menu was tempting, though I've never indulged myself. The apple hookah was kept stoked pretty well, though every now and then some dude would come up and try to replace ours with another one, seemingly trying to hike up our bill even though the first hookah wasn't finished. The guy at the door will ask you how many people are in your party, and then make you stand outside until he can get the attention of the hostess to take you to your table. The music is good, the shisha is pretty good quality as well (mix the cappuccino shisha with milk... you'll thank me later). M and I came here since M is a hookah connoisseur. I never tried hookah before, so I am totally oblivious to the proper way of hookahing. I was down to try it, even the thought of risking my lungs. M got the melon at first, but asked me if I preferred something else...we inquired about a flavour that we both never heard of...which was Bahrini. The guy Yousef said it's like an apple from a place callled Bahrini. When we smoked it, it tasted more like licorice than apple. I suck in inhaling and exhaling - the lightheaded feeling made me feel crazy, so I had to stop. This hookahing business also made me really sleepy. I listened to M and not order from the menu and I just got Pineapple and Vodka with M. ECK! I never got Pineapple with Vodka before - not my sort of drink. I totally should have ordered off the menu. We ended up getting Patron Cafe and that woke me up - I would never think this place would carry Patron Cafe....but glad they did! There weren't really much dancing here, except for this one gay dude that danced really cute and he told us that he's a regular here and has already smoked 5 flavours in one sitting. LOVE THIS PLACE! I was reading some of the negative reviews and I don't get it. Seriously if you are looking for some great hookah you come here. I have been to some pretty crappy hookah spots that never stand up to this place. There are some places in queens that aren't bad but so far I have yet to find anywhere in manhattan that is better. 1) Ambiance is nice depending on when you go it will have darker lighting. 2) They play a varying selection of music so you don't just listen to one genre. They even have a dj that changes it up when there is alot of people. 3) The hookah is GREAT, I never feel like im inhaling burning coals or just smoking water. 4) There's no coal changing fee that some places try to impose on you 5) The employees are friendly (unless you are being obnoxious and rude) 6) The food and drinks are decent too. I haven't had any watered down drinks. I have gone countless times to this place and continue to go because I know that when I go my hookah fix will be satisfied. I have taken 1st timers and even converted the hookah haters. The only reason you wouldn't like this place is if you prefer to smoke weak cheap hookah instead of the better kind that they have to offer. read more

Pretty chill and the refills are steady so you can smoke on your $15 pipe all night. There are some good cocktails and they mixed a pretty decent mojito. The music was very good, moving between current dance music and Middle Eastern beats. And there's a neighborhood crowd. I love the open-door front, total bliss on a balmy night. Great HOOKAH SPOT! I searched endlessly until I came upon Kazuza for a great hookah spot and belly dancers for a friend's birthday. I went here a year earlier but I didn't witness the belly dancers and I wasn't sure if they were good to invite friends to see. Needless to say, they were GREAT! Interactive, beautiful, and fun. I made a reservation in advance and I would RECOMMEND doing so for large groups because its a small location and it gets PACKED. We got a both in the back which was perfect for us and it kinda set an intimate feel that I wanted. The hookah was great, the drinks was good, and the music was on point. My only thing that prevented me from giving them 5 stars was the waitress. She wasn't attentive and we sometimes had to flag her down, she also forgot drink orders which was annoying when we were trying to make a toast or take shots. Otherwise, it was great and I would say to try it out on Friday or Saturday night. It is loud because of the music which is Top 40!
