We've been here a few times for lunch and dinner. We have sat here and eaten as many times as we have picked up food to go either way it's a good option. There's plenty of seating. The food is reliable in the sense that it is always good. there was always plenty of meat and veg. You definitely get your moneys worse. You will have leftovers definitely. The teriyaki is a wonderful mix not too sweet not too savory just right the rice is perfect and the meat is always tender. We love eating here. It's a wonderful warm dish for lunch or dinner. Hidden gem in Washougal! Enjoyed their Chicken Yakisoba for dinner. It includes a side of steamed rice along with some vegetables which were cooked perfectly. The staff always gives you extra teriyaki sauce with orders to add if you'd like. Found it to be full of flavour and not greasy. For only $7.99, you get a LOT of food! **update** So it's been two years and I still eat here often but recently I've gotten my meal and had it be completely horrible. It's happened more than once where the chicken in the General Taos is super soggy (like how when you put your leftovers in the fridge and warm it up the next day soggy) and SO SO SO spicy it burns your mouth and I like spicy food. I'm not sure what is going on. The chicken teriyaki is still solid but the other dishes can be a miss. It's been twice now that I've gotten it to go and had to toss it out. read more

How does this place have good reviews??? I feel like I would have been better off throwing my money out the car window on the way there and saved myself the trouble. Gyoza was overcooked and hard. Beef teriyaki hardly had any beef! At least 75% veggies. And the beef was so tough we could barely chew it. The General Taos chicken was even worse! I have little doubt it was prepared in a microwave. It was soggy and strange. Almost no flavor. And it had corn, carrots, and peas! I've never had it with those from anywhere else. Ended up let disappointed with my first meal. I recently moved to the area and was excited to try out this local teriyaki restaurant. My usual expectations of a teriyaki place is they load you up with rice, a lame-o salad, and your teriyaki. So my go to order is basically "chicken teriyaki, no salad, just rice". For my visit I got spicy chicken teriyaki and an order of gyoza. As mentioned in some other reviews, the gyoza was overcooked and pretty crunchy, but I guess that's better than undercooked and soggy. The thing that was different about this teriyaki is that they include a bunch of peppers, onions and other veggies within the mixture of teriyaki. I'm not a big veggie person so this caught me off guard. The spiciness caught me off guard, I think I got the seeds of a pepper or something because halfway into the meal I wasn't interested in finishing after that. I'm sure this is good for a lot of people, but I was looking for basically rice and chicken and was disappointed with the meal overall. read more

Yum, we are very happy with Ichi 26. We've been here two times and both times left very satisfited. Their egg flower soup is free if you dine in, and it's very tasty. I'm already planning ahead to send my husband here to get some of this soup to go whenever I feel sick (or vice versa). I've had their sticky peanut chicken. It was good. I would have preferred some better veggies on the side rather than the ultra basic salad provided. The second visit I ordered a chicken teryaki bowl which had more veggies and was a lot more satisfying. My husband really likes their hot and spicy beef. Plenty of food. I have driven past this place all the time wanting to try it to see if it was a good teriyaki place or not. So yesterday I finally stopped and I'm glad I did the service there was great the food was delicious even the veggies were great they steamed them and gave me a special sauce that I absolutely loved. I am bitterly disappointed. I live up the street and really wanted to live his place with the typical mom and pop neighborhood Asian serving healthy teriyaki and other Asian basics. The first problem was the menu, where nearly everything is served with salad and rice, so there are little choices for skipping a component or substituting. The second problem is the salad itself. Calling lettuce a salad is misrepresentation, even other were two or three star ands of shaved carrot and something purple! Love this place. As one of the few places in Washougal to order food, I am so thankful they have such great food. We typically order to go and get the spicy chicken, spicy beef, gyoza, and pork fried rice. On occasion we will also get the ribs. Went for dinner yesterday, it's order at the counter and they bring your food. I ordered the tofu yakisoba and my husband ordered a gyoza combination with steamed veggies and rice. The lady at the counter was very fast and friendly. They offer free soup or dinning in. We sat and my husbands food come out first, about 7 min before mine, I tried his veggies and they where Luke warm in the middle and cold on the outside. His gyroza looked slightly burnt too. When my food came it was ok. Not the best teriyaki restaurant I have ever been to. The food is just ok. Everything is slightly over sauced and over cooked or cold- like the veggies. Ichi is one of my favorite go-to restaurants for cheap and fast food. I've only been to the one in Washougal once, and the wait was very long. It took me about 25 minutes to get my food to go. Other than that slight inconvenience, it's great! My favorite part is the sweet and sour sauce they serve here.
