    New York Style Gyro Plate
    Mickenzee M.

Food is amazing. The NY style gyro fries are HUGE for the price but absolutely worth it. Burger was very good just more seasoned than we are used to.

First off, the staff were friendly and nice when taking my order, so I will give this business that! I ordered a small meal and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I was in sort of a rush so I was happy it would be finished quickly. Unfortunately it took over 30 minutes to get my food, and the chicken was burned and sort of bland. The garlic sauce and bread are great though. The environment was clean and quiet, with some nice soft music. Wish I could have given this spot a better review!

I am always looking for another Kebab place. So I journeyed to the Northridge Fashion Mall food court to pay a first time visit to the Kebab Lab. I ordered a carry out of the Lule Kebab Plate. It is a combo dish that comes with two minced beef kebabs, pita, hummus, rice and a cucumber salad. The star of such a dish has to be the Kebab and let me say that it is only a few places that can make a good kebab. This place did a grand job. The kebabs were freshly grilled, juicy and not dry, were cooked right, had the optimum charring and burned taste. If anything, the meat was kind of bland and should have had more seasoning, to boost the flavor. Hummus was nice and silky and the salad was fresh and refreshing. Service was exceptional. Now I have a place that is not too much of a drive, when I am in the mood for a tasty kebab.

The staff are nice and lovely people! The food is very very very yum yum! My wife and I were very satisfied with the food and pleased with how much spent on a meal for two! Will definitely return for more! My stomach is full and my heart is happy!

Great attitude, very chill guys cooking and serving. The food is great, and it's reasonably priced. The ambiance is inviting and fun! Lots of pink and checkered black and white- it's surprisingly comfortable feeling. Probably my favorite spot to eat in the mall. It'll bring you to the mall maybe!

Order number 10 and 3. Was amazing to our surprise small stop but very authentic Armenian food

Small stop of authentic Armenian food, was very delicious big portions and tasty, will eat the again

A little bummed about this place! Kebabs are really a hit or miss for me. My mom brought this home for us to enjoy for dinner and it just wasn't for me. The rice was okay. Could've been better. By the time she brought it home, the plates they used were really soggy due to the condensation and it was tough to pick up. Basically had to slide it out of the bag and use a new plate. I got a piece of the chicken and a piece of the "beef" and some rice and hummus to enjoy. I started with the chicken which wasn't so bad but definitely needed a lot of hummus for me to eat it since it can get a little dry. I was sad to see they didn't have the garlic butter that a lot of other Mediterranean places have. The beef was a huge disappointment. Not sure if it's a seasoning or what but it did not taste like beef. It tasted like lamb to me and I absolutely cannot stand the flavor of lamb. I was so bummed! I was really looking forward to it since I prefer beef over chicken in general. Sad to say, I probably won't be eating here again. IG: @ammysalamii

Maybe I'm a bit spoiled from Raffi's Place but this was just mid Rice and meat had little to no flavor the ambience was old school cafeteria I do appreciate the hard working cooks as there was only 1 guy manning both the grill and the cash register If anything looks like the wraps might be the way to go

"The chicken is halal, super juicy, and absolutely delicious! Wow amazing

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.

The Northridge outpost is located in the Fashion Mall, on the ground floor, below the food court. It has a nice layout, spacious, with well polished wood tables. Seating is inside as well as a covered area outside, though still in the mall, adjacent to the place, a patio feel, if you will. Interestingly, when I was there, they were playing Latin music. A multicultural experience :). So what do you order when you come here? I came here for a carry out and it had to be their beef koobideh. It came with a choice of salad (Greek in my case), basmati rice, two skewers of kabob, grilled onions, tomato, jalapeno and a small container of tzatziki. For a starter, I selected a bowl of the green lentil soup that came accompanied with two small pieces of grilled artisan bread. This soup was fantastic in both flavor, freshness and taste. Most Mediterranean soups have too much lemon, imparting acidity to the dish. Here, if it was there, it was very slight, hardly noticeable. I consider this pivotal, because now you get to actually taste the depth of the lentils. As for the kabobs, it was a generous portion. They were moist, tasty, optimally spiced and with satisfying texture. The Tzatziki was superb. This eatery touts themselves as a scratch kitchen, for the food that is served daily to their customers. Indeed, I have to say that their food does taste different. I know that this restaurant will climb upwards on my list, for many more repeat visits.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries...
