Noticed one night that my fridge wouldn't cool below 55 degrees. Created a project through Yelp and within an hour was contacted by David, the owner of Keep It Cool. I had a great experience with David. He was timely (actually, he was early) and was a good communicator. He quickly identified the immediate problem with the condenser coils, and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He fixed it the condenser coils issue, and then while checking the other components of the fridge noticed that there was an issue with the fan motor in the freezer. He defrosted the freezer, identified the part, and ordered it while he was at my home and scheduled a time the same week to come back and install it. I enjoyed working with David. I thought his service was very fairly priced, and that he worked clean and efficiently. My refrigerator was not cooling properly. I contacted Keep It Cool, and David, the owner, responded quickly and was able to come the next day and assess the situation. I was so impressed by how thorough he was. He pulled out the refrigerator, even vacuumed the floor and the walls behind the refrigerator, took off the panels, and checked all the areas . He came back the next day and checked it again, as it was still running warm, and found that a valve that wasn't working properly, and ordered the part. I would not recommend this refrigerator repair service. They originally scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 9 AM but texted 30 minutes before to say they were running late and didn't arrive until 10 AM. I let it slide, and they diagnosed the issue as dust buildup. After cleaning, the freezer still didn't work, so they scheduled a follow-up for Monday at 3 PM. On Monday, 3:30 PM rolled around with no sign of them, so I reached out--only to get a response saying their car had broken down. It felt like they wouldn't have updated me if I hadn't checked in. We rescheduled for Thursday, which they confirmed, but then I got another message saying they were double-booked and asking to move the appointment again. The constant rescheduling and lack of communication were frustrating and unprofessional. If you need reliable service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I too had a fridge that was no longer cooling. David was amazing. He was very courteous with confirming the appointment and communicating his arrival time the day of. He was very conscientious of the rainy day, and used towels to wipe his feet. It took him no time at all to diagnose the issue with the fridge and he worked very diligently to fix it, checking and rechecking that it was fixed. I really appreciated that he communicated with me the through the process so I understood what was wrong (leaking evaporator connection) and then how he was going to fix it and the transparency with the challenges. My tenant's refrigerator was over-cooling, and I needed a service call urgently. I posted a request for service, and received five bids. David responded quickly, and offered a no-cost visit to diagnose the problem...that was impressive, and made it simpler for me to deal with the situation. He was able to arrive quickly, and my tenant received him at the unit. David diagnosed the problem, and performed a service to clean the coils, which solved the problem. David was thorough, knowledgeable and courteous, and the problem was solved at a reasonable cost. After he finished, I asked what other services he performs, and he replied that he is a complete HVAC man. That caught my interest, because my home furnace and AC needed an annual maintenance, and my regular guy finked out on me. David was happy to oblige, came out to my house soon after, and performed a complete service for both my furnace and AC unit, including adding some refrigerant... at a very reasonable price.
