My oh my! I highly recommend the lemongrass chicken satay. Every element was delicious. The seasoning on the chicken was excellent. I really enjoyed the apple slaw. It was very light and silky. I also tried the grilled shrimp vermicelli. Again, the shrimp was seasoned so good! I love the fact that I didn't feel tired after I ate because it was light. Perfect for lunch. Keepers was my Go To Happy Hour for years running; there was always a bar seat, the raw bar was good, prices were great. With the bougie changes I have totally written them off; the price increases are steep and the cuts to the Happy Hour menu have taken the fun out of it. read more

Finally had a chance to give this this place a try yesterday and it was awesome! The 3 PM opening time never worked for us, but happy they now have daytime hours Thursday-Sunday! We tried a little bit of everything on the menu and few oyster varieties. They were Excellent and super fresh. The Crab cake was one of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten, every bite had huge lumps of crab meat. Alex had great recommendations on food and drink pairings. We miss North By NW which was precious at this location. Super nice causal remodel. Very bright and inviting. I had house Cabernet which was healthy pour and reasonable cost. The ceviche was a tad spicy for my taste but excellent and solid chips. The fried fish plate was super good with great fries. Food was delivered prompt, hot and fresh. Our only beef, and this could be just us, but the order online vs paper menu vs having a wait person or not was a tad confusing. Elizabeth shared with us she was happy to be our waitress but if we already started in the online menu cause that created two tabs. We decided to work with her so we could ask questions and get some recommendations which seemed to make her a tad grumpy. Also, it is a seat yourself deal. We observed others come in and not know where to go or how to order. It will be easy second time around but leaves an odd first impression. We had dinner there and it was mediocre at best. My husband had a cup of gumbo & a fried oyster appetizer for his meal. I had 1/2 pound of the shrimp boil. The gumbo had zero vegetables in it and mostly oysters in a very thick gravy-like soup. It came with a piece of fried okra that should be taken off. He did enjoy the fried oysters. My shrimp was really good except that it had the heads on. I don't mind peeling the shell, but leave the heads in the kitchen trash. Mine came with 2 small red potatoes & an ear of corn that was so spicy, I couldn't eat it. We won't be back. The service was great. read more

Tried this new place in our area a couple of weeks ago. The drinks were very small, the margarita and the mango daiquiri. The gumbo came in a super small little bowl. Would have been nice to offer a cup and a bowl. There was a very odd ordering system and we ended up not using it and waitress had us order directly with her which was much better. My friend did enjoy the fish or shrimp tacos. And please do something about the queso. It was soooo watery/thin. Was dripping all over the place. read more

My wife and i visited Keepers Coastal Kitchen last Friday evening for dinner. We were eagerly looking forward to a seafood restaurant close to our SW Austin home. They have a very great atmosphere and an interesting ordering system (all via mobile phone). Their waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. The food left a lot to be desired though. Very small portions for the price. Started with ceviche, which was good but not remarkable. I had a fried shrimp platter that consisted of 5 shrimp and fries. Although it was ok, i could have purchased same quality anywhere. Cocktail sauce was very unusual. My wife had a Mahi Mahi dish. She loved the fish, but not the vegetables. Drinks were good, but a bit overpriced for the size. Took burgers home to kids and they werent as good as any cheaper neighborhood burger joint. I can provide receipt upon request. read more

I'm so excited to have this new restaurant open in our neighborhood. We had drinks at the bar before we were seated for our reservation. The bar staff was a bit inattentive but when we were able to order, our drinks were served promptly and tasted great. The drink presentation is nice. Once we were seated all servers and staff we interacted with were so wonderfully pleasant and provided exceptional service and hospitality. I'd go back to this restaurant just to sit in Caleb's section- he was outstanding! The food was very flavorful and seasoned very well. We loved the smoked white fish dip. Our fried dishes were delicious and light - not heavy or greasy. Their spicy butter is no joke so tread lightly but it was a great dip for my crispy fries. Seafood can be expensive but I felt like the portions matched the price. Ordering through the QR code at the table meant we got our food and drinks when we wanted and everything was brought to the table quickly. The seafood selection has just got to get better. I understand its about managing food cost but Ahi tuna, Lobster that's the only thing that will get me back there. The current menu selection, while good, lacks the bling for my pretty well heeled Circle C budget. Overall very nice experience. Service was chaotic and needs refinement but that's ok, still everyone was nice and peppy. Overall Im so happy that the old NXNW location is up and running. We're not Bubba Gumps in LA so lets now try to be, lets move towards a refined upscale Circle C Seafood hub with a menu that matches. I came here with my dad for the first time, and we had a great experience. I had the crawfish and EZ peek shrimp, both were amazing especially paired with the spicy butter. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Our waitress's customer service wasn't great, but the manager was friendly. The food was edible, but not great. If you're used to Cajun seafood, this isn't your place. The food didn't have any flavor. Especially not the crawfish. I asked if I could try one before ordering my plate. They said there was no way for them to do that. So I ordered the captain's platter, anyway. It came with crawfish, shrimp, dungeon crab, and the fixings. My husband said my plate was $100. Definitely not worth it! If it was flavorful it could have been. I tried my husband's fish from the fish fry plate that he had, and that was bland also. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that likes flavor. read more

Our first visit and we were happy to be trying this new restaurant. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. They gave us a special menu that included two or three items including a great sounding beverage. Oops they were out of that drink. (Maybe they should not have added the little menu or at least told us that particular item was not available. We had two apps both which were good. Then after once again studying the menu I tried to order the clam chowder. Then the manager came over and told us the chowder wasn't up to par and it was best we didn't order it. Hmmm, interesting. I told him I wasn't having much luck and he asked what else had happened. I told him and then he asked if I wanted one of a few items he named. I said "no". He told me to think about it and ask for him if I wanted or needed anything. After a while I was curious and when he came to the table to deliver something I told him I decided I wanted a particular drink on the regular menu. I also ordered what I would call fish and chips. It was a small portion and ok. I get much better and bigger portions at Waterloo. The bill came and I checked what I wanted to see and yes I was charged for the drink order I placed with the manager. We were home about an hour when my husband said he was hungry. So $135 for three people plus a tip and I'm not feeling very positive. And btw, the drink I ordered, although a specialty drink and not inexpensive, was quite ordinary and I wouldn't order it again. read more

My favorite things on the menu are the baha fish tacos and the Maui shrimp wrap that they serve for lunch! Everything is super fresh as well! They really do have something for everyone! I have visited multiple times and the food is always amazing. The bayou plate has become my go to food and love atmosphere! On our last visit we ordered a boil with lemongrass Serrano. It has a little heat and full of flavor. Make sure to order a cocktail, the summer and then some always hits the spot. A great addition to South Austin! read more

We moved here a couple of years ago and were incredibly excited when this place opened. This used to be our favorite place to go for a weekday dinner. These days the staff seem unfriendly, the menu has changed (how can you get rid of the white fish dip and rockfish tacos?!?!!?) and the overall atmosphere now is very negative/unwelcoming. Hopefully they can clean this up as it's right down the road and our whole neighborhood used to love going.
