Nice people, convenient location, good workmanship, unethical pricing; I will not be returning. As the owner asked for more specifics I will provide them: 1) in the spring, I was told I needed a new battery at the cost of $254, though it was still running at 40% capacity; the car is not driven long distances. The Honda dealership told me to wait until the fall, when they replaced it for under $200. 2) recently I was told that the car needed a cabin filter. The cost was $38.00. I suggested that the Honda folk had looked at it and said it wasn't that bad. When one of the gentlemen behind the desk audibly scoffed at that comment, I was embarrassed and relented. When I asked to see the box and looked it up on the internet, the cost of the project in multiple places was $10.79. When I showed the it to the staff they said the cost included labor. When I inquired about the labor cost for popping a cabin filter in, I was informed that there was none. Thus, I was being charged an over 350% markup on this item. I had them remove it. Over the past four years I have had 3 vehicles repaired and undergo maintenance at this facility, with receipts totalling over $9500. As this was a place family members frequented, I took their word but increasingly became concerned about costs and suggested maintenance strategies [like replacing struts] that the Honda dealership said were completely unnecessary. As someone with advanced degrees in ethics I use the language of "unethical" advisedly. If I am being quoted costs 20% above another facility, or more than 350% of the market value of a small thing like a air filter, what could I have saved of the previous $9500? I shall not be returning. read more

I just moved to the area and hadn't found my friendly neighborhood mechanic yet. I went to Keith's because of a mailer that I received with a oil change. Since I got that oil change, I've received a welcome packet and other personalized mailers that show that they care about their customers. I ended up needing to take my car in recently for some fairly major work. My car was going to be out of commission for a few days, and they gave me a loaner car for free to use while mine was getting work done. This was awesome! They've been very straight forward with me and hassle free and honest. The pricing was fair, and with the amount of coupons that they've sent me, i was able to knock another $100 off my bill. The loaner car was the best though. It was so helpful that I didn't have to coordinate other transportation or miss any work because I didn't have a car. I just needed to return the car with the same amount of gas as when I got it. I think i've definitely found my neighborhood mechanic. read more

Keith's Car Care is excellent. My mother recommended this place for it's wonderful service & staff.....after my 2nd visit there I couldn't agree more. Our first trip there was for major services to our vehicle, all services were explained in advance and we were kept up-to-date on every detail. 2nd visit was for a basic oil change and again, excellent service. Friendly and honest staff, honesty is hard to come by these days in some vehicle repair shops. No smoke & mirrors here. Their rewards program is excellent and often a coupon can be found in either the mail or their montly newsletter. Even my 3 year old son enjoyed our visit there, they had a good selection of "busy" toys that kept him occupied & happy. Even the lady waiting next to me had positive comments about Keith's & she's been a customer for over 20 years....loyal customers says a lot about a business. We just recently tried Keith's for the first time for a repair on our Ford Escape. It is always a gamble when you look for automotive repair because you are pretty much at their mercy if you don't know much about mechanics. We are AAA members and were aware that they were "AAA approved" so we expected great service. We were not disappointed. They did a thorough check of the vehicle, located the problem, and promptly fixed it. In addition, it was an issue underneath the car and they gave us photos of the damage that was done underneath (by a squirrel) so we could see it for ourselves. Just an oil change this time around, but Keith's has always provided great service at a fair price, and more importantly, they stand behind their work. Had an alternator replaced there a few years back, which unfortunately started throwing intermittent codes after a couple years. Even though the car was still running fine, they helped me troubleshoot over the phone, did the initial diagnosis when the problem persisted, and ultimately replaced the alternator under warranty at no charge. I have been taking my car to Keith's for the past 12 years now. I always get the very best service there. I use my Keith's bucks to get my oil changed and sometimes end up getting this done for free. Sean and Jeff and the front desk are really helpful. Had some work done at the dealer last summer (warranty issue) and ended up taking it directly to Keith's to have them fix what was not taken care of at the dealer. They were very thorough int he car review, asked me a few questions prior to just performing and charging me more. These guys are awesome. They never try to rip you off. I took my car to the dealer and they told me I needed new brakes within the next week or they may fail. I got a second opinion from Keith's and they said my brakes were good for a least another year. Fourteen months later I actually needed new brakes. I have used Keith's car care for years. Yes they can be expensive but who else will give you the warranty they do. And really I did not find them to be much more. I know the work is done right.
