Sausage Omelet Bagel with Fruit Bowl...
    Armando D.

Our breakfast meals were excellent! I truly enjoyed the fruit bowl and noticed how fresh, clean and abundant the portions given. The service from Maria was great she captured my request precisely and relayed it to the kitchen staff. The kitchen staff were all new employees and made our food extremely tasty. Thank you Keke's! We will be back!

The service was quick. We were seated within the 15 min time frame. While we waited we sat at the tables outside in the shade next to the waterfall. The food was hot. The pancakes were HUGE. I couldn't finish them. They were delicious. The hamburger was double meat. It was delicious and juicy. The only complaint was the table wasn't cleaned. It had hair on it.

We came around 2PM and they close at 2:30PM. Our server Harrison was super friendly, apologetic and kept us updated on the food. Everything was good. The fries were crunchy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside. I enjoyed my fluffy french toast. Basic but so good when you have that craving. There are booths and comfy, private.

Good service and the food was "Good" no real WOW factor, with the average price points. The Eggs Benedict needed a touch more Hollandaise sauce and bland. Fried scallop potatoes were well prepared. Coffee was a bit weak. The overall ambience was a bit cold almost like being in a waiting room at your doctor's office. I would try again.

    Pancakes

I ordered pancakes and this is what I got. Bricks. They take like baking soda. Cutting through them were everything but fluffy just thick and rough. I'll never order from Keke's again. A true waste of ingredients.

I am a big enjoyer of breakfast food, so when I saw there was a Keke's in the area I got very excited. I came in with a nice book and sat for a good while, enjoying the morning. I was greeted with a smile and sat promptly, my server was very nice and attentive, no ticks at all against the service. The ambiance had some good elements like the welcoming comfortable feeling of the restaurant with its wall art and pleasing colors, but other things like the overhead table light being way too bright and exposed made it to where I couldn't look up without being blinded. The food was alright but left more to be desired. the best part of the meal was the chicken, it was crispy, well seasoned, and juicy; however the waffle it came with was bordering on uncooked for some bites. I did have to season the grits but I do that everywhere, and the sausage was typical restaurant sausage, a little thin if anything. All around my experience was alright but I feel there's room for improvement in the food.

Okay, this is one of those random times I am leaving a low star rating, after placing our order it seemed like an unusually long time went by before we received our food, our server passed our table at least 6 times during that time frame and not once offered refills, once our food finally arrived he had taken it up to order 2 Kira meal for our table instead of 1 like we had ordered for our son. My husbands omelet was no longer hot and my French toast were not even warm, when the food came out he noticed our empty glasses and asked if we wanted refills, when the refills arrived it was in foam cups not he glass cups we had, we then noticed it seemed all the other tables were also receiving the same slow service and it seemed they had some sort of trouble in the kitchen, lots of Servers and 3 hostess but terribly slow service. Usually I see servers pick up empty plates from any table to help each other as they are heading back to the kitchen, not the case here, we still had to pay for the extra kids meal as the serve didn't take it off even though it was his mistake and we didn't want to ask. We just left after eating and decided never to go back.

Keke's special with grits and home fries

My wife and I went to Keke's at 450 Durbin Pavilion in St Johns for the first time on Sunday May 5th, 2025. Got there shortly after noon. The store was clean and bright. We were greeted immediately. Our waiter, Porter, was friendly and efficient. On the plus side, the pancakes were pretty good. Slightly dense but I'd order them again. Ham slice was good and plentiful. Coffee was good. The cups were made with very thick walls so there wasn't much in the cups. They would have been fine if there was a pot of coffee on the table. Unfortunately... The scrambled eggs were just slightly beaten. Streaks of white in the yellow. It looks like they were poured on a grill until they were cooked, folded and plated. Just flat and dense. I'd say they were mischaracterized both as scrambled and fluffy. Flat, dry and overcooked. The pile of lumps on the potato plate were supposed to be cheese grits. Lumpy and dry. More like yesterday's mashed potatoes. Worst I've Ever had. Not cheesy nor creamy. The home fries were made of skin-on red potatoes. They probably would have been good if the potatoes had been fully cooked. They broke when you stabbed the slices. OJ was surprisingly watery.

We have been trying to get into the Keke vibe. However, everytime we go to the Town center location, there is always a long wait. Thankfully, there is a KeKe restaurant in St Johns County. The host was pleasant but called me Bob when she just took my reservation for a table. Unfortunately, you can not make reservations on line. We received our drinks iceless. Normally when do not want ice in a drink, you ask for no ice. There was no ice to be had at Keke according to our server. Now for the entrees. The server exclaimed the plates were hot but he silver dollar pancakes were not. All in all this is an experience we want to forget. It is hard to make a mockery out of breakfast/lunch but Keke has. This is a one and done type review.

It is a new place as everything is in St. John's. Clean and well-lighted. My only real gripe was that I ordered a 3-egg breakfast platter and the amount of scrambled eggs was 1.5 at best. Certainly not three. I did not bring it to my server's attention. But the server should be checking this sort of thing before he leaves for the table. Pet peeve of many breakfast restaurants in N.E. Florida... why does no one butter the toast in the kitchen before serving it? Is it a law or health code thing? Do I need to ask them to butter the toast?Somebody please advise. Thanks.

The other part of the group also drank their life away, and because of this you always need to go to a diner the next day. It was a pleasant afternoon.. the birds were chirping, the sky was partly cloudy, and the wind felt cool. The group stumbled on Metro Diner which looked very appealing! We were told by a couple nice people that it was only a 15 minute wait which was perfectly fine so we went to Publix and bought a couple things. When we came back we were seated outside with a friendly waiter who got us going right away. The ogre kept saying how she wanted fried chicken and waffles, but then got nervous because it was 2000 calories.. like what? "You're on vacation just get the chicken and waffles." She was already overweight anyways so why not add more fuel to the fire. Anyways onto what we got! Me: egg scramble bowl with avocado and bacon. And oatmeal with fruit My good Buddy Bezos: burger bowl Doctor Bs wife: avocado egg sandwich thing Tragic: your classic eggs, toast, sausage, homefried The heaviest girl ever: Belgian waffle and some fruit? Okay pause.. how do you go from I WANT CHICKEN AND WAFFLES to mmm I'll have a waffle and some fruit! Okay anyways onto the reviews of the food itself! Doctor Bs wife: Really good Tragic: Mid Ogre: My eggs tasted like the were sitting out a while, the waffle wasn't hot but still good and I wish it was warmer and the butter was hard and cold My good buddy bezos: actually he was in the shower so I didn't get his review, but I know he liked it, that burger bowl actually looked good. Me: Yeah I mean I am a sucker for scrambled bowl with hollandaise sauce, I definitely have had way better, but the taste was there. I would like to add that I basically finished my entire meal before tragic or the wife got theirs. It will be shown in the photos below. I tried to be polite and wait, but after 5 minutes without their food showing up I had to eat I was starving. It's kind of crazy to me that me ogre and my good buddy bezos were first. I would think that the classic plate of tragics would be easy, as well as the sandwich because it's just the same stuff in my bowl just between bread somewhat. I enjoyed the ambiance and the feel of the place for sure. The music that was playing was also enjoyable, so initially I was at a three but because of those factors along with the fact that I did somewhat like my food more than the others (which is rare) and don't feel terrible after that's why we stand at a four. I would like to clarify every place has its own rating system. Like you cannot compare a fancy restaurant to a diner although they are still deemed a 4 on my page. Sorry anyways, the prices were also really reasonable and we had a good time. Maybe next year when we are back around here we will come back! It was good!

I got here as they opened on Sunday, and it got packed relatively quickly. I'd recommend having a reservation if you're planning to visit during busier timeframes like this. I was seated promptly by attentive staff, and quickly had both food and drink menus to begin ordering. I was looking for something tasty without being too heavy, and settled on the Little Hans Vienna Lager along with the 8 oz steak burger and fries. The beer had amazing flavor similar to Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager with a good, crisp finish. The burger meal, described with "Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion & bacon jam, beef fat aioli, grilled potato roll, truffle fries", was arguablely the best burger and fries I've ever had in my life. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavor of the wood-fired grill certainly complemented the meat. The house-made pickles were a great touch to add another layer of complexity to the burger. I could tell the fries were fresh cut and never frozen. The truffle oil made these even more amazing. The manager offered and brought a special sauce to try that they normally serve with their chicken chicken sandwich that was superbly tasty and tangy. More than impressed with my entree, I elected to try a desert and was recommended the S'mores pie by my waitress. The deliciously buttery crust was my favorite part of the ensemble and blended well with the savory chocolate filling topped with a toasted marshmallow. While a bit pricey for lunch compared to most places, I was more than satisfied with the offerings provided here and would love to visit Ember and Iron again. Give my number one choice of 2026 thus far some love!

Even though we had a reservation, it didn't seem to make a difference. We waited about 15 minutes just to find a host or hostess to be seated. During that time, we saw several other groups leave because no one was available to greet or seat them. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely set the tone for the visit. Once we were seated, the food was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made from scratch, and the quality and freshness stood out. The Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, topped with garlic aioli and Parmesan cheese, were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and well-balanced with house greens, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar vinaigrette. My little ones ordered the Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Fingers with fries, and they both really enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit, but the service and lack of organization upon arrival could use improvement. If they can address the front-of-house experience, it would make for a much better visit.
