I work near here. I went to Texas a couple of months ago and had the best barbeque ever. I've been craving it and decided to find something in Lake Mary. My coworkers and I headed there last Thursday and returned there again today for lunch. I loved the brisket here as well as the bread, mash potatoes and gravy. Even their diet coke is perfectly carbonated. The service was good last time, but it was even better today. The waitress was great, should have gotten her name. She had white jeans on. read more

Recently used Keller's for catering for a small work function (12 ppl), and was not pleased at all with the service or the quality. When I initally ordered, I was treated as though my order was an inconvenience and even stated that I did not give them enough notice (I phoned in my order 2 days in advance). I had reservations about continuing, but I had heard great things about Keller's and wanted to use a local business over a chain, so I proceeded with my order. I boasted to my team about how great our lunch would be and that I was excited for them to try it. When our order arrived (late), it was to our dismay that they had forgotten to bring any BBQ sauce for the several pounds of meat that we ordered. I realize that the sauce is an add-on item, and I was charged for several pints of their homemade sauce but didn't receive it. The quarts of sides that we ordered were not warm, and the gallons of beverages we ordered did not include cups or ice. So - for lunch we had - dry meat, room temperature sides (at best) and warm drinks without ice in glasses I had to "borrow" from the meeting facility we were using. All in all not a great experience, and definitely not worth the price we paid for lunch. I cater events frequently for my team, and will not use Keller's again. read more

Sauce is delicious and ribs are okay. They forgot our appetizer in our carry out order and when we called they said sorry but did not offer to do anything. They did say we were not charged as our receipt was not itemized. Chicken tender dinner came with 4 tenders (menu said 6) and they were thin, dry and flavorless. Fries soggy, garlic bread really soggy, and mac & cheese was passable (not homemade). Ceasar salad okay but ranch dressing tasted like horseradish sauce (probably was). I suggest buying the sauce and making your own meal to go with it. I will come back for the amazing barbeque sauce but not the food or service. read more

A friend and I went there on Saturday, January 31st in an attempt to eat lunch. We had our drink order placed (diet cokes) fairly quickly and received our drinks pretty fast. The waitress never came back and after 25 minutes of just sitting there I threw down $5 for the sodas and left. Before we left we looked around and not one person in the entire restaurant was eating. A couple was sitting nearby and they mentioned they came in at 11:10 and ordered but after 45 minutes they still did not have any food. It doesn't matter how good the food may be if you never get a chance to try it. I will not try this place again. read more

Well my husband and I just had probably the worse dinner we have ever had at Kellers Food was cold pork was bits and pieces and the chicken was beyond dry but what was worse than the food was having to listen to the owner treat and talk to his employees like they were garbage I honestly don't know why anyone would work for this tyrant. The minute we got to the restaurant these employees were all over the place working getting ready for the rush and I promise you nothing was good enough and in between berating them he was cussing out people on the phone finally I called him over to ask him who he was and to let him know I didn't appreciate having to listen his constant nonsense he couldn't even see how rude he is to them while the restaurant has customers. My recent experience was terrible, the service and management left much to be desired. I placed a to go order and discovered that items were missing from my bag and it became a big ordeal. My husband and I decided to eat here for lunch today to try something new. The food was pretty decent. It reminded me a lot of Sonny's BBQ, to be honest. It was okay, but nothing special and a little overpriced. What really got me was the questionable service. There were only three other tables of people in the restaurant. After we ordered and our luke warm drinks were delivered, plates of food made their way over to our table. They didn't look quite right, and after closer inspection of us picking up the food with our hands to see if it was correct, the waitress realized she brought us the wrong table's order. She then proceded to take the food we had manhandled and take it to the right table. That's so yucky! They have no idea where our hands had been (luckily they were clean.) They should have started the other table's order over immediately, but we had to call them out in front of the whole restaurant for them to make it over. The service was just poor all around. If they had a wait team with common sense, I would go back, but until then, I'll go to one of the many bbq places around here. read more

One of the worst BBQ places I have ever been to. I went in with coworkers a few weeks ago because this place had good reviews and we wanted a BBQ place that was close. We go in to do a to go order. Immediately, this place is poorly laid out, staffs only girl servers, and took us a moment to actually figure out where to order. We go up to the woman doing the orders. The area was not very clean, we kept getting in the way of the servers waiting on tables, and the lady doing the orders was rude. We all do our orders, the lady using a cash register from like the 90s. We go wait outside because there's no room. We never get called so we eventually go back in and our food is ready. Took probably about 10 minutes. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich meal. I looked in my bag and saw there was no BBQ sauce. I asked the lady if I could get some BBQ sauce. She sounded annoyed and said she already put a large BBQ cup in there when she should've have given me a small one, according to her. So I'm like whatever she is rude so we left. We get back to work and my coworkers pull out their meals with large BBQ cups. I pull mine out and it is half the size. This woman blatantly lied to me and was rude. To top it off, the pulled pork I would hardly classify as pulled and it looked gross. It was at best chunky pork and it was dry. Instead of, like every other BBQ place, just giving me an extra cup, this lady was rude and it left a bad enough impression on me that myself and my coworkers will never go back. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, and with places like Bubbalous and Four Rivers, I don't know why anyone would go here. read more

My wife and I went to Keller's after reading the Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards. What started as a promising dinner, fresh, fried okra and a terrific cup of Brunswick Stew, faded into mediocrity when our dinner arrived. While the baked beans were fresh and properly cooked, overly seasoned collards and plain cole slaw accompanied overcooked and dry ribs. It might have just been a bad evening, or that we ordered the wrong thing on the menu, but I'll say that we we disappointed given the strong review by yhe paper. read more

I tend to judge a BBQ joint on their pulled pork and I have not been at all impressed with the pulled pork at Kellers. Their sliced pork is much better and the sauce is good. The beans are flavorful and the French fries I've had there have always been good. Take out service is extremely variable from being quite fast to unbelievably slow. read more

Used to be my go to place for ribs. Lately they have changed their food providers and now serve smaller ribs with less flavor. Price has remained the same for this smaller, less flavorful portion. other people have noticed this and are looking for other BBQ places. Hope they realize that the May have killed the golden goose they were known for. read more

I like ths BBQ the best out of this area (I think its better than 4 rivers, bubbas, etc). It's probably the best value also. I have had brisket, sliced pork, and pulled pork. My personal favorite is the sliced pork though. Even the smaller lunch-portion at dinner time is plenty of food. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the dining room/rest rooms are a little run down. read more

WOW....this place has gone down hill. This used to be my favorite barbecue place. This location has really let me down. We ordered the Big Feast for dinner (4 of us), and all the food was either burnt or dry. The chicken was both, the ribs were like a piece of leather and the fries were all pretty much old and burnt ends. This use to be mine and my husbands favorite barbecue place in Lake Mary. We would go there every single Friday and get food to go. Unfortunately, the past two Fridays have been very disappointing. It appears as if they have a whole new staff and no one can get anything right. The first time we got home and two of our sides were missing, I should've called and complained but I didn't feel like driving back up there, so we just let it go. This past Friday my husband went inside to grab our order and again two of our sides were missing. Luckily this time he checked the bag before he left. So he went back inside and the girl gave him two side salads, which was what was missing. Once getting home one of the side salads was completely brown lettuce and maybe about six pieces of lettuce, so that side went straight in the garbage, the other side salad was OK but they didn't include our salad dressing. I don't know if there are new owners or if they've just hired a lot of incompetent people. I am very skeptical to go back. At one point this was a five star review from me and as of now I may give it one more shot and then it's time that we find a new barbecue place. read more
