I brought my car here with a very scary engine overheating problem. Joe was attentive, professional, and patient explaining things to me. He was quick to call me back later that day with the diagnosis and price - my car was ready the next day. I want to add that I first took my car problem to Southwest Auto (where I bought the car) and they "couldn't do anything without an engine light on at the time". First off call in for an oil change and they ask if you will need a shuttle. I answered yes. Then you get to the shop and they ask you the exact same question. Like what's the fucking point. When I shuttled the first time trying to make it work on time. They put me in a shuttle with another passenger to go a total of 20 minutes out of the way. Very frustrating. They call at 1:30 to tell me it's ready. I tell Them to Schedule a 3pm shuttle for me. The shuttle text me at 3pm that he won't be there till 3:50pm. Like how dumb can you get. I was warmly greeted by Spencer when I pulled through automated overhead doors, into the climate controlled service center. In addition to fitting me in for my full Dexos synthetic oil change, Spencer had the tech send me a personalized video letting me know they ran a free alignment check for me while I was here today. I had the truck picked out online when in took 10 minutes make sure it was the one andbtest drove it but then sat for 3 hours waiting to buy the truck not once did I see the sales rep after the paperwork. No mention of how much monthly or bank interest. Then got called back to the financial guy and had to do the paperwork twice bc I told him what I was putting down and how many months and he said there was no mention of that so new paperwork. Got the interest from the bank and I said no to that and told him my bank interest so he did beat that but it was a 2% different. He started talking about the price of the truck and I told him about all the rebates and said I was getting them. Walked out after signing the paperwork and notice the last rebate wasn't on there $3200 that he said was already taking off the truck. I know this is my fault but after the dealership lowered my interest so easy they already became a shady dealership. I would never recommend this place and definitely make sure u stop and pause and look at that contract to make sure it's the price that is supposed to be that ur paying. They COULD tell the truth about their cars but they don't. We weren't informed. We were lied to about the rim. It was never even mentioned. Only the sensor. AND they said they replaced that! Discount tire one month later removed the tire and found the busted rim. Tom Kelley could make this right by replacing the rim but they won't. Went in with a car in mind, as well as a pre-approved loan from my bank. Was talked down to for being a woman. Was told "you can't return a car like you can a purse" When I turn down, looking at other cars. Senior salesman/owner was foreseen salesman in training to do a "work sheet" for me regarding a loan through them - despite my multiple times telling them I already have a loan secured with my own bank. They misdiagnosed the issue. And then charged both me and the warranty company for the diagnostic hours. And have now refused to reimburse the diagnostic fees that I paid out of pocket. When I called on Friday to schedule April did not mention a diagnostic fee. I dropped my car off 4/7/25 Alec lied to Jason saying he told me there would be a diagnostic fee. He did not tell me they say I signed a document another lie. Had they told me about the over $200 diagnostic fee upfront I would have got in my vehicle and left because I know I didn't have that amount of cash to pay just for someone to look at my car. I called several times advised Alec to let me know about any fees or costs before anything he still did not mention the diagnostic fee. I feel I like I was taken advantage of they even watched the video and still made me pay the larger amount. I will be contacting an attorney Because of the miscommunication I shouldn't have to pay ot wasn't told to me upfront I will never recommend this place to anyone. Also, Alec is very unprofessional he started yelling at me and sent me on a wild goose chase about where my car was located at. I was looking to buy a truck and had the screenshot from the internet of the price. I was talking with the sales manager and asked him to work numbers with the terms I had requested. when I received the email, the price of the truck was increased from that of the online price and "options being thrown in to get your (my) business" were then added to the price of the vehicle. when I text asking for clarification and included the screenshot of the price of the truck, I got no response. after 2 more requests, I still got no answer. I had caught him in a LIE! and since yesterday have still not heard from the dealership. I doubt even with this review I'll hear anything. IF you're thinking of buying a vehicle, find somewhere else who actually cares about customer service and honesty. Ladies beware! I received a preapproval offer in the mail, and my husband and I decided to go by the dealership to check it out. I personally wasn't involved in the beginning as we hadn't planned on trying to put together a deal now. Once my husband had sent me some info about the Trailblazer that could work for us, I headed inside. Despite being told multiple times that the car would be for me and my husband deferring questions to me, the salesperson continued to mainly address my husband. I said, multiple times, that I was not interested in a vehicle the same size as my current one (current: Honda Pilot, suggested: Traverse). The salesman walked off to check our vehicle for trade-in and left us with a salesman-in- training. The salesman-in-training was lovely. Personable and talked with both of us about the type of vehicle we had said we were interested in (Trailblazer). When the salesman came back, he complained to us about another customer that he was dealing with while looking at our vehicle, then told us to go outside and look at the Traverse (a vehicle that was larger than I said I was interested in). My husband got an earful from me about how I hadn't been listened to and went inside to tell the salesman it was a no go for the Traverse. The next interaction we had with the salesman he pushed the Traverse again. When I said that I was not interested in that size, he blamed my husband for not telling him I wanted something smaller! At that point, I told him that I had also said the same to him directly and left. My husband and I have both worked in sales, and the lack of professionalism and sexism while trying to push a sale was infuriating. We will not be back. read more

I wanted to test drive and make sure I walked away with no doubts. He gave me info on all the cars I drive, he was patient, never rushed me, and was very friendly. I had my own financing and due to the way it all worked out it took a little longer than normal, he never made me feel like I was wasting his time, he even drive me to the bank I needed to go to for the check. Purchased a 2018 Buick Enclave 6/2/20 salesman was Craig Rider, Mgr I also talked to was John Hofmann I told them about the concerns I had with the 3/8" - 1/2" rust that didn't get cleaned off the rotor on the front pass. side and rear driver side rotors they had Roger look at it also he told John the brakes weren't grabbing (hitting the surface) right. John assured me they would have service heck it out this happened on 5/30/20 on 6/1/20 Craig called said everything was checked and working properly. Shook when hitting brakes on highway got home took wheels and calipers off and cleaned the slides still shakes just not as bad as the rotors and pads need changed also. They did nothing to address the issue. As far as I am concerned they are LIARS would never recommend this company for purchasing a used car from. Chuck feel free to call me you should have all my info or ask Craig for it I have since talked with Chuck Kelley and he offered to reimburse me for most of my cost to get everything fixed with the brakes. I bought a 2022 HD High Country with Duramax diesel and am so disappointed in service a Kelley Chevy on Lima Rd. I had my wife take it in for its first oil change and the service people lied to her about it needing fuel filters . Told her it needed cabin air filter and lied .. Told her it needed engine air filter and lied . I told her to make sure they put old filters in back seat ... When she got home , no filters ... total bill was $501 for a oil change ... A week or so ago I went to check out a 2010 challenger they just had come in, was talking to a sales person ( Paul) that i was 20 mins from them and would be there soon. Purchased a used T&C Minivan. Within 48 hours after the purchase the check engine light came on. Took it back to the dealer the next day and they told me what the codes were, in particular an unspecified Transmission Module code. They reset the code and the light came back on within about the same 48 hours. I took the vehicle to another repair shop and they then sent it to Summit Transmission who is now saying the transmission needs to be rebuilt. Talked to the sales person and Kelly's stance is that the car is sold 'as is' and there is NOTHING they'll do about it at this point. Would NOT go back. This was the 3rd car I've purchased from them, but got really burned this time. Also noticed that there is no way to post a review on their website, they decide what reviews are posted. read more

Remember the days when Kelley Chevrolet was located on State Street, and the technicians would call you themselves while they were working on your car, and you would make decisions together, quickly, easily, efficiently? Yaaaaa, those days are over. Now, be prepared to spend days at Kelley, losing hours of your life. My window glitched in August. The first time, I left the lot with a fixed vehicle they said. I got in the car. Windows don't work. More hours the next day, still not fixed. Day three a week later, still unfixed but the technician swears it works, says the desk. It does not. A month, new parts ordered. I go in and wait over an hour to find out that they have ordered the wrong part. Months later, the same thing happens. AGAIN. I made multiple phone calls every week. My car wasnt fixed until January the following year. Sigh, I miss old Kelley, where service was stellar and you didnt have to talk to a line of clueless people to find out the "really good technician" can't do his job. Save your frustration. Brought a CPO 2015 Chevrolet Cruze and brought it in to get serviced because I'm not getting over 17mpg no matter how/where I'm driving. The dealership drove it, for over an hour mind you. They decided to take a road trip in a car we just bought, put 100 miles on the car and told me nothing was wrong with it. So you can imagine, I picked my car up from service having done nothing to it besides joy riding the car and making me head back to the gas station because the car that was sold to me isn't coming even close to the fuel economy it should be getting. The 100 mile road trip they took would make sense until the service employee told me they hooked it up to a machine (which doesn't involve driving it) to check for codes, and they drove it to make sure the transmission was acting correctly....that's it, and neither of those needed 100 mile test drive on a customers car. ..... Not all was bad with our experience, the process of purchasing the vehicle was fairly painless if not a bit long. And the dealership was able to get us a little better rates than we got through our bank. I just hope the service experience isn't a habit. read more

I Wasn't pleased at all with the customer service. It started when I drove into the service area. I wasn't greeted, I had to wait a few minutes to find out where to go for my appointment. I call the following day because no one contacted me about my vehicle. The response I got was that even though I had a 8:00am appointment, that didn't mean my vehicle would be looked at, at 8:00. My vehicle wasn't looked at until 3:00pm and I was then told the technician that had to fix my vehicle wouldn't be there the following day to fix my vehicle. So because of that my vehicle would have to sit for 3/4 days. Totally unacceptable!! read more

I went to the dealership because of the recall on my ignition issued by GM. The person I scheduled the appointment with on the phone failed to tell me to bring all my keys with me (the key was what needed to be altered). Neither the person I talked to on the phone nor the person who helped me once I was there explained what would be done to my keys, and took my key and altered it without warning me that that is what they were going to do (I did not want that specific key to be altered for a personal reason too long and detailed to explain here). Finally, the alteration itself was done incorrectly and broke before I even made it home. I had to make a two trips to the dealership in one day and I live 45min away. All in all, although the people I dealt with were polite, the service I received was not good and I was very, very displeased with the results, not to mention inconvenienced. My one good comment is that the man who helped me throughout the process, Phil, was very polite, respectful and seemed to put some effort into helping me get it sorted out. Unfortunately, the apologetic demeanor didn't translate into actual help. read more

Took my car in to relearn the tire sensor and see why I had a low tire. 1. They didn't relearn it at all after they said they did. 2. Service advisor told me that there was a nail in the tire and should be immediately replaced. Told me it would be approx. $400. I decided to check with Belle Tire where I had a warranty for my tire. When I took it there they checked all of the tires and found absolutely nothing wrong with any of them. Not only did Kelley try to con me out of $400. They also charged me an additional $20 for the "relearning of the tire sensors" which they didn't even perform. They are the most convenient dealership for any service but I'll make sure I go out of my way to avoid them next time. read more

Worst service ever. Car was brought in for a recall notice. Was told it was an all day repair. Appointment time 7 AM. Dropped the car off the night before with a note to evaluate a noise in the dash. By 215 in the afternoon I hadn't heard from any repair guy as to the noise in the dash, so I called them. At first they couldn't find my car and had to call me back after it was located. Was told the repair hadn't even started. ??? Why did I go out of the way to make sure you had the car for the day and I had transportation to work when that wasn't necessary? When I came to pick it up, I stood at the desk for close to 15 minutes before I was then told I was at the wrong cashier. No signage giving any indication there was another cashier. The evaluation bill was more than I was quoted and when I question did the additional charge she could not tell me what the charge was for. They asked if i would like a refund that, yeah refund it, you don't even know what it's for. I paid the bill, was given my keys, told where the car was and then left. I get outside then spent close to five minutes walking around, no car in sight. I go back to the door that is now locked because they're closed. Finally found my car no we are in the vicinity of where they told me it would be. Will NEVER return. read more

The shop survey suggested I copy and paste my review into this site... "My car was in your shop for the recall repairs. I was told I'd receive a call when you got the parts in, and did not. When I came to pick up my car a check engine light was on along with POWER STEERING in my message display. So I came back and asked Josh about it, he took it back to the shop and ushered me into the waiting lounge. Where I wasted another 40 minutes I was not prepare to waste in that place to have him come tell me that transmission codes were set off and said that was odd because the repairs had nothing to do with the transmission and for those codes to go off the car had to be driven...but it has been sitting in your lot for about a month...odd.Also, he told me one of my wheel bearings was making a noise, funny because I had both my front wheel bearings replaced a year ago at your shop....but he couldn't seem to tell me which one it was...convenient. I am terribly dissatisfied with this latest visit to Kelly Chevy. I talked a few of my friends into using this shop to get their recall parts, giving you new business and I get talked down to and bullied because I don't understand cars....cool. I've spent 100's of dollars getting numerous things fixed in this shop but will no longer be frequenting this establishment." If you're a female, don't dare step into this shop. Go to any other dealership in Fort Wayne this was a horrible customer service experience for our recent warranty work. Kelley Chevrolet had done waaranty work for us in the past, but this time refused to do the work because the warranty was purchsed from a different dealership. They proceeded to do service they were told not to do, and did not tell us they would not do the warranty work untill 4 o-clock Friday afternoon (our initial conversation was at 8 am). The phone call at 4 consisted of them letting me know they would not do the warranty work and that I could pick up the vehicle after I paid there diagnostic and the service charges for service we did not ask for. From there I was met with a rude customer service manager that was not willing work with us at all and proceeded to hold the car hostage and not release the keys until we paid over the phone. I will never do business with this company again. It is too bad these guys are representing what used to be a good company. Fort Wayne is a small town, trust and customer service are a huge part of vehicle service and purchases I will not be doing either with Kelley Chevrolet they have lost any and all creditbillity with me. I would recomend calling any of the other chevrolet dealerships around town unless you like involuntary service done and your car being held hostage. read more

Purchased a 2007 Chevy Impala LTZ the first of June. I realize this car was used, but it appears to have been completely passed over for any type of inspection before it was put on the lot. This is what we have had done in the last 30 days: The first day I drove it off the lot, the battery died and stranded myself and my children at night. The salesperson was able to get us a new battery free of charge, which we appreciated. When we took it in to have the battery replaced, it appeared that they never even changed the oil, which the service guy at the computer confirmed and so we also got a free oil change that day. Replaced both right and left mufflers Replaced all 4 tires which were so bad the inside of the tire was raw 4 Wheel alignment, which required some type of new pin because the alignment was so bad that something was bent. Brakes were warped and needed replaced Kept hearing a pop every time I turned right and discovered that the stabilizer bar was broken and rusted on the left side. When I paid for the alignment, which was over $200 at the dealership, I told the cashier that this was the first and last time I would ever shop at Kelley. She told me that the condition it's in when it ends up on the lot is up to the manager, I don't remember if she said sales manager or what manager she meant, but said that I should complain. At the time, I was willing to just say, it's a used car, but now after putting over $1200 into it, I'm downright mad. Shame on you Kelley Chevrolet!!! read more

Just a terrible experience from start to finish. They had to replace the torque converter seal on my wife's car. They left bolts on the wiper cowl. Took the car back they said that the tech lost the bolt and ordered a new one when the car was in originally and he replaced it. So the bolt we found was replaced supposedly. I get home and look at the car again and guess what still missing a bolt. Called the service manager and get it towed back to the shop again. They had the car for a total of 2 hours that includes the tow both ways which I happen to live 15-20 mins away but a "master" tech looked at it. The service manager promised to call me back to let me know what was going on with the car and surprise surprise no call. I get a call from my mother saying they delivered the car back. They just really dropped the ball on this one. God only knows what else is missing and or not torqued correctly. Don't buy from here or get your car serviced here. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with any of the Kelley Chevrolet locations. I chose this location because it was the closest to me. I took my car in to get my infotainment system fixed because it had completely died after only owning it for 6 months. I took my car in at 1:45pm on a Thursday, they said they'd call me in an hour for my diagnosis. Before I left to run some errands I told them I needed my car back by the end of the day and they said it would be no problem. 3:00 rolls around and there's no call, so I called just to check up on it, no answer so I left a message. At 4:55 (5 minutes before they close) finally get a call saying that they found the issue and they were going to keep my car until the part came in (which would make me wait 4 days). Usually that wouldn't be an issue, but since I'm under the age of 21 I can't get a loaner. I called the next day to see if they were willing to put my car back together so I could drive it for the weekend since it was just the radio that was broken, and they said no. I don't understand, they were willing to put it back together the day before but couldn't because they were about to close, but the day after they refuse??? Makes no sense to me, and I'm now still trying to get ahold of them since I'm supposed to pick up my car today!! This is ridiculous and embarrassing read more

There were complimentary drinks and popcorn and the repair work was very minimal, so I am sure the service was fine.
