Called Residential Express the following morning, they pulled up my quote from 4 months prior, verified the price hadn't changed and were able to schedule me for a full HVAC replacement the next day. Freddie and Flavian arrived on time and were very professional moving through our house and working in our backyard and utility closet. They explained any changes they needed to make, went over the new setup and recommended service intervals, and hauled all of the old equipment away, leaving our house looking better than when they arrived. Very happy with our experience with Residential Express and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

New HVAC filter, reset breaker. Thermostat batteries are fine. Still not kicking on. Sent Yelp message to RES because they have always been quick to respond. And they did this time as well and the woman who gave me a call was nice and tried to help. Pretty disappointed that they can't quickly swing by today. From what I've read, it's likely a dirty flame sensor or the ignitor switch (neither of which is a long job - I just don't have the tools). HVAC less than 5 years old, so parts are under warranty with RES; however, I had to call someone else. Bottom line: Someone else is coming today, but I could end up paying for parts. Kind of feels like my current needs weren't lucrative enough for RES to make a concerted effort to swing by.

John came out and was very straight forward and up front with everything he did. He explained the issue to me, how he would fix it, and even provided some recommendations I may want to do in the future. My second time I used Bluestar was on a Sunday and they are closed on Sunday's. I did not realize this at first and left them a voicemail in the morning. Realizing they were closed I called another company who would have charged me more than Bluestar to come out later that afternoon to look at the problem which was that my Nest Thermostat was giving an E73 error code meaning it was not getting power. To my surprise I received a call from John at Bluestar that afternoon prior to the other HVAC company coming out. I discussed my thermostat issue not getting power with John and he suggested several troubleshooting fixes I could try over the phone. After eliminating several causes of what the problem may be John suggested holding down the front panel cover switch to the unit to see if a power light was coming on. In doing this I noticed sometimes the light would come on and sometimes it would not. There seemed to be a loose connection in the a wire that was causing the switch not to supply power. After playing with the switch for a few minutes I got the power to stay on and the problem was fixed. John solved my problem and saved me a good deal of money as I canceled my appointment with the other HVAC company. John took over 20 minutes talking to me on the phone going above an beyond to help me solve my AC issue on the day the company is closed. I would highly recommend BluStar to anyone and will use them for all my future HVAC needs.

They are exactly what was sent, with my email address, phone number, and home address redacted. The first issue with my new HVAC system required 4-5 service visits over multiple days before it was resolved. After the issue was resolved, I repeatedly asked about FH Furr's advertised $500 No Frustration Guarantee. I never received a callback or any type of explanation--they simply ignored it. The second incident was even more frustrating. After my service request had already been pending for over 24 hours, my appointment was pushed back another five days during a heat wave because a specific technician was apparently needed. I called back to ask if another technician could be sent sooner because waiting five more days was not acceptable with 95+ degree temperatures and the upstairs reaching around 80 degrees with two young kids. At the same time, I asked that a manager contact me to discuss my concerns with how the situation had been handled up to that point. I was repeatedly told someone would call me back (twice by phone and once through a technician), but nobody ever did. I followed up with two detailed emails to document the issue and give FH Furr the opportunity to handle it, including asking again about the $500 No Frustration Guarantee. Those have also gone unanswered. If you end up with an issue requiring anything beyond dispatching a technician, don't expect management to follow through. At this point, their $500 No Frustration Guarantee feels more like a sales promise they have no intention of honoring. Every technician who came to my home was professional and did everything they could to help. They are not the reason for this review. This review is entirely about FH Furr's management and customer service. The true quality of a company is revealed when something goes wrong. And in this case it did and…read morethe results were bad. I hired the company to repair my washer. Diagnosis visit was great. Not so good after that. First repair appointment was cancelled during my scheduled appointment window because the part wasn't in yet. Second repair appointment, Mohamed showed up for the repair only to realize he had picked up the wrong part. The worst part was how he handled it. He said he had to drive back to Alexandria to get the right part. I had another contractor appointment at another property and told him my schedule was very challenging. He immediately became angry and literally started yelling at me. Said he was very busy too and this was messing up his whole schedule, exclaiming that it wasn't his fault. I was hoping to discuss our schedules to figure something out but he was losing it. I was trying to figure out what to do and he was yelling, "decide! decide!". Overwhelmed, I decided I would tell him go get it and come back and I'd try to figure out a solution in the meantime. After he left, I messaged the company and asked that they send another tech. They didn't have another tech. They refused to answer the phone and were not apologetic. Fortunately I was able to get my husband to come home from work and be there. At this point I was very upset and didn't ever want to see that man again. When Mohamed returned he fixed the dryer and apologized to my husband, but not to me, even though he was still texting me. Said he was really stressed. A little over a month later the part failed. It made me sick that we had to go back to the same company. They again said they didn't have another tech so again I had my husband be there for the appointment. I realized that likely there is only one Mohamed and the owner and tech are the same person. In spite of everything that had happened - the canceled appointment during the appointment time, showing up with the wrong part and yelling at me for it - he charged us $79 trip charge to replace the failed part. Said his labor warranty was 30 days. Here he had an opportunity to do something to compensate for his previous behavior and last minute cancellations, but he chose not to. I will never use this company again and do not recommend at all. So many good reviews but when things go wrong, beware.
