It is unfortunate that the sales people don't tell customers this information in advance, but at least when you realize it, you can usually return everything and have them re-ring it so you get the deal. But, it is absolutely scammy when they don't tell you and it's a "final sale". I saw a lady in this store today buy multiple items only to find out that she did not get the deal she thought she was getting because of the way the transaction was rung up. Because it was a "final" sale, the man ringing her up said he couldn't help her and it was too late. The sale was final. Whether that was really true or not doesn't matter as much as how the sales person treated this customer. He had no empathy and really was not a nice person about it. After the lady left, he said "why do I care what happens, the stores closing and I'm not going to be here anyway." It's such a commentary on how some people just can't be kind. How hard would it be to tell customers ahead how best to have their transactions rung up to get the deal or at least be kind when the customer feels very wronged? I really don't know what is wrong with people these days. I hope this lady disputes this transaction with her credit card company because I'm sure she will be given the accurate amount she would have gotten with a proper checkout process, but with everything happening in the world today, it so sad to see that a young man couldn't have been a nicer human.

She was kind of all over the place and it made what was supposed to be a simple pick up into a long, frustrating experience. Madlen was so confused about our pick up even though I explained several times we had two separate orders, one that was ready for pick up and another that was still processing. Her focus was on the wrong order. Another visit: On Saturday 5/29, my partner and I dropped by the showroom to return one of the rings we purchased due to a quality issue, and again, Madlen was there and proceeded to help us with the return. She did not walk me through the return process. I asked for a receipt and she said the receipt will come via email. Upon checking my email receipt later, I realized it was just a drop off receipt, no indication of a return/refund processed. I needed to call their customer service team to get further instructions on the process. While we loved the rings we picked out, the service needs work. The quality wasn't there, and sadly, we're unlikely to be back at all. Really wished it was a better experience for my fiance and I.

She asked so many questions about what I'm looking for and what's most important to me. She also was genuinely interested in our relationship and who we are. I left toward the last 15 minutes of the appointment so Lyss could talk to my boyfriend about pricing and logistics and he said she was not pushy at all to sell. We were offered waters and chocolates, and each consultant in there was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was truly a great environment. Here you don't have that and no waiting and no shipping and no porch pirates. Some couches and snoopy stuff - holiday stuff - Valentines day - if you need this kind of thing stop by. Motivation to buy exists too - if you wait it might be gone next week and they don't replace and stock a bunch of the same thing.

It is a really nice department store that sells Men's, Women's, Junior's, and Children's clothing, cosmetics, shoes, toys, books and gifts. They also had a sale going on for clothing. The staff greeted us when we walked in. The inside was one huge space that was decide into different departments. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful displays of stationary and gifts right when we walked into the store. This store reminded of me of a store called Gottschalks department store that used to exist in Fresno California. They closed in the early 2000's. I loved that store and this place brought back many good memories of shopping there. Everything was so orderly and displayed so beautifully. The staff were exceptionally personable and friendly. I loved it here! They had a really nice men's department and shoe department. I didn't have a chance to thoroughly look at the women's section. I'll have to do that, the next time I come. I loved the kitchen items they had on display for entertaining. I ended up finding some really cute kitchen towels with kitty's all over them. I also found a nice baseball style hat with a lovely floral design on it, in the stationary section. They had lots of great gift ideas and unique items. I would definitely come here again in the future. I saw online that they have more locations in the North and East Bay, as well as Stockton. I hope to check out some of the other locations when I'm visiting those cities.

How much does a tissue paper cost?…read more Today I took my 83 year old mother out shopping to buy a baby shower stuffed animal. Her total purchase was $31. (2 stuffed animals purchased separately) I also purchased 3 baby books totaling $31. My mother asked for one of the stuffed animals to be wrapped in tissue paper to stay clean, and the woman who assisted her was very friendly and very accommodating to her disabled condition. However, the manager, D.Green, who checked us out at the register was reluctant to give us one more piece of tissue paper for the second stuffed animal when my mother asked for it - because it did not make the $20 minimum purchase gift wrap requirement. My mother did not ask for it to be gift wrapped. She asked for a piece of tissue paper, just so the fuzzy animal stayed clean. When the manager told my mother the purchase did not qualify for a piece of tissue paper, I spoke up and said I just bought $31 of books, does that qualify? She replied, 'no, that's on a different receipt' We left without the piece of tissue paper. I called the Store, and coincidently the Manager is who checked us out. I spoke to her because my mother was very upset and is a local resident. I do not live in the area. The manager stated she was following the policy. McCaulou's on Clayton Road just lost a local customer over a 5 cent piece of tissue paper! As a Manager myself I would never argue with a customer over a piece of tissue paper. The woman who wrapped the first gift was great, the Manager, however, needs customer service training as we were not rude or inconsiderate at any time towards her or any staff members.

We were preparing for an upcoming funeral, and I needed help with an expensive gold frame I had purchased from Hobby Lobby. One of the corners had separated, and I wanted to know whether the framing department could repair or reinforce it. Because the frame was large and heavy, I left it in my trunk until I confirmed that someone could help. My mother-in-law waited nearby so she could rest while my daughter accompanied me to the framing counter. I approached the employee working in the framing department and asked if he could assist me. His first response was, "I'm off in six minutes - what do you need?" The tone immediately caught me off guard. As I began explaining that the corner of the frame had broken apart and needed reinforcement, he interrupted me and said, "Stop. Just hurry up and tell me what you need." I was surprised because I was simply trying to explain the issue so he could determine whether it was something the framing department could fix. I told him the frame was needed for a funeral and asked if it could be repaired. Instead of addressing my question, he asked why my husband couldn't fix it. I explained that my husband is currently deployed, so he wasn't available to help, and that while I would try to repair it myself if necessary, I also work full-time. His response was simply, "So do I." At that point, it was clear that helping me was not a priority. What made the interaction even more upsetting was that my 4-year-old daughter asked afterward, "Mommy, why was that man so mean? Why didn't he want to help us?" Hearing that from my child was heartbreaking. I told her that maybe he was having a difficult day because I wanted her to understand that we should still try to show kindness to others. I shared my experience with the manager, who told me that this employee often tells others how important it is to be friendly with customers. Unfortunately, that was not reflected in the interaction we experienced. Thankfully, we went to Ace Hardware afterward, where an employee immediately took the time to help us. He recommended reinforcing the frame with small metal corner brackets, nails, and gold spray paint. His advice worked perfectly, and we were able to save the frame in time for the funeral. This review isn't about expecting perfection. Everyone has stressful days. It's about the importance of treating people with basic courtesy and respect, especially when they may already be going through a difficult time. A little kindness can make all the difference. Unfortunately, that was missing from our experience at Hobby Lobby.

You mean I can't buy something for , let's say 600 dollars and use the original 500 dollars to that purchase!? Nah... they want you to match your first purchase price.
