I cannot say enough good things about Shane Co. I bought my wife's original ring and diamond from them 15 years ago, upgraded it at year 7, and surprised her with another beautiful upgrade last October for our 15th anniversary. Unfortunately, last week she called me crying her heart out--the entire diamond and crown had somehow fallen off her ring. We were absolutely devastated. I immediately called the store, bracing myself for a stressful process, but the manager on staff, Cynthia, completely turned the situation around. She was incredibly kind, immediately assured me that the lost diamond was fully covered under their warranty, and invited me to come into the store the very next day. When I arrived, another manager, Simon, took great care of me. He patiently and expertly assisted me in choosing a gorgeous new stone and setting for my wife to replace the lost one. To say their customer service is fantastic would be a massive understatement. I honestly never expected a lost stone to be covered under warranty, but Shane Co. truly stands behind their jewelry and goes above and beyond for their long-time customers. Leila was a great sales person. I believe another gentleman named Adrian (maybe?) helped me at first, he was also very friendly. I want to thank them both for making my transaction quick and easy. It was very busy on a Monday in the early afternoon which I wasn't expecting, so Leila was helping multiple guests. She communicated that very clearly to me which I appreciated. Even while helping multiple people at once, I didn't find myself waiting around, she checked back frequently and was genuinely nice. Shoutout to Leila for being great at her job! There's also a great variety of options at this location. You can check if items are in stock on the website prior to coming into the store which is nice. Parking lot is pretty small though but I still found parking pretty easily. Overall I was happy with my visit to this location. Multiple staff checked in with me and made sure I was being helped. I had such an incredible experience at Shane Co. today and had to leave a review. I came in with a ring that I actually purchased from a different jeweler because something still wasn't right with it after multiple "repairs." The original store had already tried to fix it three times, and the ring was still missing a diamond and the setting didn't look right. Tiana took the time to carefully look at the ring and immediately showed me exactly what was wrong with it. She explained everything so clearly and even told me specifically what I should ask the original jeweler to do to properly fix it. I truly appreciated how honest and helpful she was, especially considering I didn't even buy the ring from Shane Co. She and Char were both incredibly kind and welcoming. While I was there, Tiana also showed me some of the wedding bands they carry, and honestly it made me wish I had just shopped there from the beginning. When I originally came to Shane Co. while looking for wedding bands, I remember having such a magical experience, and now I really regret not purchasing from them. Lesson learned... I recently went to Shane Co. in Walnut Creek to get new rings. Char Persaud was the jewelry consultant assigned to me and he was AMAZING! I went in with the rings I wanted to look at but when I put them on my finger, the diamonds were too big next to the ring I was trying to match it with. Char had another ring in mind and that ring ended up being perfect next to the ring I was trying to match. Char really took his time helping me and didn't try to rush me. He cleaned all of the jewelry that I was wearing (2 of the rings weren't from Shane Co.), and he even found that my wedding ring had a missing prong and 2 of the stones in my other ring were loose! When I was telling him how I wanted a fancy yellow diamond, I pointed to one that they had but it was pear shaped and I needed a radiant or emerald cut. Well, in his spare time, he searched for the fancy yellow diamond that I wanted and less than 8 hours after I left the store, he sent me a link to one he found that was at another Shane Co. He's having it shipped to the Walnut Creek store and it should be there in 2 days. Now that's what I call going above and beyond! Charan was amazing! He warmly greeted us as soon as we entered the store and was happy to assist us with any questions or requests we had. Charan provided quick and effective assistance and got us on our way in good time. All staff were "on the ball" and responsive- another member approached to confirm we were being helped after they saw us waiting at the counter when Charan had stepped away to provide the assistance we needed. The store is clean, spacious, and well decorated. It's an elegant and classy establishment, just like their products! I was happy to learn there are bathrooms available- the store goes back father than I thought! I had a pleasant visit and all my needs were met. I visited today, Saturday, May 31, 2025, and Allyson helped us. I came just for my regular cleaning and inspection, but I brought my mother with me. She recently inherited her mother's wedding ring after my grandmother's death, and Allyson was so sympathetic and sensitive and made the experience for my mom so thoughtful. My mom wanted to have the ring resized, and they also cleaned and inspected it. One of the diamonds had been replaced before by Shane Co, but they are not the original jeweler. I want to give a huge shoutout to both Caleb and Char. I went in looking for an engagement ring and had the pleasure of being helped by Caleb. We spent a good 3 hours going through different rings and styles, along with looking at many many different stones. Caleb explained the different rankings of the stones very thoroughly and was patient throughout the whole process. I later returned to get some sizing modifications after the proposal and Char made the whole process incredibly simple. He had us try and compare sizes to see what's comfortable yet still has some resistance. We needed the ring ready ASAP due to an upcoming trip. Char went to the back room to spoke with the team that performs the modifications, and later came back letting us know to come back the next day to pick it up! Also, he even brought out the microscope and put the stone under it so we can see the laser engravings, we were having a hard time seeing it with the handheld piece. Treated like a second class citizen once I told them what I needed. Sure it's not their ring, but I came to them for business, I was paying for it. I have a real 10 karat gold ring, with three stone in it. It's my wedding ring. An alexandrite, and two moon stones. No problems for three years, but my hand got stuck in something while at work, and one of my moonstones fell out. I had the stone, I just needed the prong fixed and the stone put back in. The rep talked down to me, saying since Shane Co doesn't deal with "whatever these stones are, mood stones?" I said "MOON stone. It's a pretty common gemstone." He said they can't confirm what stone it is somehow because they don't use them? But they'll take my money to fix it anyway so I tried to brush it off. What kind of jeweler can't tell what a moon stone is? But when I got my ring back, it wasn't even clean. It still had some sort of putty in it, and was greasy. They couldn't even be bothered to throw it in their cleaning machine afterwards. I paid for their service- over $100 for it. So why was I, and my ring, treated so poorly? This is not the first time I was treated this way but I thought it might have been a one time thing- but now I know better. I don't appreciate being looked down on. Never going here again. read more
