A few weeks ago my ex (of 7 years) called my cell and asked to come over right away. She had a sound of desperation in her voice and she didn't provide any details with her urgent call. Like an optimistic chump I grabbed my car keys and headed to her place with a sense of optimism in my heart. I arrived at her new furnished apartment with expectation of reconcile for the holidays. Instead I met a pool of sewage that was coming up from her tub. I quickly realized she viewed as a convenient handyman at her beckon call. :( I looked deeply into her eyes and said "honey; this will be a dirty job and it would be best to leave for a long movie . I will call when it is done." She flashed her Bambi eyes to me with a quick flutter and skipped to her car; with a knowledge that I will be dealing with her plumbing problem. Like a man !! Best plumber I've ever dealt with. Heard about him from a friend and was promised I could trust him with my kids. If I had kids, I would absolutely trust the guy with them. He made me totally comfortable inviting him into my house and he immediately figured out where the leak was coming from and knocked out the repair within an hour. Not that I want another plumbing issue anytime soon, but next time I do I know I'll be calling a person I know with expertise, not a company with a huge fleet of "certified" guys. A friend of mine (who knows a bit about plumbing) once told me that the best way to solve the plumbing issues in my "old" house was to "get a newer house." A fine idea, however not very practical....We don't need a new house just a GREAT plumber. Kenny Rogers Plumbing is just that. 2 weeks ago we woke up to a broken water heater, by lunch we had hot water again. Yesterday we had a slightly smaller issue in our shower and by this morning that too is fixed. I have used Kenny for years. He has done work in our previous house, installing a water heater and garbage disposer. The house that I now live in had all the plumbing redone by Kenny and his staff. Kenny even installed a warm water spigot outside for washing our dog. He has always been very timely with the work that needed to done. A couple of months ago when I needed a new water heater I gave him a call. He was over in a couple of hours and checked the heater out and went over the pro's and con's of different types of heaters. OK, Kenny didn't do our work, so a 5-star might be premature, but after I wrote the initial review 2 things happened: 1) Kenny actually CALLED THAT NIGHT to see how I'd done with interviewing contractors, if I had any other questions, etc. I know. Whaaat? and 2) His referrals turned out to be very different from each other, but both good. We went with Water Quality Plumbing, and - following Kenny's advice - we knew what questions to ask, including asking them to take $1,000 off the price if we dug the trench ourselves. They did, we dug, and it was such a pain in the a** that it would've probably been worth $1,000 for us to have them do it! Anyway, that's beside the point. The real point is, Kenny helped us through what was a really crappy situation, and even though he couldn't come and do the actual work he will always be a super-star in my book. I hope I can get on his calendar to plumb our bathroom remodel! read more

Contacted Kenny on a recommendation from a friend that had work done. I had 2 bids out for replacing the main sewer line from the house to the city connection (street). Kenny came out same day, reviewed the layout, suggested a much less intrusive way to accomplish the task, and his bid was 40% lower than others (a big deal when your talking thousands for a sewer line)! Other bids included tearing up 15 feet of aggregate walkway and pipe bursting. Kenny explained the good and bad about these options, and laid out a plan, that did no concrete, plant, or sprinkler damage. Truly awesome when you think about the tight spaces. Kenny left to check another job and said he call that night with timing and the final price. He called on time and we agreed on the price. Kenny's crew showed up at 8am the next day and started to set up, and his foreman explained everything to me in real terms. They had already conducted a city survey and all was marked and good to go. All in all these guys are professional, timely, and left nothing to clean up. Very please and highly recommend for a tough job like sewer systems, but also his crew is top of the line when it comes to standard house plumbing. Kenny was recommended to me by a building inspector. Who better to give me a recommendation? My toilet clogged up and I called Kenny. They were quick and at that point the price was right. A month later the toilet clogged up again late at night and of course I called Kenny. I freaked when the bath tub backed up with sewage. He was busy, but sent someone with in an hour. We found out the reason of the toilet clogging. My mom was using baby wipes and flushing them down. We had to pay for overtime because it was so late in the evening, but still I felt it was worth it. Needless to say, my mom can't have any more baby wipes. My water heater needed to be replaced and my mother wanted a tankless. We have a large soaker tub that she likes to use and my water tank doesn't work for the soaker tub. We were flexible since my water heater still worked. I got three bids for the tankless and Kenny was the only one who gave me an estimate via email (I showed him plans of my home with the gas line on it). I like that since I didn't have to take off work (his bid was the best too). He and several others of his employees came out to install the tankless water heater the following week. We were without water for only a couple of hours. They installed a new dedicated gas line and relocated to new water heater to a better and safer location. Once they were done, they cleaned up after themselves and took my old water heater too. My mother tested the endless supply of hot water the follow day and she loves it. But dumpy me forgot to tell them our fireplace is gas, so the pilot light to the fireplace went out too. I called Kenny and he sent one of his guys within an hour and he got the fireplace running too. You can't go wrong using Kenny Rogers Plumbing. Any time someone asks me, for a name of a plumber, I will be giving them Kenny's name and number. I keep his number in my emergency people to call, because if he can't get there, he probably will know someone who can. Thanks Kenny. read more
