Unbelievable behavior in our home. For example, at the end of the appointment they oddly addressed only me to test the shower when my wife and I were together. When my wife clarified "only him?" The tech confirmed "yes only him" and not in any kind of a friendly joking way. Feels like a combination of just plain rudeness and sexism. Aggressive, Scary, Sexist, Unprofessional Behavior. My initial interaction with Octavio was him yelling "ENGLISH" when I said welcome and please take off your shoes. He did not introduce himself, ask to enter, or ask where the problem was. Octavio proceeded to stomp into the kitchen. I asked where he was going. He asked argumentatively: "Isn't the kitchen here?" To which I responded it was and there was no problems there. His response was to shout: "I AM LEAVING!" This interaction is taking my time from work and is very scary. It would have been professionally appropriate for him to introduce himself and go to work on the problem instead of creating conflict and taking more of my time. Ultimately, he returned, now insisted I go ahead of him after he just physically trampled through my home. I felt physically unsafe. On unacceptable sexist behavior, Octavio contacted my spouse (who was not home) with his eta. I requested my spouse return home as I felt scared by Octavio's aggressive behavior and yelling. Now both spouses are missing work. When my spouse arrived, Octavio excitedly and happily said: "What's up Man?" This is the first time I heard him not yelling. Then, he would only speak to the male appearing spouse to check the repair (not the head of household managing the repair). He shouted "ONLY HIM" in my face when he blatantly disrespected the family by only addressing one spouse when we were intentionally standing side by side. This flagrantly sexist and scary behavior needs to be addressed at the highest level. I strongly recommend not hiring this individual or allowing him in your home. read more

Octavio Chavez/"The Real OC" responded to my call for service last Friday at 7 p.m. to do an emergency repair of the copper supply line to my house. I was one hour away from him and out of his service area but he agreed to do so for an appropriate price. He arrives fully prepared to do the job which he accomplished quickly, and was able to restore water supply to my home that evening. He was even kind enough to bring a piece of sheet rock and mud to repair the hole that I had cut to access the site for repair. I haven't received a master class in copper pipe repair, sweating technique. I can't think I'm enough and appreciate his work and professionalism. Off hours, night time emergency work by plumbers that are going out of their service area is not cheap, but it is priceless! Note to self don't put holes in copper piping on Friday night. read more

I was performing a pre-construction treatment for Termites at a commercial property the day before the concrete was planned to be poured and need a lot of water. Octavio saved the day configuring a setup so I can pull water from the fire hydrant attaching a valve that records as a water meter so I could fill up my 50g tank allowing me to complete the project. OC plumbing was assigned to us by our home warranty program - and thank goodness for that. Diego and Alex came over on short notice to take a look at our drainage situation. We had slow water drainage and weird bubbling in the toilet anytime the shower runs. They were unable to locate the drain-outs and hence did a high-pressure-water clean from the sewage vent in the roof. Once that was done, they passed a snake camera to assess the root cause. What we saw on the camera surprised us! We had severe tree roots clogging the clay joints. This apparently happens after years of tree growth and weak old-school clay joints which crack and let the root in. Regardless, he gave us a good quote - included pulling permits, labor & parts for replacing entire sewage line to SDR17 pipes (more durable, earthquake proof) and adding 2 clean outs (one for the house, and one for the city). Diego and Oscar worked tirelessly all day and got the work done in about 8 hours. They added a new pipe while breaking the old pipe, in place. Meant minimal digging. They were efficient, on time and effective. We still have some tree roots blocking the pipe that leads to the city mainline, they are helping us set up appointment with the City to get it cleaned out. Overall, we are satisfied with their work and especially since they give lifetime warranty, we feel comfortable investing in this one-time fix to change the entire sewage pipes. read more

OC Plumbing is the best... look no further if you want quality craftsmanship and honest price. We used yelp to send out requests for quotes and Octivio sent us a quick reply. My needs were not urgent, with only drip, drip, drip to our exterior pipes. We scheduled the apt for 2 days out. The day of, received a message that Alex the technician, was on the way and was within the 2 hour window. Wjen he arrived, he provided options and costs. We found it to be very competitive. However, since he was already there and ready to work my gutt said "go for it", plus Alex just had that good vibe going. Our job was a little complex as Alex had to redo shotty work from a prior company, galvanized pipes.. but he kept on working through. Then out of the blue, there was a change request.. home owner changed her mind.. and Alex flowed right on through and made the changes requested. I feel bad if he was late to his next apt. Not one complaint from Alex, he just kept working. I would give him a 10 if possible. My favorite part of this entire experience, besides excellent craftsmanship, was the excellent communication with Alex, and together we discussed all options to make the customer happy. Spoke with Alex. Called late afternoon on a Friday and Alex was very friendly and helpful in working to schedule someone for a clogged kitchen sink/laundry drain. Service was impeccable. Received a text within 3 minutes that someone was already scheduled and on the way. Not bad for a 5 pm call on a Friday! Within 20 minutes Diego was onsite and helping to jet the cleanout to break up all the grease that has built up over the years. Less than an hour from the initial call, work was finished and all drains were back to normal. Even if I had to wait several hours I would have been equally impressed. We had a very bad experience with OC Plumbing yesterday since he came for a couple plumbing issues we had in our house including water heater problem. The technician ,or owner Octavio was very rude and unprofessional from the first moment he arrived in our address since he kept on "lecturing me" and kept saying "listen , listen", and he was yelling and raising his voice. We ended up asking him to leave our house after he collected the deductible and the most crucial job was our water heater which was leaking, and now we don't have hot water for a few more days until we get the next plumbing company to come on. He was suppose to drain the water from water heater after he was paid, but he refused to do it after he was paid since we was angry that we didn't want him do the all job. He acted as if he was the only plumbing company in the area. I do not want anybody else to go through the problem we went through with his company. read more

I had a kitchen sink issue and ended up having to buy a replacement faucet, the guy at OC was great and installed it without any problems. At first I wanted to only repair what was already installed in my kitchen, however the previous installation from 4 years ago was poorly done and needed to be changed. So under the recommendation of OC it was better to get the faucet replaced and it didn't cost too much for it to be done. No more leaks!
