Worked with Ribbs Plumbing on replacing toilet and for sewer inspection. While I had the appointment scheduled, We had a water leak. David from Ribbs plumbing promptly assigned Chris and CJ to my case and both Cris and CJ handled the issue professionally. They removed the heater and fixed the leak inside the wall. They also connected me with a restoration company to help manage the leak impact. Later for re-installing the heater they sent out Tim so that we could have hot water. We noticed that a puddle was forming under the water hose of our front yard. We had a 2nd Bday party planned within a week and were concerned. We called Ribbs Plumbing and spoke with David. He came out to look at the leak. He pointed out we have galvanized pipe and it was corroded. It was flaking off and eventually would break. We did not want to chance it happening at the party, or after hours creating a bigger expense. He had the city come out and spray areas where existing pipes were within the hour. We got three quotes and David was able to lower his price to beat competitors. They got to work the next day (Wednesday) our party was Saturday and before they could fill holes and complete, a inspection from the city was needed. We had appt scheduled Tuesday. Being bummed out cause now a huge hole was on our yard and sidewalk. David said if someone cancels he will get them to come out before party. Friday morning David called and said someone cancelled are we interested. Excited, we said yes. He had the inspection done and the holes were fixed same day. Needless to say, we had the party with no messy yard or holes. Very grateful! Everything was done in a timely matter and all the workers were very pleasant. I called to have a drip on my Roman Tub fixed. I was charged $149 for a diagnostic visit then another $149 for a return visit to install cartridges. After paying Ribbs Plumbing $677.50 David Nathan has been unable to stop the drip from the faucet. I am terribly disapointed with the service I received from Ribbs Plumbing and will probably never call them again. Next time I will call Mike Counsel plumbing he knows how to fix plumbing problems. read more

We specifically requested Tim Vu who had done a previous job at our house and had done an excellent job. We were able to schedule an early morning appointment for the next day. I called Ribbs Plumbing at 6:30 pm because of water leak in my bathroom which had also leaked into the unit below. Chris came out at 8 pm and diagnosed the problem and turned off the water to prevent further issues. While he was there, I also asked him to check the kitchen sink because I thought there might be a leak there as well. Chris was very thorough in diagnosing the problems and communicating them to me. The toilet needed to be replaced, the kitchen faucet, the garbage disposal and the bathroom faucet. He sent me photos before along with the estimate for the work to completed and he sent me photos after the work was completed, All the work took place the next day by Chris and Rudi. Horrible experience - very dishonest business practices. I had a main line blockage and called their technician over. The technician came on time and seemed interested in solving the problem. But as soon as he took a look at the clean-out, he said he would need to replace the clean-out in my house to clear the blockage because the clean-out was "too narrow" for the cable machine to go in. He gave me a quote for 1700$ and half-a-day of work for a minor block!! I called another friend of mine who was a plumber and he used a smaller cable machine to clear the block in 5 minutes and charged me 300$. Needless to say, I will be staying away from RPS in the future. read more

We are extremely satisfied with the work provided by Tim Vu and his crew Angel and David at RPS. When our sewer backed up, an inspection by RPS hours later revealed mud inside our sewer line. Our home had its sewer line redone by the previous owner less than 10 years ago, but it failed at a joint due to bad workmanship. Muddy soil from recent rain was clogging the line. We opted for a full replacement. The previous job was done without permits and without a property line cleanout -- and the replacement would be with permits, with a property line cleanout, and would fix all of the previous line's grading issues. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work needed. We were quoted a similar amount by another plumber who would not have pulled permits. RPS completed this major project on time and on budget. They even were extra careful to work around our landscaping by relocating small plants, using care excavating around trees, and using pipe burst as much as possible to avoid digging up the entire line. The pipe burst occurred during a massive rain storm and they stayed late into the evening to have everything ready for an early city inspection the next morning. The team restored our landscaping and took care to ensure the backfill was properly compacted. After the work was complete, Tim was super helpful in providing statements required by our insurance company to have the work reimbursed. This was in addition to extremely detailed notes and photographs (over 40 pages including photos) of the work in progress Tim and his team already provided. We are especially thankful for all of these details because it clearly demonstrated evidence of a covered loss. We would have been unable to access thousands of dollars of insurance benefits if these detailed photographs were not provided. We are about to begin more work on our property and I am very glad to be extending a properly graded and installed system which was inspected by the city with proper permits. read more

I came to know RPS from another yelp review. Although they charge for coming out I think it's well worth it. My bathtub water stopper is not working, stuck there, Tim was able to swap out the pipes from crawlspace. The price is very reasonable. The house is really old and the cast-iron pipes are in really bad shape. Over the years every plumber that looked at this suggested to swap all pipes in crawlspace, only Tim found out that one bathroom has newer pipes and only need to swap out partial, which cut down cost significantly. This is the third time I've used Ribbs. They are very good about showing up when they say they will show up. China was very pleasant to deal with over the phone and she even called me 30 minutes before the technician showed up in order to let me know he was on his way. They had to repair the same spot that they looked at last year. They had pictures and records of the work they did last year. Because of that, Dave was able to show how that their earlier repair was solid but the new leak was coming from somewhere else.
