I hired Water Systems Plumbing to install a gas water heater with an expansion tank and mixing valve. The installation itself was completed smoothly. However, during the visit I raised concerns about the exhaust venting, which had a visible crack and was shedding rust. Another plumber had previously suggested that rust debris may have contributed to failure of the prior unit. Despite this, my concerns were dismissed and I was told the venting was not an issue. The following day, while inspecting the vent, some rust debris became dislodged and fell into the flue. Shortly after, the water heater stopped working. When the team returned, I received conflicting explanations--initially that the debris should not have caused a failure, and later that it had "ruined" the unit. To their credit, they replaced the water heater under warranty. However, when I again requested replacement of the deteriorating vent pipe (the original concern), the response was defensive, and I was blamed for the failure. The interaction became unprofessional, and my concerns were not meaningfully addressed. Overall, while the installation was done competently, communication, troubleshooting, and customer service fell short. I would recommend that others clearly document concerns and confirm scope of work in writing before proceeding. read more

This is the second time I have worked with Eric and John (father/son team). The first time when I had issues with the thermostat control in the shower. Eric went above and beyond to contact the manufacturer to ensure the correct non-standard parts were ordered. He did all the leg work for me! We desperately needed the toilet in our main bathroom to get looked at. After my husband tried several home remedies to fix it, I finally got over my fear of calling people on the phone and gave Eric Forney a ring (heard about him through nextdoor). Eric and his son came out and replaced a defective RO system with one they normally install and recommend. They also did a small repair for our bathroom faucet which was leaking. They were efficient, friendly, and on-time. Yay! Clean water and we are no longer annoyed by water-wasting problems that they resolved so quickly. I have to give a shout out to Mike and his team. We had a pipe leak water through our living room ceiling and wall and after having holes made to find and fix the leak (by a different company) we decided to go ahead and replace all the pipes. Mike and his team came in on Tuesday and around noon on Wednesday everything was done. He also has a guy come in and do the drywalling and texturing and it looks amazing. Everybody was very friendly and they made sure they cleaned up after themselves, I also felt very comfortable leaving them to their thing when I needed to run errands. Water Systems Plumbing - 1st review :) The good people on Nextdoor . Com recommended these guys for plumbing jobs and I needed to have a really old toilet in my guest room replaced so I gave them a call and left a message. Within a few hours Erik called me back and setup and appointment for the next day and gave me a rough quote for the job. Fast forward erik called and said one of his jobs got canceled and asked if it was OK for them to come by now, I said Sure since they were just a few blocks away. Mike and Erik and one other guy came by since they were on there way to a bigger job after mine so I got 3 for the price of 1 ;) They went right to work and took out the old toilet and cleaned up the area as best as they could and showed me what would need to be done later with the hardwood floors and some touch up paint for areas now showing behind the new toilet. We had Water Systems replace our old pipes in our 70's home with copper. They did an excellent job, pipes were tightly secured, and work was completed on time. We had a leak from an upstairs toilet down through the ceiling in the laundry room below. Folks on Nextdoor recommended Mike and his family and we are glad we followed their advice. The job was more than it appeared at first but they stuck with it and didn't stop until the leak was completely repaired. Mike also repaired a second toilet as well. Plus, they are or were all baseball players/coaches and it doesn't get any better than that! Very friendly, very expert, very fair, and extremely conscientious. I have been using Mike and Eric Forney from Water System Plumbing for a number of years. An AO Smith water heater installed by Efficient Water Heaters started leaking. The owner of Efficient Water Heaters refused to come and diagnose the issue, saying that the water heater is out of labor warranty and I would have to contact the manufacturer . I called Mike from Water Systems Plumbing, who came within 10 minutes. He diagnosed the problem immediately to be a leaking hot water low-quality flex line that was installed with the water heater. He replaced it and the cold water flex line and problem has been solved. Highly recommend this company ! read more
