Well KaleYeah this place is amazing!! I initially visited this place at a pop-up location a few times in DC, but that location is no more. I took a road trip to this location, 1 1/2 driving time, and was highly impressed. It was pretty easy to locate using Google. The parking lot is kind of small. There's free street parking (be cautious of signage). As soon as you enter, there are obvious signs telling you which way to go. I saw a gorge Christmas Tree on November 8th and heard pleasant Holiday Music!! I was in heaven as holiday music is the best, my fav !! From Chris Breezy "This Christmas" to gospel holiday tunes, I was in Holiday Music Heaven !! Ok, Ok, enough about the music... but ... ok, ok... I will move on. The dining area was the perfect size, and there is a bar area w stools for sitting. There're also great wall hangings and decor. The area was welcoming and clean. A young gentleman took my order. He was very thorough. There was also a pleasant lady restocking beverages, answering the phone, and answering questions as needed. I think her name was "Sugar". She was super pleasant. I went to the counter and ordered my 32oz Get the Kale Out of Here w Grilled Shrimp and Lump Crab, add Bacon. Fantastic as expected!! Beautifully presented and well plated. I ate half while there. I had an amazing Guava & Passionfruit Lemonade that knocked my socks off!! It was sooo tasty, not too sweet and perfect ounce amount. The lavatory was clean, and stocked w neccessities. I have not stopped talking about this place and encouraging folks to visit. I will surely have my PG friends and fam meet me there next visit, and I am looking forward to visiting during the holiday season for the great tunes. Best Wishes to this Black Owned Business !!

The restaurant is a hidden gem. The restaurant tucked in an industrial area. However, once you get inside the building it's amazing filled with history and culture. The service is great and in a timely manner. I order almost everything the food was delicious and the drinks. The seating is open spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend food is amazing and the service. I will definitely be returning customer. The kale wasn't soggy with the mixture of the meats. The kale was fresh and well seasoned.

I always ride by but never stop. I had a taste for tacos and I decided to go to Kenny's Kale! I love the concept. I decided to get the salmon kale tacos. They were very filling and super fresh. The kale was well seasoned and fresh. The service was good. My order was definitely made to order. The location is small and homie. I plan to go back again to try their other options.

**3.5. First, the store is really nice. Clean, comfortable, well-decorated, great music and overall vibe. I ordered the Stay The Kale Away with chicken (love the names, btw!). When I say its garlic heavy, baybeeeee!! The name is SO appropriate! Be prepared to have no close conversations for the rest of the week! LOL The good: the service was pleasant and surprisingly fast. The portion is huge, making it a great value for the money. This could easily make 2 meals. And the kale is fresh and well-massaged (not too rough). The not so good: after a while, the garlic became overwhelming and a single note. I didnt taste the cheese at all. The chicken has an odd, dry texture and isnt particularly flavorful. Now I realize why most pics featured salmon or shrimp. I also wish they had a creamy dressing option. I had to add my own creamy ranch and some avocado to add that element. The current version is just too oily. It's definitely a healthy meal. But the overall taste could be improved imo. I want this business to win, so I will go back. I'll just try something else.

I am truly ADDICTED. I've set aside a budget specifically for this spot. Whenever I'm on the Temple Hills side of town--which happens at least two to three times a week--I always order my favorite--Oh KALE yea in advance. And depending on how close I am to payday, I may throw a lil steak on there. lol Every single person I've interacted with, whether on the phone taking my order or in person handling my payment, has been amazing. Plus, the delightful aroma that greets you as soon as you step inside is incredibly pleasant and inviting. I wish I could have that in my home!

I went here and it wasn't very crowded. There is a bar and tables and two people were sitting. I ordered the Oh Kale Yea which is a popular item and waited 15 minutes for it to be ready. To my surprise, I didn't really like this meal. The kale was a bit salty. The shrimp and crab meat was seasoned well when I ate it individually but mixed in with the kale, it didn't taste well. I may have to give this place another try to see if I change my mind about the food.

I was super excited to stumble across Kenny's Kale while looking for something healthy, filling and most importantly TASTY to eat. The food that we ordered hit each and every one of those targets - and then some!!! I had the 'Oh Kale Yea' Tacos , and as the name suggests... It is SUPER moreish !!! With each and every bite I was amazed at how much crab meat, shrimp, feta and yummy seasoning was loaded in each and every bite!!! This is such a great concept, and guilt free dining without any compromise on satisfaction. I did takeaway this visit, but next time I'll try dining in to get more of the Kenny's Kale experience.

I stopped in for a quick bite and the salad was exactly what I needed. Fresh greens, balanced flavors, and a dressing that wasn't overpowering. The service was polite and the restaurant felt clean and inviting. It's not the best salad I've ever had but I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

I didn't expect to love a salad this much, but the steak salad here was incredible. The steak was tender and cooked medium rare like I asked, and the mix of arugula and spring greens added a peppery bite. It came with blue cheese crumbles and crispy onions which gave it a great texture contrast. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully put together. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the space was bright and airy. It felt like a little treat without being too heavy. Highly recommend if you want something satisfying but still on the healthy side.

Decided to check this place out after seeing a review on Instagram from one of my favorite food influencers. I almost decided not to come here because the menu is VERY confusing. However, the staff on site were really nice clearly explained everything to me. I ended up getting three MiraKALE tacos: one with shrimp, one with crabmeat, and one that was supposed to be with steak.... but they accidentally gave me chicken instead. I was really looking forward to that steak, so I was kind of disappointed. These tacos are like no other tacos you've had before. They're stuffed with well-seasoned kale and the toppings are piled high on top. I appreciate them infusing a healthy dose of greens into every bite, but these tacos are SO messy to eat. Toppings dropping and flying all over the place! And because they only use one tortilla on the tacos, the whole thing starts to fall apart and disintegrate as soon as you pick it up. I was better off getting a bowl because although the tacos were absolutely delicious, it was a nightmare to try to keep them together. I appreciate that they put generous portions of proteins on top of the tacos. I was definitely not mad at the healthy amount of shrimp, crab, and chicken (although I had my heart set on that steak) I enjoyed. Especially for the price. I couldn't eat all three (And after almost wearing the first two, I definitely wasn't trying to go through that again). So for dinner, I deconstructed the last taco, put that seasoned kale in the air fryer and made me some kale chips, with some chicken and tortilla on the side. So freaking good!!! I also bought one of the juices they had in the cooler; the Sugar Sham. Despite all the flavors listed on the front of the bottle, it tasted like Kool-Aid.... And not very good Kool-Aid. No discernible flavor. Just sugar water. Also, the bottles with the black tops are leaky. I told the lady at the front she could see for herself, but just as I was getting ready to leave, they put the leaky bottles back in the refrigerator case. Parking is scarce and this place is kind of hard to find because the signage is so small. Just look for the building that looks like a house and has a used car sign on the front. As good as they were, I wouldn't get the tacos again because of the logistical nightmare of eating them while simultaneously trying not to wear them. However, I would come back to try their nachos or one of their bowls.

I got the 16oz Oh Kale Yeah (salad) and a banana pudding. IDK what they put on the kale but I was ready to drive back for another one!!! In addition to the seasoned kale, there was shrimp, lump crab meat, and red onions (excuse me if I missed something - going from memory). The lady that took my order said this salad was their top seller and I can definitely understand why. This was my first time at Kenny's Kale so I accidentally drove past it a few times because I didn't see the sign. The restaurant is in a building with another business (or so it appears) and the sign for the other business is bigger and higher. The lady that took my order was nice enough to sit on the phone and wave me down as I was passing on my 3rd time! Service was quick and customer service was excellent. I will definitely be back again!

Never disappointed! Learned about Kenny's Kale on social media and now I take the drive from Waldorf weekly to get my amazing meal! My favs: The original "Stay the Kale Away". I love garlic...and my my my does this satisfy my fix! It's packed with so much flavor I hate when it comes to an end. My other fav original flavor is "Oh Kale No". The spicy kick that this one brings sends my tastebuds into another world! If you like heat, you will enjoy this! The wife's fav: she pairs the specialty "Oh Kale Yes" with the original "Oh Kale No". Confused? Don't worry I got you! So the specialty flavors are protein based. So the "Oh Kale Yes" is lump crab and grilled shrimp and if you pair it with an original salad flavor, for example the "Oh Kale No" , you get a blend of awesomeness! Bottom line: Check out Kenny's Kale on Instagram, there you will find the menu and all the amazing kale pics. If you easily get overwhelmed by looking at the menu and trying to decide - the staff is patient and does a great job of explaining the deliciousness that will end up in your tummy! read more

I love the concept of Kenny's Kale. They're serving up Kale salads with various seafood fixin's. The flavor combo descriptions make it hard to choose! There's jerk options and more! My friend treated me here. The inside decor inside is cute and quaint. Inside there were about 5 barstools at a small countertop to wait for your food. There were also fresh squeezed lemonades, juices and teas. At the time we visited there were still some renovations happening in the back, which we were told would become an outdoor seating area. I'm rating the experience a two because it all boils down to the food! Which unfortunately was extremely greasy. The kale was drenched. In order to stomach the meal I had to literally pat the kale down with a paper towel to be edible. I initially thought it was the flavor I chose, but my friend's meal was the same! The amount of seafood they serve with the salad was generous but all in all I wouldn't dine here again. It would be a great establishment if they laid off the oil!! read more

I desperately wanted to rate higher but the salt content overpowered the dish. They have such great reviews on the salad that I had so maybe it was just an off day? Not sure! I ordered thru DoorDash so I can't speak on the ambiance or service. I will try them out again. Like I said, great reviews deserve another "go"!! read more

Oh Kale Yea! Dont be shy about the location, park your car and trust the process. When you walk in you will feel great vibes. Nice people that are very helpful. The restaurant feels like a cool juke-joint that feeds your soul and tummy! I recommend grabbing a juice out the fridge to go along with your order! I ordered the tacos with crab and shrimp (oh kale yea) but I plan on getting the the salad version next time. read more

This establishment is in a small house tucked away from St. Barnabus Rd. What's cool about this place is the laid-back atmosphere. You can grab a salad and a book and sit for hours. Unfortunately, I didn't have that kind of time, so I took my salad to go. I ordered the Oh Kale Yeah, which was good. It was a bit too oily at the bottom, but the salad was fantastic. I ordered the mid-sized and was able to make two meals out of it. read more

This is my first time going but my second time having their salad. The first time, someone brought it to me to try and the salad was pretty tasty which is why I opted to go again. This time, I ordered Get the Kale Out of Here, the salmon was well seasoned but the kale had this taste, not sure what it was, that wasn't nasty but became annoying after so many bites. The salmon was pretty small but packed a lot of flavor. I did try out their tacos from their other business so that's why there's tacos on my receipt!! Lol I'm going back to try their Nachos. read more

I was super excited to try this spot. Some friends and I tried the Kalebachi and it was pretty good. I really disliked the amount of oil in the bottom of the container which caused some of the kale in the bottom to be soggy. I can return occasionally to support this business. read more

I got the the Oh Kale Yea and the Oh Kale No. That combination was super spicy, but good. The flavors were amazing! I realized that Kale is not for me, the raw and coarseness of the veggie is overpowering. Of course that's a personal preference, and nothing to do with the dish! I've already recommended it! For the love of "Kale" this is a great place/ concept. I ordered seafood kale salad ( sorry, I don't remember the name) it was filling & plentiful... but mine was very Salty... I'm not sure what it was dressed with but I did taste the olive oil, SALT, and a hint of lemon. I will give them another try but I hope its not SALTY! read more

Food was amazing! I had been waiting to try this place for a while and wasn't disappointed. Always happy to support a black owned business. Service was okay...the wait was really long but I did go on a Saturday afternoon and when food is amazing you can expect a long wait so that wouldn't deter me from returning. Inside was really nice...there is seating available to dine in but we got our food to go. Highly recommended to anyone to go and try it out. You won't be disappointed! read more

We found this place while driving home from work -- thanks to Yelp! Though it's in the cut, it was worth the stop and I look forward to going back: the entry was well lit; the welcome from the staff was friendly and helpful; the tables and floor were clean; and the food was delicious! Topping it all off were the selfie wall - a nice way to lighten up after a long day of "seriousness", and a nice room off the side where we actually picked a band and played a vinyl on the record player while we ate. The kale salads here are amazing! I went based off a recommendation here on Yelp. I went one day and I was back the next day for more. KaleNo with shrimp, red onions and feta cheese was great! The tacos are HUGE! The menu is somewhat difficult to navigate at first. If you have any questions the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The store front in Temple Hills is very small and located in an industrial area. If you blink you may miss it. Follow your GPS instructions! The inside is very clean and quaint - ideal for small gatherings. I see this company expanding and being very successful. read more

The food was delicious. The serving size is great. The space is small, so the tables are a little crowded. The service was very good. The young lady who took my order was very polite and helpful. I was sure about my drink, she made a recommendation that I really enjoyed. Overall, it is a great choice if you're looking for a healthier option. I definitely will be going back. Just a heads up. The first time I ordered from this place, I loved it and couldn't wait to try it again. I told my daughter about it and she wanted to try it out. I called and placed an order for pickup. When my husband got home with the food, I was so disappointed. I had just paid a lot of money for three entrees. My salad was missing the shrimp that I paid extra for. I wind up just having a regular kale salad and it was so oily that it was very unpleasant. My daughter's salad was also missing items. My husband enjoyed his. I called them to complain but since it was a Saturday evening and they were closing soon there was nothing I could do. He asked me if I wanted to bring it back two days later (what?) no! He apologized but what good was that. I took pictures but never returned. Just lost a customer. Don't you check the customer's order to make sure it's right? I wrote this review as soon as I finished my taco. This was my first time, and the customer service was amazing. The food was so fresh and definitely made to order. PG County needs good salad places. We have enough fast fried food establishments. For this to be a salad, it was very filling. They also have mocktails that taste just like the real thing. I recommend the whisky drink. This place will be in regular rotation. I am so proud to have a tasty black owned salad restaurant on this side of PG. Everyone was extremely nice and welcomed me as it was my first time. read more

This was our first time trying Kenny's Kale and we weren't sure what to get. The lady working the register was super helpful in helping us decide. We ended up with the 2 L Stay the Kale Away with Cajun salmon/chicken & Jerk salmon/shrimp. We were scared it was going to be super salty, but we fell in love at first bite. I've only been twice and got the Kalebachi (chicken and shrimp) paired with the miraKale w/ added garlic and let me just say it's always DELISH!!!!! I luv the oil based kale, not too oily for me as others have shared. Price is on point to me. Cool atmosphere, friendly customer support, and convenient location. Trying to watch what I eat, so this will definitely be is my new go-to for a delicious kale salad. read more

I was concerned about the location --- off of Beech and Stamp Road in Marlow Heights where all of those car repair places are -- but ---....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT OH KALE YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Great food and service. Really, it's just kale. Eat here if you like kale. There's spicy kale and sweet kale and other flavors. Would be great if they could add a vegan protein. It may be the only vegan food in Mixt food hall, and it's definitely the healthiest. read more

Honestly great concept! I'm also a kale lover so this was a no brainer to drive 20 plus minutes for my salad craving, especially didn't mind because I'm pregnant and will do anything to satisfy that craving! The staff was so nice and it was fairly quick for fresh cooked seafood. Unfortunately, it did disappoint and I was honestly sad about it. It was extremelyyyy salty. Neither my fiancé or I could finish the salads and we had to throw them out. Definitely not fun because it's not like they were cheap. 2 stars for the nice staff though! read more

The food is very healthy here. I have had the tacos and a salad which were flavorful, but both times the kale tasted gritty as if it hadn't been washed thoroughly. Everything else was great, the staff is very pleasant, but I just couldn't get past the gritty taste of the kale. read more
