Decided to drop in as my friends and I were walking down the street back to our cars after having brunch a few doors down. Cookies are my thing. I'll choose a cookie over cake, brownies, or any other sugary goodness any day of the week. First impression - cute little shop with large jars of cookies and brownies! Both workers were very amiable and knowledgeable of their products. I was excited to dive into a variety of cookies and bought half a dozen, which scored me a free cookie! Woohoo! Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed with the cookies themselves. They were dry and crumbly, and the flavor was just okay. Stinks to write this because the people were sooooo nice! I really wanted to like this place, but I was expecting more gooey, moist cookies (think Barnes & Noble Starbucks cookies, Corner Bakery, Panera Bread, etc.). I have followed Kessler Baking Studio on Instagram for well over a year (salivating over all the pictures wondering if it tastes as good as it looks). Today was my first time to actually visit this business and I got my answer. I knew it would be a while before I could return. So my friend and I sampled a few things. The walnut brownie is AMAZING - so moist and decadent. The blondie is like having a baked version of heaven but this e-LEMONADER cookie has brought tears to my friend's eyes (and mine)!!!!The lemon zest just elevated the flavor to a level beyond the stars . The soft and chewy center is exactly how I think every cookie should be. Honestly, this cookie should be against the law!!! My only regret is that we didn't buy more!!! Cute little place. Met the owner, he is very nice. Told my friends and I how he started his business. The place was very clean and neat. the smell of fresh baked goods greets your nose as soon as you open the door. I purchased two cookies, 1 chocolate chip and 1 cranberry walnut. I also purchased a brownie. Yes I ate all 3 please dont judge me. But they were all delicious the cookies were soft but not too soft they had good flavor. You can tell that they were made with fresh ingredients and lots of love. The Brownie was good nice crust on the outside and soft on the inside. I would support this business over any other such as Tiff's treats. If you haven't been there you need to go, ASAP and change your life. read more

These cookies are the best. I get different cookies every time I come. But they have a rewards program so that you make the most of your dollars. The owner is really nice and explained each cookie with care and passion. My favorite cookie is the hot chocolate cookie. It is to die for. The cookies are the right consistently, the right crumb size and great for overall size. The cookies are worth the price. The place is clean and it is easy to find. This place is very cool. It's open on Sunday afternoon. The blondie is totally tasty. The owner obviously takes great pride in the delicious treats and yummy snacks. The parking wasn't an issue but no one was in there before us so it started with us having the place to ourselves. I had restraint and only got one cookie, an oatmeal cranberry walnut that I have saved for larger, and the blondie. There's a good selection, and even the gluten free stuff looked really good! I gotta go back and try some of the other stuff. read more

This was a nice adventure. The bakery looks like it use to be a house it was renovated very nicely. The inspirational stones in the walk way into the store is a nice touch. There are a lot of cookies and brownies to choose from you have to go often to try them all. I tried my favorite cookie of all time Chocolate chip it was soft on the inside and filled with chocolate chips. This is one of the best cookies I've had in a long time. I love Clyde's bakery. My daughter and I come weekly; sometimes twice a week. Everything is always consistent as far as tastiness. We can taste the difference variances being we come so often; but this bakery never fails! The customer service is a delight upon entering. You feel cozy and at home seeing the collection of cookie jars displayed. They also sell seasoned nuts. It's a nice nostalgic feel you get...It's also nice that the place is open later than 5. You can definitely tell how much love this person has for baking. It's easy to tell if someone just packed sugar, chocolate, or anything they can to satisfy a customer. You can even tell if the person didn't care what they were baking. But...this case is totally different. The ratio is perfect. I didn't think I could feel so much love in a cookie. As a well known cookie connoisseur, I have found the best cookie for many, many miles, and it is right here on Beckley at Madison in Oak Cliff. Setting up shop in an old house only a few minutes from downtown Dallas, this is an incredible find. I have tried the Chocolate Pecan and Oak Cliff Ranger, and both are spectacular. My wife loved the Oatmeal White Chocolate, and a friend had the Oatmeal Cranberry Nut, which was also magnificent. I like the texture of the cookies and the crispness. However they are more savory than sweet. They reminded me more of a breakfast biscuit or biscotti that you would have with coffee or tea, more than a sweet snack or desert. Their cookies are good but I wouldn't say it's great. Maybe it's just not for me. I find the prices too steep and the texture is off. I prefer my cookies crisp on the outside but soft chewy on the inside. This cookie is big no doubt and it's thick and doughy, kinda like a scone texture. Wife and I bought 12 and we felt the same way about each one. I could tell it's made with good ingredients, It's just not my cup of tea.
