We hit this place up on our way back to our car after leaving Jonathan's and I want to say that it was worth it. This is a cool little place where they have a lot of good baked goods. We decided to try a couple of cookies and I wanted the brownie, which were all very good. I just like to say that it is good to see Oak Cliff, (where I grew up) make a come back and revived by little local shops such as this one and Jonathan's and others. read more

Found this place when I searched for "cookies in Dallas." I tried their Kesslerdoodle, chocolate chip, oatmeal toffee chocolate chip, hot chocolate, and brownie. All were moist, rich, and delicious! The hot chocolate is soooo good!!! Must try!! They offer different cookies on different days. I can't wait to try their other cookies! I bought a 12-pack of assorted cookies to take to my out-of-town family. The website was easy to navigate to place the order, curbside pickup was safe and fast, and the cookies....!!! Absolutely amazing. They are massive, and 5 of us consumed 12 within 24 hours. We especially loved the honey roasted peanut butter and oatmeal chocolate toffee! read more

This review is in the 3.5 range. I had the oatmeal chocolate chip toffee cookie, which was really good. However, it is hard to find others because Kessler does not have a store front. You must find them at other local shops. When you call then to order some cookies you cant really order a sampler unless you order 4 or 5 tons. What regular person wants that many. Jeez. This would be inconvenient for someone who wants 1 or 2 dozen cookies at the most. I called the company and asked what could be done I was told that I would get a call back.... that did not happen. So I liked the cookie but it is kinda to hard to get a the cookies( variety ) and freshly baked for you. Plus not all shops have all the flavors. It is just inconvenient. So if a store front opens I would probably try them again. read more

Nice staff, cute shop, and good cookies. The shop itself is in a converted home. You walk in to the main area and see a bunch of large cookie jars filled with some tasty looking cookies cookies. The guy who took my order was really friendly and helpful and was more than willing to answer my questions. Also gave me a lot of information about their business - all products made from scratch and using local Texas butter. I like hearing little tidbits about these businesses. The cookies themselves were delicioouus. Crunchy around the sides, and chewy on the inside. Nice portion sizes, and not a terribly bad deal for $2 per cookie. I tried a brownie as well, but it was a bit too much chocolate for me. read more

Ran into this place making a food delivery and very glad I did! Clyde was very friendly and helpful. I had the chocolate holiday crinkle cookies which are only here for a limited time and it was the best cookie I've ever had I cant wait to go back and get more. WOW. This bakery was fantastic. When I walked in, the owner immediately greeted me, and when I told him it was our first time, he volunteered to explain every cookie to me in detail. I love to stop here when in the area. They have so many flavors to try! One could choose to be stubborn and get their favorite goodie everytime orrrr the more advanced sweet eaters will try something different each time to up their sweet tooth knowledge lol. The cashiers are always friendly and the decor is so cute. One could do a little photo shoot there. The blondie snicker doodle will blow your mind. My fav cookie is the choco chip pecan. read more

Look I could repeat what everybody says about how cute it is or how friendly the owner is, and they are both lovely. But honestly, I would go here if it was a shack run by a troll. The blondies and strawberry rice crispy treats are that good. I have always judged blondies for being a sad brownie, but oh my goodness do yourself a favor and get the blondie with ginger in it. I'll start by saying the flavors are all fantastic. *But*.. I bought about 8 cookies, a peanut butter brownie and a blonde. Every single item except the blondie was dry, dry, dry and almost bread like. The blonde had an almost eggy look to it and too dark around the edges. I'm not sure how a cookie gets a bread like consistency, but that's how they are made. Probably would've been better if they had been taken out of the oven a few minutes earlier. Anyways, not my cup of tea unfortunately.. the young man working today was incredibly kind and helpful. read more

How could anyone give less than 5 stars? I literally asked the owner if he would bring me curbside cookies in my old age. He said he already does that for others! So to be clear--his sweet house/bakery in up a bunch of stairs I won't be able to climb in 20 years! This precious man followed his passion, rode his wave of popularity, and provides THE MOST AMAZING pastries in Dallas! We had a hot chocolate--get on board with spicy chocolate! I went here with some friends and I am so happy we found this little gem. The place smells heavenly and has so many options. I tried the Blondie brownie and a Kesslerdoodle both $6.50. The brownie looked like it might be hard but it was so moist and not dry, pure deliciousness with the white chocolate chips. My favorite cookie palace! The cookies are awesome and the service is always with a smile! All of the cookies are large enough to share but who would want to do that! Oatmeal cranberry walnut is fantastic. So many cranberries and just the right amount of walnuts! My husband loves the chocolate chip! Every time we go that's all he gets. 5 stars without hesitation. Every person has their own very specific mental image of what a cookie or brownie ought to be, but just go ahead and throw that right out the window and just appreciate these cookies for what they are. And what they are is huge, like dessert plate sized. They are also firmer, possibly indicating a slightly higher flour content, yet uniformly tender if not soft. They have a lovely flavor with their high quality butter, extracts, and spices. The only one I found bland was the plain chocolate chip but that blandness is beautifully resolved with the addition of toasted pecans, so I recommend the pecan chocolate chip instead. Their brownies are unbelievable. They're the same gigantic size as the cookies and they're thick and fudgey with a crackly top. So far my favorite is just the plain chocolate. I almost want to say that they're even better than the cookies, but that's like comparing apples to oranges so I'll just say that they're equally worth trying. Plus, this business itself is quite lovely. Beautiful shop, kindly staff/owner, loyalty program, and they throw in extras like free 7th cookie when you buy 6! And yes, it's pricey... this is Bishop Arts/Kessler Park/Dallas after all. read more

I decided to drop in as had read all the reviews on yelp and well who doesn't love a good cookie. Nice little shop with jars of cookies and brownies. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable of their products. They had a party or something going on so it was very loud so I could hardly hear the workers. I would advise them to have a separate room or something when party's are going on so other customers can hear or at least talk. I really didn't like the cookies or the brownie's. They both felt dry and crumbly. I was really expecting more a moist/soft cookie. They weren't the worst I've ever had but I expected more when that is your specialty. I really wanted to love this place as I haven't really found a great dessert place by Trinity Groves. read more

The fiance and I had a serious case of the sweet tooth but didn't want to travel far to satisfy it. I wanted pie, he wanted cookies. He won. We had always driven by this place on the way to Jonathons or heading home from work and wasn't sure if it was just catering or if they actually sold individual treats. Luckily we decided to pop in to find out and were amazed at all of the different varieties of cookies and blondies on the menu. At any given time there are about 30 delectable treats to choose from. We ordered an oatmeal toffee cookie, a peanut butter cookie, a chocolate chip cookie blondie ( which had actual cookie inside) and a few other delicious treats. Each one was very moist and were huge! The owner was super friendly and really enjoys his craft. I'm sure we will frequent this place when our sweet tooth hits. read more

Decided to drop in as my friends and I were walking down the street back to our cars after having brunch a few doors down. Cookies are my thing. I'll choose a cookie over cake, brownies, or any other sugary goodness any day of the week. First impression - cute little shop with large jars of cookies and brownies! Both workers were very amiable and knowledgeable of their products. I was excited to dive into a variety of cookies and bought half a dozen, which scored me a free cookie! Woohoo! Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed with the cookies themselves. They were dry and crumbly, and the flavor was just okay. Stinks to write this because the people were sooooo nice! I really wanted to like this place, but I was expecting more gooey, moist cookies (think Barnes & Noble Starbucks cookies, Corner Bakery, Panera Bread, etc.). If you're not a cookie freak like me and just want a little (well a lot..cookies are big haha) something sweet with friendly service, definitely stop by! read more

I have followed Kessler Baking Studio on Instagram for well over a year (salivating over all the pictures wondering if it tastes as good as it looks). Today was my first time to actually visit this business and I got my answer. I knew it would be a while before I could return. So my friend and I sampled a few things. The walnut brownie is AMAZING - so moist and decadent. The blondie is like having a baked version of heaven but this e-LEMONADER cookie has brought tears to my friend's eyes (and mine)!!!!The lemon zest just elevated the flavor to a level beyond the stars . The soft and chewy center is exactly how I think every cookie should be. Honestly, this cookie should be against the law!!! My only regret is that we didn't buy more!!! Also, these are the best I've had in Dallas), huevos rancheros, and the tostadas appetizers. Every meal comes with a homemade assortment of unique and tasty savory breads which is my favorite part. The restaurant specializes in brunch and breakfast foods but also has dinner. The view from inside is beautiful.
