    Plastic cup for inside dining.

09.13.25 My wife and I decided to head to Ketch 22 for an early dinner. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was completely packed, which worried me since I didn't think we'd need a reservation before 5 p.m. To my surprise, when we walked in the restaurant was only partially filled, and the bar area was empty, so we took seats there so we could also watch the college football games that were on the tvs. The bartender explained that she had noticed the same thing when she arrived -- the lot was full, but it turned out there was a wedding reception scheduled next door later in the evening. We already knew what we wanted before we left home: the pork tacos, which are a favorite of ours. My wife ordered hers with cucumber salad, while I went with the fresh-cut fries. Both dishes came out just as good as always -- flavorful, fresh, and consistent. Between the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and even some live music outside, it made for another enjoyable visit. We'll definitely be back.

Great view, great service and great food, what more can you ask for on a Saturday afternoon. This spot is located inside of a resort, however you don't have to be a guest to enjoy the good eats. Let me start by saying the server was very attentive and knowledgeable. I started off with an orange crush, which was tasty. Then followed up with a crab cake entree with rice and Caesar salad which was all tasty. I do think the price was a bit high for the platter--I feel like the cakes could've been a bit larger I would recommend the platter if don't mind paying $59 for it, however it can be a meal for 2 if you make it.

The customer service was great! Love the location as you can look out to see Chesapeake Bay. For the time of day, we ordered appetizers Deviled eggs and wings. They were delicious, well seasoned, and plenty for more than 2 people. For entrees, we ordered them the Ketchch 22 speciality burger and Rock fish nuggets and salad. Will visit again

Quite frankly, the atmosphere made this place worth coming to. We will go back. However, our shrimp was overdone, the crab quesadilla had about 2 teaspoons (not tablespoons) worth of crab sandwiched between an extremely flat (thin) and tasteless cheese. It was the smallest quesadilla I've ever seen. My husband got the pork tacos, which he thought were also overdone. It could've been that it was a very busy day, but flavor wise it was exactly what you would expect. The service was good. Our appetizer (quesadilla) came out after our food.

Ketch 22 was a go to for water side dining. We were quickly served and attended to like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. I had an appetite for light fare so I went for crab dip, Ahi Tuna Taco and a side of cucumber salad, which I loved by the way. So much so the manager Andrea gave me the recipe (sometimes it's the little things). My waitress Emily K was on point with her other menu suggestions and responsiveness. Food, service and ambiance was definitely a 10! We referred family there and they had the same experience! Can't wait to get back!

Hoping to celebrate my birthday today with an enjoyable meal at Ketch 22. Unfortunately after eating just a portion of the ahi tuna salad I was met with a black hair! I informed my server who gave me an apologetic sorry darlin. I was offered another salad but as I was revolted I opted out

My perfect foodie bestie and I always get into something cool on the weekends. He knows I love the water so to end our weekend with a bang, he brought me to Ketch 22 for Sunday Funday! Oh North Beach, what a gem! Cute neighborhood spot, people had their boats docked, and were literally coming just to dine off their boats. We got an outside table, people near us were cool. We started off with deviled eggs, they were yummy! Had bacon on top. Good! Crabcake sandwiches hit the mark, comparable to some of Marylands finest I've had! We had cocktails because on Sunday we have Funday and what's a Funday Without a drink. We crushed a lot of crushes! The Yelp Verdict, come try! You won't be disappointed. Service was stellar and the employees were sweet!

I use the term "Catch 22" all the time so when I saw this restaurant use that play on words we had to try it out! Sitting smack on the water in North Beach, what a cool chill vibe on a warm Sunday afternoon. Just 35min from the crib, Ketch 22 was well worth the drive. The menu is pretty standard for waterfront restaurants in Maryland so we both chose the jumbo lump crab cakes. They were delicious.. All meat and very little filler. The bacon topped deviled eggs were just as delicious. Service was outstanding and the patrons were super friendly. I'm re-discovering North Beach/Chesapeake Beach. Eventhough I loved everything about this place, I have to try other restaurants before I come back which is the proverbial "Ketch 22"..lol

Stopped in for a quick drink before a rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening! The interior is clean and the bathrooms were tidy. I liked the outside bar you have a wonderful view and there is both indoor and outdoor dining areas. While I only tried to drinks, the food looked amazing. My friends ordered the fried pickles and they relayed that the pickles may have been cut too large. The service here was awesome. Multiple outside bartenders and many of them helped when our friend passed out from the heat. They were calm and followed policy which I appreciated! I definitely recommend Ketch 22!

It was 4 PM when we arrived, wasn't very busy, so we decided to sit outside on the deck rather than inside. Each table has its own umbrella, which was nice because it did drizzle a little while we were eating. Our waitress was very nice and greeted us shortly after we sat down. She took our drink order. My wife had an iced tea, and I ordered the Upside Down Mule, a refreshing mix of Tito's, pineapple purée, and ginger beer. The drink was okay, but even though it was described as having pineapple purée, I really couldn't taste any pineapple. The funny thing was when I went to pick up the mug by the handle, the handle came right off! I mentioned it to our waitress, and she offered to get me a new cup, but I was fine using the cup without the handle. For dinner, my wife ordered the 1/2-pound shrimp, Baltimore style--onions, potatoes, Old Bay and butter, with an extra $3 charge. I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for $44, described as a fresh, no-filler jumbo lump crab cake. It came with fried Brussels sprouts and an additional side, which I chose as the Sweet Corn Summer Salad--charred sweet corn, confit tomato, fried black beans, roasted red pepper and cilantro over romaine lettuce, cotija cheese, creamy lime dressing and fried tortilla strips. I noticed that my salad had green peppers instead of red peppers. Since I cannot eat green peppers, I asked our waitress about it. She told me that was how it comes. However, the menu specifically says roasted red pepper, not green pepper. This is something the restaurant really needs to correct, either on the menu or with the kitchen, so someone doesn't order the dish expecting red peppers and end up with something they cannot eat. I caught it dyer my first bite eating. Then came another issue. My wife's dinner came out, but my meal wasn't ready. She waited for me, and I finally told her to go ahead and eat before her food got cold. About 10 minutes later, my meal finally came out. I don't understand why both meals didn't come out together. We weren't ordering crabs or something that would obviously come out when ready. We were ordering two regular dinner entrées, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Ten minutes is a long time between two meals, especially when one person is sitting there waiting while the other is eating. When my meal finally arrived, everything looked good, but I was disappointed with the size of the crab cake. For $44, and being listed as a dinner entrée rather than a sandwich, I expected a much larger crab cake. What makes this even more disappointing is that a picture of the dinner on their website shows two crab cakes, while the crab cake sandwiches pictured on the website were actually larger than the single crab cake I received with my dinner. I understand pictures can sometimes be for presentation purposes, but there was a pretty big difference between what I saw online and what was actually served. More importantly, the crab cake needed to be cooked a little longer. It should have had more browning on the outside not just shack some old bay on it, and the food needed to be hot. The crab cake was only warm, and even the Brussels sprouts were just lukewarm. The food itself had good flavor, but there were several things that need some cleaning up. $44 is a lot for a 4-ounce crab cake, especially when it isn't served hot and the Brussels sprouts are lukewarm. Overall, the meal was ok, but we expected more for the prices, we eat out a lot and don't mind paying for good food! The service was friendly, but the timing of the meals, the temperature of the food, the size of the crab cake, and the issue with the peppers are things the restaurant should address. And then charge 3% for a credit card fee and not even tell us. Would have been 4-5 stars without issues.

We arrived around 6:30 PM and were surprised to see the parking lot pretty empty. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly by the bartender, who took our drink order. Both of us ordered the Mrs. Maryland Club, which is made with shrimp salad, a crab cake, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The sandwich arrived fairly quickly and looked good, but right away we noticed something seemed different from our last visit. The biggest disappointment was the size of the crab cake and amount of shrimp salad. The last time we were here, the crab cake covered the entire sandwich and shrimp salad was falling off the sandwich. It was one of the reasons we remembered it so fondly. This time, the crab cake was noticeably smaller just a little bigger than a golf ball the shrimp salad was just 7 baby shrimp and the chips I got maybe 12-15 chips and half of them were rubbery, overall the sandwich just didn't seem as substantial as we remembered. The little shrimp salad had good flavor, the bacon was cooked nicely, and everything tasted fresh. It just didn't live up to the memory of our previous visit, not worth $21 for sure. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and as always, the waterfront location is a nice place to enjoy a meal. Overall, the Mrs. Maryland Club is still a good sandwich, but based on our experience, the portions seem to have gotten a lot smaller. We'll likely return again, but we hope to see the sandwich brought back to the size and quality that made it so memorable the first time.

On our first try, we got lost in DC and never found the correct freeway to get to the beach--3 hours wasted! Second try-- same deal. Finally, we got smart phones and figured out how to get East of DC. The following is our 100% factual experience. When we pulled into the dirt parking lot of Abner's Crab House, I could tell my husband was already re-thinking the our restaurant choice. The decor from the outside looks rustic and authentic so I talked him into getting lunch at Abner's (we're new to the East coast and just HAD to try some crabs...). We were seated outside near a tributary and some trash cans that were swarming with flies and smelled much worse than low-tide. There was one other table of people outside near us. At this point, I revealed to my husband that on the East Coast, people straight up crack and eat whole crabs (this offended his Mid-Western sensibilities) and he ordered a crab-cake sandwich. I ordered 6 whole crabs and our waitress taught me how to smash them with a mallot,"remove their lungs", and eat the meat. I was feeling VERY cave-woman at this point. Husband's face? Priceless. The food was nothing special to me, it was a new experience to eat crabs this way but I could not get over the smell of the trash cans and the flies. About half-way through our meal, the most surreal and bizarre thing happened. A little boy and his mother brought out a karaoke machine, set it up about 4 feet from us, and the mother started belting into the microphone. Since it was far too loud for me to hear my own thoughts, let alone speak with my husband: I continued my crab-smashing/lung removing lunch in silence. The next thing we know, the little boy puts on a top-hat and starts singing and dancing to several Michael Jackson songs. The performance was complete with crotch-grabs and moon-walking. Remember there was ONE other table of people sitting outside... Weirdest. Day. Ever.

"Waste o' time, Bobby, you won't find the critter there," Sam Guthrie (Cannonball), the oldest of the teenagers that make up the New Mutants, responded, "It'll be here." "What are you talking about, Sam? Explain yourself!" "Stands t' reason, ever since we've known her, Dani's had a special fear of a spirit bear she said murdered her parents. None of us really really gave the story much credit, after all who believes in magic?" Sam paused oh so slightly before continuing. " 'Cept Illyana's a real witch, an' we fought demons and sorceresses. Maybe Dani wasn't kidding." Sam shifted his tone to reveal his evidence. "Illyana tells me Dani spent the last week or so in the Danger Room fighting bears! T'night, she walked out into a [winter] storm, alone, armed with a bow an' arrows an' wearing war paint! And got mauled. We were wrong t' doubt her. We should'a listened, we should'a seen the signs." Whenever my wife and I visit a restaurant or bar for the first time, whether we are there by ourselves or--in this case--treated to a meal by our favorite neighbors--I can count on her to sort through, heed, and pick up on every nuance in every aspect of culinary service that is there to be sensed. In this case, at the Dockside Restaurant & Sports Bar at 421 Deale Road in Maryland, the food was mostly wonderful, and the prices were more than reasonable for this economy. What prevents Dockside from receiving at least four stars was primarily the service. Two orders of fries, one sweet potato and one regular, weren't hot; and although our waitress reluctantly brought one of the orders back to exchange it for a new batch, the fries didn't taste any warmer. Our other host ordered his crabcake lightly-fried, only for it to be brought out broiled. He still enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly what he wanted or ordered.
