They have a good crush in a variety of flavors, but don't use fresh squeezed fruit to make them. Wish they would make a margarita from scratch and a crush with fresh squeezed fruit. Sat outdoors with great views of the harbor. Weather wasn't too hot. It took a little longer than usual to get a waitress but eventually she arrived and we were brought water. After this, she was pretty much ghost throughout the entire time. I want to say she had a few tables inside and outdoors. Either way, the FOOD made up for everything! We came here for a late lunch on a damp grey day. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the menu has many tempting choices. You have small bites which include a couple of crab choices, crab beignets, oysters and other items. The mid plates include salads, mussels etc. The entrees include hamburgers, Cubano sandwich, braised pork tacos, steak etc. We had deviled eggs, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, mussels and Ahi tuna tacos. Situated on the water with a great view and a very family friendly atmosphere. First visit while staying with friends in Chesapeake Beach and my kids and I enjoyed. I love the adherence to guidelines in light of COVID. We opted to dine outside, our server was attentive and took great care of us in spite of the wind that whipped our menus all over. I can't recall the cocktail I had but it was delish along with the brussel sprouts and cream of crab soup. I didn't much care for the deviled eggs. The food has been consistently good. Better in-house than carry out of course. If you are a vegetarian your options are really slim. Happy to see a veg risotto added. But the menu is a pork fest. However you can ask if the ever present bacon, can be left out and all servers have been knowledgable enough to help what some options are. (I will definitely be back to try the oysters) HUGE Bourbon Bacon burger was nice with rosemary fries. Atlantic cod tacos we're stuffed and yummy. Cucumber salad needed something...red onion or a herb or something. Waitress even gave us an extra scoop of ice cream so the 3 of us could share a sundae for dessert!! Overall: We had reservations during happy hour. Our waitress explained the happy hour offers and so we proceeded to order based on her explanation only to find out that none of what she reported was part of the happy hour special. Several drinks and meals and sides later we were served the bill at full price and when questioned, received very little explanation. Main course: Salmon salad: slimy, unsophisticated Steamed shrimp: full price although waitress said it was a happy hour special. Apparently they were out of the "street corn" side special at 4:30 pm, so had to settle for the only vegetable side: abundance of overcooked brussel sprouts. Had a really nice time sitting on the deck for dinner last night. Our server, Taylor, was great. Loved the craft beer draft selection. Felt unique for this area. We splurged and had the crab dip, steak tacos, chicken salad melt, peach shortcake and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. The pretzels served with the crab dip were the perfect pairing. I took half my chicken salad home because I knew I had to have room to try the peach dessert. It didn't disappoint. I am anxious to come back and try more of the menu. The overall setting of the restaurant is quite beautiful. The location is right on the water. The wait for the food took around 20-30 min. The appetizers came after our meal which was a little inconvenient. However the flatbread steak pizza was quite delicious. Definitely an 8/10 on the pizza scale. The wings were tossed in great sauce just could have used a little more. The fried pickles were a little thick but tasted great especially paired with the sauce. The food tasted great and I'm sure service changes with the daily flow. But it was Happy Hour! Apps were half priced and it was definitely a bang for our buck. read more

Finally! An injection of culinary good taste at Herrington Harbour South. I want to hug the people who founded this place and who run it. It is clear that this new restaurant was carefully planned with the owners of Herrington Harbour to address a problem of past collisions with its customers and slip holders. You can see the dilemma for a restaurant that wants to be more upscale in a lower income MAGA zip code where most locals eat food with their hands and must, at all times, wear a hat. The clever menu navigates cheerfully between the local gentry and those with fancy yachts. Its a new establishment and Ketch 22 is in it's infancy where the staff and owners are walking on a knife edge for success. I have had everything on the menu since the opening and all of it is good if not exceptional for the price point (Truthfully, this is a rather economical restaurant considering the location, quality of staff and menu.) The design of the interior of the new establishment is aggressive for the area and it is refreshing and even a wee bit urban. Who cares, when you enter at night, this place is gorgeous. It has the feeling of a private club and the friendly staff reinforces that with every visit. I would write more, but I am late for dinner at Ketch 22. read more

Went here for lunch yesterday and our waitress was Emily who actually had the same first and last name as me. So it was kismet for us to eat here I suppose. Emily was amazingly friendly and handled our party of 9 wonderfully. My daughter got the fried pickled and they were like these huge deli pickles that were cut up and sliced. She absolutely loved them. Their cheese curds were awesome! The crab cake sandwich was delicious with hand cut fries. My mom's burger was freaking enormous and had rosemary bacon on it. She said it was wonderful also. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the portions were great. But the best part was the Salted Watermelon Crush that I had. My mom got the Grapefruit one at lunch but after tasting mine she opted for the Salted Watermelon one.. My mom and I went back later in the evening and saw the band Skribe and man, they were totally great. It just made for a wonderful beachy vibe vacation and everyone was super friendly!!
